WE ARE SO BACK!!!!!!!! Ok but being real here, I’m honestly satisfied with everything done here. The boards and side modes are some of the best in the series and despite how many people feel about the minigames… I quite like them. Great video! 🔥
One of my main problems with this game is that the minigames feel so bland. There's no games similar to Fish Upon a Star or Wrasslin Rapids where the goal is to be the last one standing by knocking each other off, instead there's the most boring games in the form of Sandwiched and Hot-Hot Hop. I hate how there's only 5 duel minigames and most of them can be narrowed down to one strategy that literally always wins. Want to win Slappy-Go-Round? Literally just react to the opponent's ground pounds. You can't lose, you can only tie or win. The game also introduces us to one of the worst luck minigames in the series, Gate Key-pers, where you can literally lose the entire game before you can even play it. My 4 favorites of this game are probably Lumber Tumble, Scare-ousel, Light-Wave Battle and Camera-Ready.
Paratroopa Flight School is a mode you will play maybe once or twice never touching it again and is honestly a waste of development time that could have been put towards making additional boards/minigames
Jamboree is far from the best, and has hiccups that still needs to be refine for the future of MP, but I won’t lie, this have been a MP I wanna to see for decades, and while Superstars was a decent attempt of NintendoCube being inspired on what made MP good, Jamboree feels like they took what they made in SS, but mix with their new elements that they wanted to put for their own creation of MP different from Hudson Soft. The game has been a blast to play, and even if the recency bias were wore off overtime, I still believe this is what MP is, a fun, chaotic, yet engaging party experience you can have with friends and family, and that’s what I wanna see in a series titled Mario PARTY. The game has flaws like the pacing being inconsistent, the economy being ummm, interesting, and nitpicks like the selections of minigames kinda fall flat, but it’s a game that keeps me engaged from start to finish, and I’ll be down to play it for months or even years to come. Definitely the best MP in the Switch, and a top 5 favorite MP imo. Also, I’m so glad that you mention that Rocky Rope Race reminded you of Lights, Camera, Pants because I thought so too lol
Everyone points out “recency bias” when it comes to thinking this game is the best MP game, but how many of those old MP games are given so much love from y’all due to *nostalgia* bias?
not the best mario party in my opinion (bad pacing, wacky economy, poor minigame selection, don’t really like how it only offers 2 bonus stars) but definitely a solid 4-6th place since I kinda find this, 7 and superstars to be a similar quality. great boards (one top tier, 3 great, one good), great item play, super chaotic and still fun despite how slow it is, have had a ton of fun with it over the past few months and I think even after the recency bias wears off it’ll still see some playtime in the future
What would you rate this game and where would you rank this game overall? In my personal opinion, this is easily one of the best MP games of all time (maybe not THE best, but it most certainly is up there). Solid 8-9/10 experience.
@@HiJello64 Damn, then you must *really* love the Mario Party series then if this game is a 9/10 yet is still on the lower end of the top 10 of the series for you. 😂 I absolutely don’t blame you or mean any disrespect towards you of course, I love most of the MP series wholeheartedly as well.
Between this and the first Super Mario Party game, I prefer the first one because of the minigames and the content being introduced in a calm and understandable way and the minigame selection being more interesting to me. I felt overwhelmed and a bit tired playing through this game because of how much stuff that it was trying to stuff in during a board game and I think that most of that stuff could have been set as customisable options before starting a game.
@@Rediscool9 I don’t remember there being a lack of content. The only thing that was lacking was the amount of boards in that game which I think that there should have been at least eight, given their size and functions. Everything else was digestible, diverse and easy to waste some time on, which is what Mario Party Superstars had missed the mark on aside from its minigame modes.
Was looking forward to this. It did not disappoint

I’m only 3:37 seconds into the video and I’m already CRYING! Claiming a Jamboree Buddy on your taxes as a dependent is crazy!!! 😂😂😂😂
The Pro Controller has motion, so it's stupid you can't use it to play motion minigames
i want to buy a singular one just for this game, the minigames get repetitive sometimes (especially 1v3s)

@@Rediscool9 Mario Party was my go to game growing up. And to be fair, there’s just as many mediocre games once ND Cube took over
@@HiJello64 Yeah. Thankfully ND Cube finally started to make actually good MP games ever since Superstars.
Roll em raceway is easily my least favorite it’s just tooo plain and star only has 2 spots to move to
Nah, Mario’s Rainbow Castle is the worst board in Jamboree (and yet it’s still decent)

That’s fine, but you have to understand that they did this because everyone harshly criticized the first Super Mario Party for its lack of content.
