I'm just going to pile on and confirm that this is T1 for Best Stairway Cover right next to the Kennedy Center Honors, and that had Heart, Jason Bonham, and made Robert Plant get verklempt.
Nailed it. I think it's safe to say that any guitar player who aspires to be in a band would want that group to sound like this. Great job and thank you for sharing this.
I’ve said that too over and over and over again. This band gives the younger generation who are interested in our era of music a chance to see and hear what our music sounded like when we saw the original artists performing their material. The LLB is the only band that’s covers it ALL with perfection in every single aspect, note and beat. Instead of looking up the original artists to cover a song or just listen, I lookup these guys instead. What more can I tell you ?
I must confess! I’m addicted to LLB ! There , I have said it! One cover leads to another and another. Your tight musical performances and execution of vocals that I have never heard from any other cover band just blows my 67 year old mind.
I was thinking exactly the same. In fact, right after this, I went to the Heart version. The choir at the end of the Heart version was the difference maker.
We're comparing apples to oranges, here. It all depends on your particular definition of a cover. If want the cover artists to add their own personalities to the song with some changes in the arrangement, that's one thing. If you want the cover to be as close to the studio version as possible, that's another. I speak for many who feel the LLB's philosophy of covers is the latter. Why? I can only speak for myself: I'm very disappointed when I see most artists unable to reproduce their own studio versions. That's why I come here: to see how live versions should be done
I realise this is over 3 years old. but i have just discovered this absolute masterpiece. Wow words cannot explain just how good this is. First time i have ever heard a female singing Led Zep, and boy you killed it. This is simply superb
Just listened to this for the umpteenth time and it just struck me how good Jessica really is. The inflections are right on as well as the pitch. No autotune here just pure talent
From now on… Anytime someone wants to cover Stairway to Heaven, THIS IS HOW YOU COVER IT!!! Excellent finger-picked acoustic, Vandee; loved the flutes; Randy’s bass was perfection, and Ryan was making Bonzo smile down on him, but Roger REALLY upped his game with that blistering solo with Jim backing him on the 12/6! But Jessica… oh Jessica, Ann Wilson has never sounded better when she sings this! (Not to leave Austin out, but JPJ never got the credit he deserved on keyboards, either). Whew! Did I miss anyone?
Agree, Jessica’s voice need a little more in the mix volume. I thoroughly enjoy watching Jessica totally immersed in the music to her very soul. I think I actually enjoy llb version more than the lz original. Certainly better acoustic quality.
My favorite thing about excellent covers is hearing the performers passion for the original. It adds a new dimension without disrespecting the original artist.

Sitting here shaking my head in amazement of how amazing that performance was. I'm 64 and have never heard that song sound so powerful and strong. Bravo 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
A song many of us have heard thousands of times. A song that cannot really be reinterpreted because it is so iconic (although it's been done). Every time I see you post a new video I realize it must be such a challenge, because you have done such stellar work in the past. Jessica steals the show again, with a vocal on the level of Ann Wilson. But the rest is perfection as well. You stayed very faithful to the studio version and covered the sound of those endless overlays by Page with ease. Great opening, the flutes sounded great. Another remarkable achievement. Everyone associated with this group over the years should be very proud. Never a weak link.
@@scorch33 That's your opinion pal. Everybody has got one.
