I wish my repairs were inexpensive. I’m at home waiting for a new axle assembly to be built and shipped. Pinion gear went bad so I’m taking advantage and changing from a 4:10 gear ratio to a 4:56. That is going to help pulling these heavy loads through the mountains and also on the take off. I also will have to replace the transmission soon as I’m getting some slip in reverse and 1st gears.

I change my CCV filter every 3rd oil change on my ‘19 3500. Far less expensive than having to replace a leaking front/rear crankshaft seal due to excessive crankcase pressure.

U should by pass the ccv Alex it's just soot that it throws back into the crankcase and into the engine!! It's a stupid rule the epa made!! If u by pass it u don't get it going into the engine. They make kits and your motor will last a hell of a lot longer bypassing it!!

those CCV's are made to catch any oil/pressure to reduce any crank case pressure. good maintenance item to replace, but honestly, deleting it and running a catch can is the better way to go. if you ever wanted to. I know you're more of an oem type of guy which is always perfectly fine.

How do you know the total hauling capacity for hotshot. For trucks it’s pretty straight forward. I am planning on getting a Ram3500 dually. With a 40 ft trailer. I am a CDL A license holder. Please if anyone can explain with numbers.

Really enjoyed the video Alex. Securement is always what I'm looking at to learn more ways to secure. CCV filters on our 4th and 5th gens get changed every 20k-30k. I changed them one time at 60k and same thing they were covered in oil. 5 min job so why not change more often is how I see it. Same thing on OEM air filter on the 5th gen. Ran Fram one time and it threw a code. Went back to OEM, gone and never been an issue since. Awesome video of the drive shaft replacement too👍💪

That filter is your crank case vent filter. It filters the oil vapor coming from the crankcase before it gets pushed back through the intake. Those filters are oily within 1000 miles it don’t hurt anything. You could even delete it and vent the crankcase to the atmosphere (which is something you do on deleted trucks)

You content it’s awesome you make it look like it’s super easy but I always get a hard time with the fuel filters But in the end I got it, only this time my truck doesn't want to start and I'm really frustrated, if I tighten the filters too much like you did in the video it never wants to start, I always have to loosen them and play with the pressure when tightening them, but this time I've tried too many times and I can't do it, has something similar ever happened to you?

Hi Alex, I’m Steve from Florida. I just recently discovered your channel and I’m instantly hooked. I’ve done flatbed work hauling telecom reels with fiber and copper wire. Everything was secured with chains and binders, never straps. But I have to say, as an OCD sufferer, those twists in the straps really bother me. How much difference does it make as opposed to not twisting them?? Thanks
