First step, buy truck and trailer. Then register your company with your state. Apply for DOT number and then apply for authority to work. Before applying for authority you have to have commercial insurance.
@@chrisgrundy2576 I’ve been doing it 3 years. It’s not really easy to find loads because the rates are low and when good loads get posted they get snatched up real quick. Lots of headaches trying to book good loads.

@@NBM-Transport Hello Neil! It’s hard to say what the minimum monthly rate for insurance would be. It’s different for everyone based on your age, driving and accident history, credit history. In the beginning average is $1500to $2200 per month.

That my friend is a tough question to answer. Florida is an awful state for loads. I’ll tell you that much. This business is unpredictable. First step, buy truck and trailer. Then register your company with your state. Apply for DOT number and then apply for authority to work. Before applying for authority you have to have commercial insurance.
@Mr.AlexKogan thank you is it easy to find work being a hotshot ,and if you don't mind if I ask ,how long have you been doing this hotshot driving
@@chrisgrundy2576 I’ve been doing it 3 years. It’s not really easy to find loads because the rates are low and when good loads get posted they get snatched up real quick. Lots of headaches trying to book good loads.
Hi,since you got your own setup,is there any chance you can help a beginner who owns the truck but not the trailer
Help in what way?
@@Mr.AlexKogan Hello. Let me properly introduce myself. My name is Neil operating under NBM transport. I just purchased Ram 3500 and a 40FT gooseneck trailer however due to insurance cost I may need to operate under another company’s authority. The goal is to be independent. I need help in finding the best insurance with affordable rates? Also base on your experience what is the minimum monthly rate for general freight Insurance?? Any feedback would be helpful.
@@NBM-Transport Hello Neil! It’s hard to say what the minimum monthly rate for insurance would be. It’s different for everyone based on your age, driving and accident history, credit history. It’s always going to be higher for the first two years as after two years you have more insurance companies with better rates that will work with you. In the beginning average is $1500to $2200 per month.
@@Mr.AlexKogan thank you so much
@@NBM-Transport You’re welcome!
Try Almond Butter, and put some crunchy honey and oats in it👍 Breakfast of champs for a middle aged man on TRT
Are u training any on the road? I did AL to ks/tx/me/ma/va back to Nola 10 days 12k gross… my diet is trash… intermittent fasting ?
Nice gross. Where is Nola? I workout on my resets or sometimes if I’m stuck without a load and there’s a gym near by. No fasting for me. I just eat strict. It’s hard to eat right but once you do it for two weeks it becomes a habit. I do meal prep so I always have healthy food with me. I use a fridge that uses 12 volt cigarette plug and I keep my food in it.
@@Mr.AlexKogan thx for the info. I picked up a hazmat container in Norfolk and took it down to the port of Nola
@@BrysonDawson-b7x oh ok. New Orleans. I didn’t catch that at first. I am thinking of getting a hazmat endorsement myself. Some good paying loads out there.
Who is your dispatcher
@@siingpu1772 I don’t give that info out.
Keep the hard work 🎉
Thank you!🙏
Good luck man ✊
Thank you!🙏
Do u use a factoring company?
Yes
Subscriber count is growing rapidly 👍
It’s growing but I don’t know about rapidly. 😁👍🏻
How long have you been in the Hotshot game? I’m taking the leap into myself
Been doing it 3 years. 1 year with my own company.
@@Mr.AlexKogandude that’s really awesome, I came across your page when I started doing my research on this industry & I really love the content you put & how well maintained you keep things
@@edwinduran6691 Thank you! Appreciate your support and happy you are enjoying the videos.
How do you get loads
I use a dispatch company to find loads for me.
Hello, can you please add a translation with Turkish subtitles?
Hello. Probably not. I have no way to do that.
Did this load require air ride?
No
Get you some of the adams 100% natural PB. Doesn’t have all the sugar and bs that’s the jiff does. 👌💪
I usually get the natural PB at Aldi or Walmart. Only ingredients are peanuts but I just don’t like how runny it is vs jiff. I know jiff and others have additives like palm oil and stuff. Is Adam’s runny or creamy like Jiff?
What size tarps do you use?
I have a 27 ft and a 18 ft. Both with a 6 ft drop. I also have a 27ft with a 8ft drop that I hope to never use. lol. It’s like 130lb.
That $7K don't amount to much after running expenses
Most expenses aren’t weekly
@@devs6.7 you don't buy fuel? You don't have break downs? Repairs? Do you not eat or shower? Or ever have to buy parts? Y'all hot shot drivers are a joke.
I’m curious, are you even in this field of work? Who breaks down every week? Showers are free after fueling up. No one buys parts every week or even every month. If you’re running an old truck and you don’t maintain it than yes you’ll be breaking down but if you keep up with maintenance you’ll be good. I have a feeling you don’t know much about this work because you say after expenses that $7k doesn’t add up to much. You are 100% incorrect my friend.
Great video! I got a Christmas for you. I know you put your video going fast to save time but man it look like those big ricks were going faster than you. How fast were you going? Downhill a lot of these trucks that go like 70 80 mph and that's kind of stupid but great video
Thank you! In California the speed limit for truck and trailer combination or any vehicle towing is 55 mph so I was going no faster than 65 I believe. Yeah I agree a lot of the semi drivers love to fly downhill and fry their brakes too. Makes no sense. 🤷♂️
7000k? Daaaang son you made 7mill in one week? I gotta change careers
I wish I made 7 mill.
when you say you see if the dispatch has another load who is your dispatch as you are a hotshot driver
I keep my dispatcher info private but lots of truck drivers use dispatch companies to find loads for them. It would be really hard to do this yourself while driving or loading.
Do you think that just by driving in the state of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, possibly South Carolina could generate that amount of money? The reason is that I have a brand new baby Lol
That my friend is a tough question to answer. Florida is an awful state for loads. I’ll tell you that much. This business is unpredictable. You never know when you’ll find a good load and where it’ll be and where it’ll take you. It’s like gambling. If you want to stay local I think it’s best to make friends with companies that constantly ship freight that can use you all the time.
I’m out of Florida , I try to stay local but man it’s so bad I’m in Nebraska right now just shut down , should be making my delivery in Utah tomorrow, keep up the good work boss and just stay consistent
@@HotshotFiggss Thank you! Florida is awful for freight. They don’t pay anything. Hope you are able to get out of Utah fairly quick because for me it’s always hard.
ALEX YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!! YOU DISPATCH YOUR SELF?
Thank you! 🙂 I have a dispatcher but I also have a load board that I keep an eye on. Truckstop is the name of it.
good Bless you Bro! Hope to train at gym with you some day💪🏾

