It’s because she made a mistake with the audio - she said to yarn over for all three parts of the stitch, but actually you just pull through the second part of it. You only yarn over before putting the hook through the next stitch and before pulling through the last two loops, not in the part where you should just pull through one of the loops. In that part of the audio she said to yarn over at all three stages…
      Hope it helps

This is a beautiful soft & cozy blanket. Thank you for the tutorial and the pattern. It is an easy pattern to follow and is much appreciated.
That said, I'm not as fast as the creator of this blanket but I'm fairly fast once I get in my zone. She obviously is able to crochet this blanket in 6 hours. That didn't happen for me.
I'm using 3 different colors #6 bulky yarn with a size 10 mm hook. It has taken me approximately 6-7 hours to get 1 foot of blanket crocheted. That means I have 4 more feet to go for a total of 60 inches and another 24 hours of crocheting. That's a total of 30 hours for the entire blanket. I'll need a border around my blanket as well because I tied the yarns together at the end of two rows/rounds per color and will need to hide the knots.
This is a more realistic time frame for a novice or intermediate- beginner crocheter. Still, it can be done in a weekend and that's awesome! Happy Holidays to you all. I hope if you make this blanket as a gift your recipient enjoys it for years to come.

I am now on my second one, the 68 chains still seems too short (I know it is an afghan but I like mine a little bit bigger) so I added 4 chains, I just finished up one skein and it seems like 4 wont be enough

Great video! Clear and concise directions! I just finished a blanket for Christmas that took three weeks working on it every time I sat down! I think I will make this for me. I’ve subscribed, thanks!

Hello, I've decided that crocheting is going to be a new hobby for me this year. I've been to other tutorials that helped me get started on my path. I don't think I'm at that point to start making this blanket, but your tutorial was so easy to follow and it's making me believe I can do this. Thank you for this and after a little more practice I'm going to do this blanket. Also, looking through your other videos and I didn't see and crochet handbags and I was wondering do you have any crochet handbag tutorials?

For those who are new there’s a much easier way to start your project do a 360 around your hook then yarn over make sure your working yarn not your tail end the longer one is on your side then chain one so yarn over then pull through tighten that and you have a knot then chain how ever many there’s plenty of video to show you how to do the
    SC/single crotch
    HDC/haft double crotch
    DC/double crotch
    And TC/triple crochet
    Have fun making stuff peeps
