      @@theguythatcooksstuff1223 hi! I believe you can’t substitute vital wheat gluten in making this bread. It’s an important ingredient in this recipe. You can buy vital wheat gluten from amazon.

      Google seitan as its another name for vital wheat gluten. Maybe you will have more luck finding suppliers as seitan is used by vegans to make bread or vegan meat and its available in vegan shops.

    Just made this bread, turned out great. I used my Kitchen Aid mixer to stir the dry ingredients and added the wet and let the mixer knead for 6 minutes. The dough rose like a charm and mine rose fast. Probably won't let it rise for the hour next time, it was ready for the oven at 30-40 minutes. Just had a slice with butter, soooo good, have some tomato soup in the fridge can't wait to make a toasted cheese sandwich with this bread. Thanks for doing all the work for me, that's what I love about the keto community, people who work on these recipes and perfect them for us and also the honest comments from people who tried them!

      I ordered the vital wheat gluten and made it but mine did not rise :/ what did I do wrong? Did I not knead it enough or the water was too hot? I used all the same ingredients...

    I’ve made this bread 3x now! The recipe turned out amazing each time. I followed the ingredients exactly, except I add an additional 40g of ground flaxseed to the dough and sprinkle everything bagel seasoning on top after proofing. I was able to enjoy toasted almond butter and (homemade)keto strawberry jam for the past 3 weeks all thanks to you, Ketoserts!!!

    Wow! Really looks like real bread! And I love that it only has 5 ingredients unlike other recipes that have tons of ingredients! And amazing no sugar to activate the yeast! Love love love it! 👏

    I’ve made this bread 3 times now and having been making my own sourdough bread the last 2 years I can honestly say this is the only thing I have made when it comes to keto bread stuff that is just like bread. It’s amazing. The only thing is that it’s coarser because naturally almond flour is what it is but, filled with walnuts, pumpkin seeds, flaxseeds etc you barely notice. The only thing I would adjust ( and do for myself ) is the salt amount, but that is a pure taste thing. Anyone asks me about keto bread I’m pointing them here.

    I made this with change of flour ( I used Carbalose flour and I added Golden flax seeds). It was wonderful. The first loaf that hasn’t gone in the trash

    I use this same recipe to make flat bread, but bake for only 20 minutes, turn out perfect, used the same for pizza, baked for 8 minutes, took out of oven, put on cheese and pizza toppings than baked for another 8 minutes - results? Best keto pizza I have eaten, taste and texture just like a normal pizza.
    This recipe is heaven send.

    Just made this and I can guarantee it's the REAL bread taste. Mind blowing really. I would though reduce the liquids a little. At least for the texture I like.

    It must smell like bread too with the yeast?? This makes me feel like I could try keto again & be successful because I love bread. Most recipes seem really eggy or really dark with flax. I'm sure buns would be amazing with this recipe as well!

    This is amazing! YOU are amazing! I made this today and my whole house smelled like baking bread! This is the closest thing to real bread as far as I’m concerned! How about the closest thing to real BAKERY bread?! It is perfection toasted, too! I’m thinking this might be the one to dry out/try out for Thanksgiving dressing!

    Perfection! made this today and my husband and I love love it! I was so intimidated at first cause I didn't see it rise, but it did rise and it came out delicious, feels and taste like bread, finally I can eat bread without worrying so much about the carbs, had it with cream cheese, hubby had it with butter, the crust is so perfect, thank you so much

    Another ketoserts winner! Have made it with a 50/50 mix of almond and peanut flour and upped the salt to 1 tsp to suit our taste and it's excellent toasted with peanut butter. Thank you for another great recipe.

      Hello Wendy! You may have to double the recipe to fit your 8x4 pan and to have a tall bread. You can add around 5-10 more mins to the baking time.❤️

    I am curious, my bread pans are all 9.25 x 5.25 x 2.75. Would a double batch be appropriate for those larger size pans?

      Hello! I’m afraid there’s no substitute for vital wheat gluten. You need this to achieve the “real” bread texture in this recipe.

      Gluten is what makes bread, bread. It's a pretty important ingredient. I suggest you try it with the gluten.

      In reference to the psyllium husk as a replacement, try it and tell us how it works out. It will not work the same as gluten.

    I really really appreciate and respect your work. The detailed information about the ingredients and its measurements. Not only in cups but also in grams. That too in several languages. Many people upload cooking videos like a business. Just for sake of getting views. With no description nor caption. But you put so much efforts in your video's. Not just that but I've observed you reply to most of your comments. Which is incredible. I've gone through most of your recipes. All your keto recipes are amazing. Today for the first time I baked your keto bread recipe. It turned out awesome. I have one query though. It tasted more like vital gluten. Can we reduce the quantity of vital gluten and increase almond flour? If yes, by how much? One more thing, do we need to preheat oven before baking or not? As the top of my bread was pretty dark ans hard compared to yours. Anyways thanx a tonn for all your efforts. ❤

    This is one of my go to recipe for keto bread since the day I made it. The texture is great and very similar to the real deal. I love how is only 5 ingredients. I use my stand mixer dough hook to knead the dough, it comes out perfect everytime.

