I don’t know why cover bands aren’t more respected. They do the same thing as big professional orchestras playing Beethoven, Bach, etc. and you will not hear a better version anywhere else than LLB. My fricking hero’s!
It's a media problem, I guess. The classical cover-orchestras gets old proper status "by default" and merit, while every new band in new genres has to "climb the ladder". Meanwhile, the new cover-bands get out-shadowed by bands with newly made tunes, which satisfies media's demand for news and sensation. Playing covers is not new, after all.

I’m not sure why watching a left handed guitarist always seems like an alternative reality. And once again Vandy, I’d like to put my vote in for a video with more of Jessica dancing! Of course her singing is absolutely incredible, but if anyone has missed the little snippets of her dancing to a song she seems to particularly like, they’ve really missed out. Her dancing just exudes a genuine happiness in her that makes you cheerful just to watch.

Might be one of the best covers I've ever heard of Reelin' in the Years. Damn. That swinging rhythm absolutely makes this song, and the bassist and drummer absolutely CRUSHED it. Vocals and guitar were absolutely on point too!
Here's the deal. 75 years old, garage band in HS, experienced the best rock EVER. And thought it was gone years ago. NOW, groups like LLB, HCSS and L&F are breathing life back into my spirit. Man, the music is actually better than it was originally, thanks to tech. I've been set free to ROCK ON.
Love the dude playing the red guitar. He makes me think of a guy who's been practicing forever at home and then someone said come play with us and he just slays it while having a ton of fun doing it. Even the bass guy at one point looked over and smiled. :)
This is yet another great song played so well. I would love to hear the Lexington Lab Band play “Rikki Don’t Lose that Number” in the future. Steely Dan was so underrated and I think you guys would do it justice, as you do with all of your renditions. Thanks for posting these. It inspires me even though I’m 61 years old, to plug into my PA with my acoustic and play for hours and sing. Music, especially music from the 60s, 70s and 80s will always be the best overall. So much diversity from a time we should never forget.
Steely Dan were one of my all time favourite bands as a teenager and still are, their music has been acclaimed as technically difficult, you nailed it especially your guest guitarist in the cap albeit l have not seen him in any other appearances

There is never a weak link with LLB. You bring in new players and they fall right into the groove. This Is as good as the previous Steely Dan set, and that is a high compliment. Kudos to all!
Love this song. Once again you have produced a beautiful rendition. It sounds fresher than the original. The harmonizing guitars were always my favourite thing about the original and they sound great here. I love it. I'll listen again later today. Thank you all of you and particularly you 'Vandy.