who do you dispatch from?
That my friend is a top secret 😁
That was a close call with that fork lift. Good that your video shows damage while loading... your videos might save your arse down the road!
My 6th sense makes me think your from eastern european descent. Are you from a former soviet block country?
What gave it away?
@@Mr.AlexKoganoh you know, a touch of an accent and one of those former soviet faces 👍🏾
Good video........we encourage you to read the bible a little, every day and to think about what we read and put it into practice.
Cottage cheese gross
It’s not for everyone’s taste buds 😁👍🏻
I was here to see you eat donuts but nothing. Keep it up.
Thank you! Unfortunately no donuts that time 😁 Trying to mix it up and not put donuts content in all the videos but they will be in future videos. Appreciate you watching and supporting 👍🏻
do you have a bed in the back?
Yes. Look at my other videos on my channel. My truck setup video shows it.
💯💯💯 +
I wouldn’t really call it trucking but ok
lol no chance you hitting 7k in a pick up truck
Here we ago again. You must not be in the trucking industry because you know absolutely nothing about what you can and can’t make. Why would you even post that comment?
I have 45 semis and 7k a week is a DAMn good week in this recession you are not doing that in a pick up lol@@Mr.AlexKogan
@@donttruckhere lol. You are doing something wrong then. Ive posted a video previously showing my rate confirmations for a week I grossed $8900. I’m not going to show my rate cons all the time. It’s sad that the guys that aren’t successful in this business have to hate on the ones that are actually doing good and tell me oatmeal isn’t healthy. Come on bro grow up.
I think making 4 million net a year is pretty succesful if you ask me. Our Cost our LOW and we have great paying local and regional customers. like I said 7k a week is possible but definently not in a pick up@@Mr.AlexKogan

Really who cares about your diet
My friend, if you don’t care, keep it to yourself. Go stuff yourself with a fattening meal and keep growing your fat stomach. There are a lot of people who do care.
Hey Alex, I’ve been a hotshot driver for almost a year and Im open to use the best methods of strapping tarping etc., its the first time I see the way you use your straps, why is it that you dont just keep them rolled up in the sliding winch?

I don’t keep them in the sliding winch because I don’t like to throw the hook side over the load. I like to throw the strap side over the load. Also in winter time if you have freezing rain, everything will freeze and you will not be able to use the straps.

I don’t keep them rolled up for a couple of reasons. Reason one is when I throw my strap over the load, I don’t like throwing the hook side, I prefer to throw the strap side. Reason two is in winter time if you have freezing rain, you will not be able to use that strap if it’s on your winch. It freezes solid. Had that happen before.
