- There are some scenes in the Hospital but Elsie's Court Case start takes up the majority of this episode.Nice seeing a face from early 60's Street here as well,Sheila Birtles.I don't know when that character last appeared on screen.I know Sheila appeared again in the early 70's,as she and Jerry Booth dated for a time later on.Anyway hope you enjoy another vintage edition.
Lovely - Anne Reid as Valerie is so brilliant she never seems to be acting at all!
Thank you - subscribed.
True. Like Aner Reid, Bryan Mosley as Alf Roberts never seemed to be acting also. All his dialogue seemed very natural.
@@gearoid9835 Yes, spot on, he was fantastic.
When Dot confesses to Elsie. Another classic. Cheers Steve.
Dot Cotton was in Eastenders
Ive seen a small clip of Dot telling Elsie the truth in a video of Elsie Tanner. So to see the whole episode is wonderful. I hope you can share what happens next. Really grateful to you ❤
Yes I have the rest of the month to hand Danny.Every few days will upload next one, unless it's already up on TH-cam.Which isn't that often .
@@SteveHarris-nv9iy thankyou ever so much. I spent years thinking id never see these. Its pure gold.
I remember seeing this back in 1969 ( I was 13 ! ) . Won't spoil it for you saying what the verdict is though !
Thanks for this. Often heard about the theft but never actually seen it. ❤
It's crazy to think people watching this then had been watching men walking on the moon four months previously!
Not that bothered about the moon landing, it's a ball of rock, Corrie is better
I like watching these.
Brilliant mate thanks
Can't wait for 12th November.
Kens not changed much... Still irritating
Brilliant
Poor Elsie
Dicky Fleming looks like Fred West.
Jesus that's bad no wonder the marriage was in trouble.Even without Ray around.Must be the thick curly hair he had then.
Absolutely loving these uploads. Have you got 1st December 1969 available?
Yes I have,no point skipping on just a few at this point.Hope to get to it in maybe 2 weeks.Aim on skipping out 17th November as it's already up on here.
Great. I’d also be keen to see some episodes from 1962, 1963 or 1964 that aren’t already on TH-cam. A possibility for future uploads possibly?
I'm waiting for someone to upload the 8th December 1975 episode. I missed it as it was busy day for me - I was 10 minutes old when it went on the air.
@@matthewlawrenson3628 One I'm missing too...
14:04 Eric Prytherch tries some tricksy camera moves. Must have taken a while to set up in studio during an "as live" recording. Unfortunately, the camera guys appear not to have had much practice with those kind of shots. It's the vision mixer I feel sorry for, having to get the timing right when the floor assistant cues up the other set.
Michael Hawkins here more affable than the roles he usually got at this time (eg his two episodes of Softly Softly : Task Force; his part in Frontier In Space). He's trying his hardest not to look as sinister as he usually does on screen - which to be fair, in the typecast world of 60s and 70s TV drama is what he was usually brought in for.
This episode is probably responsible for more working class feminist awakenenings than any other given the behaviour here of Ken Barlow and Albert Tatlock. Odd to see Jack Walker in the snug - probably the courtroom sets took up the studio space and they didn't have room to put up the back rooms of the Rovers.
I have done first Terry Scully guested Angels you know Matthew. As you mentioned it recently coming up thought you would have seen by now.
All with arms in slings 😅
Well this is the aftermath of a coach crash you know?.Have to expect some injuries.
How come the titles are in black and white?
They haven't recorded new titles yet Bobby Ewing. Will be introduced soon.
These episodes were still transmitted in black and white on the usual frequency during the first four colour episodes. They did however do test transmissions on a different frequency to prepare for the new service, but it was not advertised so few actually saw the first four episodes in colour when it initially aired. The first advertised colour episodes was transmitted on the 17th November 1969.
have you oct 2 1974
I don't know off top of my head.At work at present, can check my files tonight ok?.
Jesus christ that is old 😂
Might sound a daft question, but why has everybody got an injured right arm....?!
Well there was a Coach crash. And whichever side they were sat on would have caused most injury to them.
Ok, i see, thanks Steve.@@SteveHarris-nv9iy
Is that audrey at 5:30 mins
Audrey Fleming yes it is.She was a regular character then so not surprising.
@@SteveHarris-nv9iy is it Gail's mum
@@gazelliott2414 No of course not. That was another Audrey entirely.Introduced first in 1979,10 years on from this.
