This is one of my favorite places that I have fished. So many animals running around the whole time I was fishing. I also love wading streams when it is hot - it's nice to be able to walk to all the good spots. Filming in this type of place is easy because as you say - all I have to do is just fish and have fun. Thanks for watching!
@@BackroadsAngling I appreciate that man. Feel free to tell me what I should work on. Any suggestions are welcome. I enjoy your content and look forward to seeing new videos!
I could go lighter on the line but I like to use as big of hook as I can get away with for the catfish. That usually keeps them from swallowing it. It's difficult when you are catching so many species because the hook and line that is perfect for catfish is sometimes too big for suckers and smaller fish. Thanks for watching!
I haven't ever caught a bluegill from this creek. They are probably in there but don't seem to be very abundant surprisingly. I expected to have a decent chance to catch a largemouth, drum, white bass or walleye but we will save those for next time.
That looked like a blast man. For the smallie that swallowed that hook, you can get a gut hook remover tool (made by eagle claw) from Walmart for like $0.94
OK I will check it out. Sometimes I am able to get them out if I am patient but this fish had the hook in a really awkward spot in the throat. I think from now on when I creek fish I will use barbless hooks. In this case it would have come right out except the barb was buried.
@16:12 when you said theres just a mouse , there was also what appeared to me as a beaver if you look a little more up leftish . Beautiful sightings
Ok, I will go back and take a look at the footage. He must have been sneaking around! Thanks!
@@BackroadsAngling i just happen to spot him moving around he forsure was trying to be sneaky haha😂
That is a cool place. I'm glad you just go fishing and enjoy it. Keep up the great content.

Over here most of us, use small hooks and thin line and have to play the fish in. Must say you do not fool around, was great watching. Thanks!

Looked like a blast! Any time you can mix species like that is great. Regards
Nice to see lot of species and also a lot of wildlife! Thanks for watching!
Okay, so you catch a buffalo, smallmouth, and multiple channels, how have you not caught a bluegill!?🤣

@@BackroadsAngling Weirdly enough in the creeks that I’ve fished, there are so many small largemouths but almost zero smallies
@@ComradoftheWest In my area I also catch a lot more largemouths in creeks than smallmouth. Not sure why that is.
