Sometimes a ‘like’ doesn’t come close to giving the credit that’s deserved. This is flawless! Outstanding in every way 👏
Another great cover, The Brothers would be proud. Can’t wait until September
Well said!
Real music is a thing of the past it seems like. Could anything like this come out today? I doubt it. Thanks to all of you for the memories.
You're so right. If I didn't know it was LLB and I was just listening to the music LLB was the Allman Brothers. I honestly wouldn't have noticed the differences. Well, actually I would have. One of the piano/organ solos in the ABB version sounded like a finger slide or hit a wrong note. It was always part of the song, and I was waiting for the LLB to play it
Mm m@@georgemichael7178
Das war um 1970 herum die Erkennungsmusik von unserer oft besuchten Disco. Immer wieder schön.🎸🎸🎸
Duane, Greg, Betts are you listening? you are still here. Music never dies....
And that folks, is why Lexington Lab Band is the best. No debate.
-edit- commented wrong reply :-)
RIP Dickey Betts. Excellent rendition of this song Dickey wrote for his daughter Jessica.
Every time this bass player is on, I just love watching him. He is so stoic about the whole thing. Doesn't miss a thing and is great. But will not smile. Not once😊
Randy is a awesome player and a awesome dude!
As a fellow bassist, I'm well aware of the stereotype: Q: "How many bassists does it take to screw in a light bulb?" A: "None... you don't need light on that side of the stage." 🤣
I was thinking the same thing. Randy is always rock solid.
Love Randy's tone-what amp is he groovn' on? Just sounds right.
3:30 is about as good a bass player smile as you'll get. That little head turn with the groove is all a bass player needs ;-)
One more flawless example of what these excellent musicians are capable of doing. Great job. We named our daughter after this song.
I have a daughter named Jessica.
When I hear this song, I think of her beautiful face.
You guys did the Allman Brothers right !
Please…. Take the time and close your eyes and just listen!! You will transported back to 1973 and a great time for music. Perfect job LLB!!!
Sounds just like the brothers! Beautiful!
I saw the Allman Brothers do this tune at Eastown Theater in Detroit. With all the original members!
OMG!! Amazing tribute!! ... RIP Dickey Betts. You are remembered right here.
Yep beautiful ❤❤❤
The duel guitar work between Lefty and Jason Bateman is superb. The whole band in this tune is spot on!
Hey babies that was the Allman Brothers on 99.3 WFRE rocking Kentucky with classic rock. Great job. Can't tell the difference. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
D93 Bowling Green ain't no joke neither! And I live in Tampa😅
Tonight, on TOP GEAR
I wear some goggles, Richard falls down a small slope, and James says "hello" to a man
What an absolute joy it is to hear a southern rock classic resurrected so lovingly and brilliantly by a younger generation of artists. Thanks from the bottom of my heart, gentlemen!
What an incredible tribute to Dickey Betts and the Allman Brothers! The only difference between this version and the original is the people playing. Everything else is IDENTICAL!! Unbelievably fantastic! Thank you guys for this one!
I can tell you that my neighbours are going to enjoy hearing this one, whether they want to or not. Superb!
The best rock instrumental song ever then and now!
I am ever in awe of the caliber of musicians associated with LLB. It makes for a pure listening experience.
Wow, that is incredible musical talent right there!! Everyone is right on time, perfection!!! Thank you for doing this fantastic song!!!
That was perfect!
Pure music heaven...... The Allman Brothers would be proud !!!!!!!!!
Definitely
Great foot stomping music. Love your remake of this great alllman brothers song 🎶
L.L.B. keep doing what you do!!! Rock America and whoever else is listening!!! 😁🎸🎶
My dad used to play this one for me….as far back as I can remember. He’s been gone 8+ years now, but I still smile every time this one comes on. Such an incredible tune in the soundtrack of our lives. Well done LLB! 🥰 🙏🏻
Took me right back, thanks for that.... and Thank You Allman Brothers and Dickey Betts.
Flawless performance. The complexity of the song, the note-for-note rendition, and the cohesiveness of all the band members to bring it all together is amazing. Takes me all the way back to the 70’s when I first heard this song.
An excellent tribute to Dickey Betts. If he heard this fantastic cover, he was dancing in heaven. Thank you guys for this awesome piece of music.
Tonight on TOP GEAR. LOL😄😄😄😄
100% PERFECT! Love it! What a tribute to Dickie Betts! So glad this music lives on!
