Amphetamines have been a constant scourge on the trucking industry, since it began.
Fun fact.. Adderall comes up as methamphetamine on drug tests. There's no way to distinguish between the two. So if he's telling the truth about taking Adderall he would definitely piss hot for methamphetamine.

Has the truck driver take off his sunglasses to check his pupil size while the sun is directly on him, then compares his pupils to the pupils of his partner, who's got a hat on and is facing away from the sun. Agreeing to do road side sobriety tests can be very risky but the alternative is usually arrest. Which way do you go? What does a good lawyer recommend? The Police do training but just how expert are they really? Some police officers I’m sure are brilliant and others probably not so much. I’m definitely against drugs and booze while operating a motor vehicle but the reasons for stopping are very vague in the law.
The curls sobriety tests are almost pure bullshit, not because they don’t assist in alerting police to an impaired driver, but because there’s many other reasons a person might not perform most of those tests too well.
