@@NorthCoastWorkshop no worries! Just found your channel, nice to see a fellow northern Scot on here. If you do try trimming again, you can get foam backed fabrics (5mm/6mm is close to oem), you’ll need to fully remove the old foam first but it should get you an even better finish than you got with this. The stuff you used is more for sofas
Yeah I wish I had shopped around longer and spent a bit more on quality fabric, like the stuff I mentioned. I'll prob look to redo it someday when I'm bored 😅 Ah, nice one, whereabouts in Scotland are you urself??
I see, yeah not far really, from where I stay out in the sticks here 😅 Let me know how it goes with the MK5 GTi. And yeah I think a lot find my channel through the TFSI platform rather than the MK2 Leon. Identical under the bonnet. Best of luck with the car mate 👍🏻
It makes me sad that your channel is so underrated. There is good information about the mk2 cupra/ea113 tfsi, good mix in information and nice carshots, good sense of humor. I dont know enything to improve. The only thing i can imagine is that there are not so much Leon Cupra mk2 drivers out there. But i enjoy your clips. Thanks for making them. Greetz from Holland!
Very kind words from you Tim 🙏🏼 I do try my best but I can always improve and I'm trying to keep in mind that I need to broaden my videos to incorporate 'car lover's' and not just 'Leon lover's'. But my subscribers are a great bunch of enthusiasts that I'm happy to have more join gradually and keep such a close community 😊
Yeah give it a go, works really well if you can find a similar colour theme/fabric to the interior. And yeah battery issues usually appear this time of the year, the cold weather slowly kills them off if they are already a few years old. Mine is showing signs of fading slightly too 🙈
I love what you are doing to your car and i like your Cupra Seats as well, Just a small advice for modification try changing the side air vents with an audi a3 (13-17) it will make the dash looks great
Ah I honestly never knew this. I wiped mine when I changed the injectors last Xmas, but I must admit I was fortunate and mine was pretty clean. But not surprised at all that they clog up too like the inlet valves
If you've done modifications before, there's no harm in giving it a go 👍🏻 Any spray contact adhesive, or hi-tac adhesive works well, but can be messy. There's a few tutorials on TH-cam about covering things in material.
I usually really like your vids but I can not understand how you could spend so much on that engine cover, yet cheap out so much on the mods you did on the door cards (you went with el wire of all things instead of a nice fiber kit,and now with that material that doesn't match neither the texture of the original leather nor the pattern) and these you see everyday... On the bright side the video edit quality has gone up tremendously
Hi Vincent. To be honest the engine cover was fairly cheap (54 quid all in) compared to other options available, and yes I do admit I cheaped out on on the door cards, but I didn't think it looked too bad for the money I actually spent. I try to keep mods on my channel at a reasonable price, so as it's more realistic for viewers to be able to afford and try themselves. I wasn't aware of the fibre kits I'm afraid, and the seats were a hard thing to match, though annoyingly I did see a better suited leather later on, while editing/gathering screenshots for the video. I appreciate the feedback though, as it helps me improve for future videos hopefully. Cheers Vincent 👍🏻
@@NorthCoastWorkshop maybe my comment cam in a bit rough and I'm sorry if it did. I really like your vids, keep it up, you improved the quality a lot since you started!
No need to apologise at all, I just felt I had to explain my reasoning behind the way I had done certain things, but I understand what you were saying. Without feedback and advice from my viewers, I'd struggle to improve upon the actual content itself, so it's all good mate 😊👍🏻

They look good may try something similar myself. Still loving mine even though I have had an odd issue I think with the battery today.

Do a video on cleaning the throttle body
The bit under the intake manifold?
A strange request 😅
@North Coast Workshop yeahh its common to get built up carbon around the butterfly valve and can cause idle issues

Hello can you help me where did you order and what is that material please ?
I bought mine from eBay, if you search "Diamond Stitched quilted leather" it should give you a few options to choose from 👍🏻
@@NorthCoastWorkshop Thank you. I need honey comb options but same material. Thank you from Slovakia 🙏
No problem at all, best of luck with the install 👍🏻
@@NorthCoastWorkshop thank you,do you think I can do it on my own ? And what glue you suggest ? 🤔

No smurf? 😢 Can you do an engine deep clean video (mainly how to clean oil spills out) asking for a friend. 👀👀👀
😬 I heard u had a wee accident.
That can be arranged! 👍🏻😎
Get yourself some Bilt Hamber Surfex HD and dilute 1:10. Cover the Alternator and use a few brushes and a low pressure rinse 🙂
One of my favourite cleaning products 💪🏼 so versatile as well, great pointers, appreciated Rob 👍🏻