It’s a quiet cloudy day in East Tennessee and the Lexington Lab Band just burst thru the clouds and my feet are tapping and as usual I feel blessed to hear their music. Thanks to all!
This group is my library of music now......amazing.
All I can say for you guys is, “The Allman Brothers would be proud of your hard work.” Well done Lex!
When a seven and half minute song seems too short ; you've got to be doing something right.
*lexington Lab Band* Bravo well done, thank-you for taking the time top bring us along. GOD Bless.
You guys can’t be that damn good
You never pick an easy piece of music to redo.
Thank you. PRIDE
Maybe a little too good ....
This is simply another outstanding performance! Don’t you guys get tired of being soo good?! This is not an easy “cover “ and you performed it to perfection! Sounded like the original, doesn’t get better than THAT! When you play as well as the best, you’re awfully dang good! Well done, well done, BRAVO!
One of my favorite Allman Bro's tunes.Ya'll did it right..
RIP Dickey.
I cannot tell you how much I love Jessica. My favorite instrumental of all time!!!
Bloody great job!
Thank you!!!
Lexington area drummer here. I didn't know who Tucker Wilson was before watching this great performance. I sure do now. That dude is fantastic here.
Would love to connect. Send us a note through our website
@@LexingtonLabBand Done!
Best 7 and 1/2 minutes I've spent in a long time. Outstanding!
Man what a tremendous performance! The guitar work is note for note awesome!🤩
The timing is beautiful with the recent passing of Dickie Betts. Well done LLB.
Dayum! This is brilliant on so many levels. Great job Gentlemen.
Phenomenal! I never would have known it wasn't the Allman Brothers.
Standing ovation for this cover is well deserved….congratulations LLB.
You all are unreal perfection again. Truly amazing.
Mike, You are my FAVORITE music group. You guys are such of talented musicians! We are so grateful that you bring back this great songs! You guys make them sound better than the original ones. I have been recommending your music videos to all of my family and friends! Please keep on doing that great job! I love you guys! ✌️
Superb job guys. RIP Dickey.
❤3LB
That just touched my heart. I started playing guitar listening to the Allman Brothers and named my daughter Jessica. With the passing of Dickey Betts 😥 and playing what I believe is the best song he ever wrote, ..... well done you guys.... well done
Thanks Lexington for giving me Guitar Hero vibes! 😊
One of the best ROAD SONGS and you guys NAILED it.....Awesome!!!!!
Beautifully executed! What more can be said? I loved it.
That is just UNBELIEVEABLE ! I am BLOWN AWAY ! Absoulty PERFECT on every level fella's
Holy smokes nailed the guitar solo!
This is just so good to hear again. Guitar is so clear. Drum and bass are spot on. Thank you.
Thanks again LLB for sharing your talents. Wonderful performance of this song
For us in the uk it used to be top gear a car show opening music well done guys brilliant as ever thanks for sharing 🤔👏😎🇬🇧
For a moment I thought I had been Raptured and this is where I landed! Thanks for an Allstar performance of yet another favorite of mine.
Dickie Betts would be proud. Absolutely flawless tribute.
When I was working, I used to start my day listening to this song now that I’m retired that brings back a lot of memories. Thank you for playing that.❤❤ awesome
Why can’t musicians today create music like this anymore?
That's ironic - because you just listened to musicians that created music like this *nowadays* . They didn't compose it though - but I'm sure there are still many excellent songwriters out there too.
At the gym I go to, at least half of the music has samples from decades ago, and my 30-something trainer is always surprised when I say something like, "Oh, those horns are sampled from Chicago 'Street Player'".
All the good riffs have been taken
Same reason they can't read cursive writing
Saw the Allman Brothers back in 1973 backed up by the Charlie Daniels Band. What a great live concert. Lasted for over three hours and we certainly got our money's worth. Great take on this classic, LLB!
The Allman Brothers were one of my favorites when I was growing up. You guys nailed it. You're band is so tight and you never miss a beat....
One word...chills. One of my personal favorite songs of all time and y'all nailed it. Thanks and keep it going!!
That's what I'm talkin about! That was a 'smokin' tribute to Dickey Betts and the rest of the Allman Brothers Band ! Spot-on
One thing about a monster instrumental is that everybody gets a chance to show off a little. This demonstrates there is not a weak link among you. FANTASTIC STUFF!!!
Got that right🔥🔥🔥🔥
Such talent! Thank you!!
