    The Mustang Mach-E has stirred up some heated debates since it was first unveiled. This 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E First Edition comes fully loaded for this trim with a limited production run to commemorate the first of its kind. The Mustang Mach-E comes as the extended range model and AWD, with an 88 kWh battery good for over 400km of range. Our full tour and review of this electric vehicle goes over the decision by Ford to name this a Mustang and why we think you should just enjoy the car and not get hung up on the naming. We discuss the exterior design of the Mach-E, the powertrain, battery info, and what makes the First Edition special.
    We discuss the interior including the ActiveX leatherette seating, 15.5" infotainment system, B&O audio system, wireless phone charging, rear power liftgate, and panoramic sunroof. We go over some of the design traits on the interior and how it compares to some of the Tesla vehicles we've driven recently. We also spend some time with the infotainment system and how it functions along with some thoughts on improvements.
    We then take the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E on a real-world road test to talk about how this electric crossover performs, handles, drives, and rides and the reasons you'd want to consider it. We drive around town to see how daily driving would be for buyers of this EV. We also go over some of the complaints we have about this vehicle and how it stacks up to some of the other fully electric vehicles we've driven, and some ideas on how Ford can improve this.

    in my opinion this car looks so much better than the model Y.When I plug this car on the LeVel 2 ,40 amperes I get 9.6kwh which is not bad if you have the 48a you get 10.5kwh which is comparable to other electric cars on the market. Do not charge more than 80% on the LeVel 3 at petro canada you can get 150kw and it Will take about 40min between 10 and 80%With my RBC card i get free Level 3 charger at petro Canada until end of april 2022.The build quality is just better than the model y.Really happy with the car.😁😁

      I agree that this is much better looking than the Model Y also, I think that'll end up being one of the main reasons why this is successful.

    💥💥💥💥💥 Very very nice car. Well built. Love the added touches, like the horseshow they put on the front grill. Everyone is saying that this will destroy Tesla and Tesla's market share

      I think Ford has some pretty compelling vehicles coming out, this one is already off to a great start!

    Look at the Edmunds your tube range review fROm June 15, 2021. Mach e surpasses EPA. TESLA--- every single model is below EPA.

      That's certainly possible, ultimately comes down to overall driving style and geography of where you're travelling. Once things get back to normal I'll be able continue my range testing on these.

    If Ford says it's a Mustang, it is a Mustang!!!

    Even if it wasn't intended to be a performance vehicle, it kinda is anyway. Sprint times are better than the vast majority of stock Mustangs throughout the brand's history.

    Good vehicle stupid name. Mustang should be a coupe. This is a cross over and could be named Anything but Mustang. I agree the color is gorgeous.

      My only thought about the name is they haven't future-proofed themselves. No matter what there will eventually be a time where gas vehicles are dead and a traditional 2-door Mustang coupé/convertible EV will exist yet they've used the Mach-E name for this.

    Did 2021 mach-e owners ever get the promised update for better range?

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good question, the software was supposed to allow for slightly more battery charge being usable, we haven't spoken with any owners to see if that's the case though.

      I spot a lot of them out here, it helps that the Mach-E can qualify for some of the EV rebates depending on which trim/configuration you go with.

    The key part of this review in my opinion is how long it takes to get this charged. That is where Tesla kills every body else. These work as second vehicles but I just can’t imagine having a regular job and needing charge time and have to wait a long time and miss work.

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was very disappointed with the charging time on this. While the car had the basic EV features like a preconditioning and charging scheduling, it didn't lock the charging port or cable and the time it took to get to 100% was awful.

      You charge over night no big deal. And on a road trip charge to 80 percent or less and go to next charger. See out of spec motors or Mach e vlog for more info

      In 20 years any familiar name plates will all be electrified anyway, Ford will eventually have to make the coupé/convertible Mustang into an EV.
