I'm so glad things are getting better Alex, I know that feeling all to well. My last gig was always leaving me loitering in truckstop parking lots, you know that story. Now, if the weather would only improve. I think I had the only job on the planet that had sunshine everyday. No matter what the weather was like on the ground, the sun was always shining at FL390. Talk to you soon, stay safe!
Hello Alex!! You're looking good securements are set staight. Your set up is on point. Look like a true professional out here. Keep up the good work my friend! You were right by my home in Ohio. See you on the next one!! Ken! Oh!!👍🏾
I've been really interested in hotshot since I met a guy running a hotshot gig out of a local mine and your videos have been my favorite to watch to get an idea of what it's all about. I think I've watched all your videos in the last couple days haha. Thanks for your top-notch content! Do you think there's a niche for something like this with a refrigerated van (Transit or Sprinter van) or towing a small reefer trailer? I currently drive locally for a farm, non-CDL, mostly running meat and produce but it's an employed gig where they rent the van 4 days a week. I'd like to buy a van to take over the logistics myself and start reaching out to other farms, but if there's a hotshot avenue for it I'd love to consider that as well! My more-expensive thought was to pick up one of the 3.0 duramax GM's for the fuel efficiency and use that to tow a small reefer trailer. Would love your 2 cents
Thank you! Really appreciate your support and am happy you enjoy the content. I have not heard of any hotshot reefers so I really can’t comment on that.
Great video. we are just getting into hotshot and was wondering what dispatch services are best for non cdl currently using load boards. Any advice is appreciated
I don’t have a recommendation on dispatch service for non CDL. Majority probably want to work with CDL since there are more opportunities for loads. I may be wrong but that’s my thought.
Thank you! One of my fuel cards is an EFS card through Open Roads program offered by TSD logistics. It gives discounts at Loves, TA, Petro and many more smaller truck stops. Google Open Roads fuel card.
I’m thiss close to buying the ram 3500 But I’m also very scared to do so and start my own thing after working trucking for a long 😔😔 I’m mostly scared about having loads all the time wished I can have little more guidance
I like your videos and content, its very well done. Thank you for making them and putting in the eoffrot. I have a question about when you are on your reset and you arent in your home area as to where you park and leave your trailer?
Thank you! When I’m on my resets I usually park at a Truckstop. Used to get motel or hotel for my resets until one time I caught bed bugs. Never again.
@@Mr.AlexKogan No problme, youre welcome, and interesting, I have a lock for my gooseneck too, nobody gives you a hard time leaving your trailer in a parking spot/ not worried about somebody messing with it? Sometimes these truckers can get a little testy.
@@taylerdrumgoole6835 There are truck stops that I wouldn’t feel safe leaving the trailer. Also there are truck stops where it’s unsafe to leave your trailer because they can call a tow trip to take it. You just have to feel the truck stop out when you’re there. See if anyone else has dropped their trailer. I keep a tracking device on my trailer. Hidden. In case someone decides to somehow remove the lock and take it.
Enjoyed the video Alex. Glad you're getting some good loads now. Couple of questions. Is it a loves credit card that got you the savings that you got? Do you bleed out the air in your trailer every time you get loaded or just keep the bags full? Thanks man have a safe week👍

I only have one tablet. Maybe you thought my truck radio screen was a tablet because it’s the size of one. I do usually run two navigations in case one cuts out for some reason.
All of my tarps are 6 ft drop. I carried a 27ft 8 ft drop tarp with me for a long time and never used it. Left it at my parents house. Brand new. Need to sell it.
@@edwardochoa-zy7pc No. one fuel card will give you let’s say $.40 discount at pilot in one state and in a different state or even same state but a different pilot truck stop, you’ll get a different discount. It all varies.
Don’t do it. Cant tow as much and you will not be able to fill up at the truck stop since truck stops are only diesel and there’s no way you’ll be filling up at a gas station with a trailer.

Yes. Two of the shippers let me back into the warehouse. Very nice of them.

Great video Alex. Where in Elizabeth City are you going? I was born there and still go there often. Be safe!

Use furniture blankets on all the sharp corners, you can buy them cheap at a Home depot or someplace like that.