These guys never cease to amaze me... Absolutely spot on. Wow! ❤👏👏👏👏👌👍👍👍👍🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Dicky Betts knew what he was doing! LLB that was AMAZING! Dicky is smiling down on that one!!! PEACE FROM SHELBYVILLE TENNESSEE!
I grew up in Macon, GA. right across the road from the house Gregg moved into after Berry died. I remember hearing them rehearse this song. I have never heard a better cover. Outstanding. Well done.
Fine as hens teeth! The guitars are spot on, the harmonies are precise, the transition from the piano solo to the guitar solo is spot on, REALLY well done!!
Nailed every part. Eyes closed, THAT’S Dickie Betts!
This is the best cover I have ever heard of this songs!! FANTASTIC!!
If you heard them playing this on the radio you wouldn't know it wasn't the original. Spot on, as usual. Thank you all.
Great version of Jessica!
Ever since I saw Field of Dreams in the theatre, I start every road trip by playing Jessica. Excellent performance gentlemen, one of my favorite songs, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dickey smiles.
Jessica has always been my happy time song!!! GR8 job guys!!!!
Growing up in Georgia, your cover gave me chills, you did the Brothers justice! Beautiful!❤️🤘
Wow what a great rendition. Used to listen to this tune decades ago on CD. 👍👍👍
My absolute favortie ABB song! Perfect execution. This song will forever be linked in my mind to a Publix's commercial that ran in Miami in the mid-1990s. So carefree and expansive.
One of my favorite road trip songs best represented in "Field of Dreams" as Costner's VW bus rolls across the country. Thanks again guys for nailing another American classic.
I'm six hours east of you, so this turns into a fabulous way to start my day. In fact, this is about the second-best way I can think of to start my day. 'Note for note' does not capture the excellence on display, here, because there's plenty of 'feel', too. With others, I will remember Betts. Play on, fellas!
"That was swingin'" -Uncle Bob, That Thing You Do
Randy really held down the low end with one of the busiest bass lines one can imagine.
Man!!!! Superb! 😮
Perhaps my favorite Allman Brothers song and you guys knocked it out of the park! Outstanding! Bravo!
The guitarists channeled the spirits of Dickey Betts and Dangerous Dan Toler with the twin leads. These guys have this instrumental down tight. Great job!
WOW! Just wow! This made me happy cry a bit. Excellent job by everyone and perfect time to release this. Mr. Betts would be honored.
That slick ace playing the Betts lead…Just amazing he can play this with his guitar pointed the wrong way.
SCENE: Heaven. Dickie Betts, Duane and Gregg Allman are catching up when Dickie perks up... the clouds part, and the three look down on this performance. Dickie breaks out in a slow smile and looks over at Duane and Gregg, who are just smiling ear to ear. Dickie says, "Hell, they ain't half bad for Kentucky boys."
What an incredible tribute to one of the greatest American bands.
From the first note to the last.. LLB has proven once again that they are the embodiment of a true musical time machine! You are instantly transported back in time, and somehow they not only bring your favorite bands/songs back to life, but somehow do it better than the original. And in this particular case, they definitely brought Gregg, Duane and Dickey front and center for another spectacular performance!
I closed my eyes and was taken back to the Allman Brothers playing this. Flawless
Amazing!!! Spot on, if I closed my eyes I would have sworn it was the Allman Brothers
I can hear every single instrument clearly, that hammond sounds great!
Jessica & Rambin' Man are favorite Allman Brothers tracks. Thanks for this great cover.
The energy with the way they covered the song just like The Allman Brothers back in the day is awesome 👌
I’ve always known that the BBC’s Top Gear theme song was Jessica by The Allman Brothers but being an Aussie growing up in the 80s have never listened to the song beyond hearing it as the intro to one of my favourite TV shows. This was epic.
You had me smiling and dancing with this one... Best cover of one of most jamming bands around! The guitar harmonies and solos (along with the piano solo) were spot on!
Flawless Randy, keep up the great work
Astounding...every note, every trill, every octave on the keyboard! I'm a huge Allman Brothers fan and sometimes cover critical, but you guys ALL nailed it hard!!! Thanx for sharing.
I played this video the first time with my eyes closed and I would have sworn it was the original. You guys are just fantastic players and the recording is brilliant. Well done.
Now there’s some finger picking, key pounding, drum smacking going on. So good and spot on! Nice job as always
