This is much easier to understand than the website which is so confusing. The website seems to suggest only 2 items but you need 3 items.

    Hi guys,
Managed to get my pioneer head unit to work with my Harman kardon system on the WRX 2015 but my steering controls are not working correctly.
It only triggers the next button as volume up and if I choose non adapter. I can only program 2 buttons.
Is the module damaged? Or did I choose the wrong steering control harness?
The one I have is the CHSU7C.
    Need your help please

What would I need to instead a kenwood DPX M3300BT in a 2005 Toyota Camry Altise Limited if I want to keep the steering wheel controls? And will I need to do direct wiring?

If you buy them separately as you have shown on the website, you do not get the steering wheel control module with it so it becomes useless

    avh-a24bt pioneer.
I’ve got a 2008 rav4 that had a Sony installed with steering wheel control box that worked fine. I’ve just installed a pioneer avh-a24bt and I can’t seem to get the steering wheel tab on the pioneer to be selectable, it’s greyed out. How can I get this to work. I’ve followed your steps and still can’t seem to get it to work.

Hey team, I got the FP9212K to connect a clarion FX450 to our outlander. According to the selector I should have everything I need in that box, but the SWC won’t work and don’t quite match the video, as there are two connectors for the final step and the swc adapter is already connected to the iso side for the unit. How do I need to adjust connect order to accomodate?

And only connect the 3.5mm to the jack right? I don’t also need to use the key 1, key 2 and ground wires? Because I tried that too

    • @aerpro
      @aerpro  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Hi, you are correct, it is only the 3.5mm jack which needs to be connected to the Clarion FX450. The key 1, key 2, and ground can be insulated and left unused. There will be 3x looped wires on the patch lead (orange, green, and purple) and of those, the purple loop will need to be cut. Once cut the module will need to be reset by unplugging it from power for 1 minute and then reconnecting. Once this has been done, check to see if your steering controls are working.

@aerpro. Hi, I bought a full aerpro plug and play package and Alpine ILX650e system through Automotive Superstore and have also previously installed the exact same system in another car. I am installing on a Mitsubishi Lancer CJ 2010. I have undone and retried a number of times following this video. The only thing I cannot seem to get out is the power plug from the back of the headunit. However I gather because it is disconnected from the car and any power that it is the same as unplugging as per the video and waiting before reattaching the plugs in the correct order. Nothing is working on the steering wheel. Can you please help? I have spent ages on it. thanks heaps

You are correct to remove all plugs and modules in between dipswitch changes, 30 seconds wait time is ample. It is important not to have the parts plugged in as the internal chip will not recognise the changes if it's plugged in. Also, stick to the dipswitch settings in the manual only.
      aerpro.com/sites/default/files/manuals/chniuni_instructions_1.pdf
If you are getting results from the buttons, but they incorrect, you can try swapping the blue and green bullet terminals on the main harness. This swaps the two Key wires for the controls, Nissan did alternate these wires depending on the system.
If you are not receiving any results at all from the button presses, this could also indicate the presence of an auxiliary bluetooth module. In these models, they are commonly located in the rear quarter behind the plastic trim. You will be able to access this from the rear of the vehicle.
In the packet for the CHNIUNI you should have the bluetooth bypass plug. Not using this will inhibit the steering wheel controls, as when the factory radio is removed, the bluetooth module will de-power and not allow the control wires to flow back to the radio, this bypass plug allows this connection to remain complete.
During all this, as all aftermarket radios can differ, ensure you are utilising the radios internal options for enabling steering wheel controls. You may find yourself in a situation where the harness is setup correctly, but the radio is not listening to them.

      Hi Trevor,
One end of the patch lead will connect to the steering wheel control module while the other end will depend on the make and model of the stereo you are installing.