      @@delina9558 Well for me I use the kitchen aid mixer I knead it total of 6-8 minutes. It really depends on how the dough look. I would suggest put ingredients in mixing bowl start on speed 6 for 3 minutes then turn it down to speed 2 for another 2 minutes. The last minute I speed it up to 4. After the 6 minutes knead, check the dough see if the dough is well combined and the dough is not wet anymore. If it is still a little wet knead on speed 4 for 2 more minutes. Then once the dough is done I toke it out and knead it by hand for a few minutes. The dough should be ready to put in bread pan and rise at this time. I hope this can help you out.

    just made this in my stand mixer.
    Important tip...use the same size pan as in recipe. it will flatten out in the 8 x 5.
    If you love crusty European bread, you will really enjoy it.
    If you are an American sandwich bread purist, this will not make you happy....stick to indigo Nili Perfected egg white bread.
    I enjoy crusty bread, so I enjoyed. I think that my vital wheat gluten may need to be fresher, because it tasted stronger in flavor.....was in my freezer unopened and past the expiration date.

    This bread is amazing. I put all the ingredients in my food processor for one minute and that was all the hands-on time needed. I over-proved the first loaf and it rose so much that it was almost too soft to cut but the second loaf was perfect! Great for sandwiches and also toasted with scrambled tofu. I’ll definitely be making this at least once a week.

    I made this yesterday and it was amazing, 1 added 1/2 tablespoons erythitol to mine.Though my brand of pure avocado oil gave it a very very slightly light green colour. it still tasted so yummy.It’s such a struggle keeping my non Keto family away from this bread as it’s so delicious .     I have made this again and doubled the ingredients this time, wow a nice loaf, I have sliced it and put it in the freezer as I only need one slice at a time. Pity I can’t show you a picture. Thank you. Best recipes on utube.

    I just made it and is baking right now. But my dough was very wet and l was not able to knead it. I measured all the ingredients as per recipe. Should I reduce the water next time? By the way it smells like regular bread while baking! I am excited to try it!

      Hi Anna! May I know the brand of VWG you’re using? If the dough feels wet you can add more almond flour and wheat gluten (1/2 tablespoon at a time) until you reach the consistency.

    Hi @ketoserts I have failed to make this bread for some reason . I have made 2 attempts and failed miserably. I am not able to make the dough rise after 1 hour proof . I am not sure where am I making mistake ? Is the water temperature a big thing ? I really want to learn to perfect this recipe like others have . Please suggest me something. 😢

    This is the best bread recipe ever and I have tried alot this is hands down the best!! I just a regular loaf pan so it came out a little flat but I ordered the size loaf used in the recipe so cant wait to try again. The taste was spot on to regular bread

      Hello! I’m afraid there’s no substitute for vital wheat gluten. You need this to achieve the “real” bread texture in this recipe.

    Edit: Even though mine didn't turn out like this it's still pretty good. Mine came out dense, salty, chewy and rubbery, but after toasting it and making garlic bread and grilled cheese I could barely tell. You can't screw this up to the point of inedibility.
    I think I used too much salt and the wrong water temperature. I also probably didn't knead the dough enough. So watch out for that and make sure to be precise.

      Terena Rosa salt It’s only 1/4 tsp so it shouldn’t be the problem. Can I know the brand of your vital wheat gluten?

    Ok, the dough is rising. I don't have any bread pans that tiny though. I will have to maybe 1.5x the recipe next time. I'll report back. It smells exactly as it should, which is heavenly. Can't wait to smell it baking!

    Sorry for the late reply lol very busy today and night. This bread recipe is going to be a major for me very soon. On oct 01 i'm starting a dry fast and then into a liver flush then followed by a bowel cleanse then into herbal cleanse followed by dry fasting for a few month's with water fasting and herbs. I do this every year for a few months. lol Then going to follow a Keto diet from then on. I will be using many of ur recipes for sure. thx. sweetie....lol lol

    If I want to do this with other flour like coconut do I put the same amount as the almond. Also Im glad I saw the digital scale comment you put because i put a cup nd it weight to 235ml not 250 as the measuring cup says. Also I am using a breadmaker to make this. It kneads for like 30 minutes is that ok?

    I want to add to the pile of people saying this tastes and feels almost exactly like the real thing, so congratulations on that! But i have a small question:
    What is the best way to store it? I ask because i first left it in an airtight container to keep it for a while, but it started developing fungus and mold in only 2 days. Is there no way to prevent such rapid decay?

    I have a question. I saw the measurements of the loaf pan you used. but I have not been able to find those exact measurements. from what I see it is a smaller mold. I have a 9.3x5.2x2.7 inch. Should I double the recipe to make it as tall as yours?

      Hello dear.❤️ Male sure you have the right liquid temperature, use fresh instant dry yeast (not active dry yeast) and also the right humidity and temperature of your place for the yeast to rise. You can proof it in the microwave with a cup of hot water for about 20mins. Remove your dough and microwave the water again til it boils then put your dough back to proof. Repeat the process til it’s size doubles. You can also proof your dough inside your oven with the lights on. Hope it works.

    Doubled the recipe for a nice sized 9" loaf pan. Used olive oil.
    It is fantastic on it's own merits and 98% equivalent of a wheat flour based bread. Taste, density, flavor, similar but stand on their own as a unique type of bread as well.
    I may use fresh rosemary or caraway seeds next time. And there WILL be a next time. This will be a staple.
    Very satisfying to make as well.
    Since cutting out sweets in Dec, I have been looking to replace carbohydrates as well. The last bread I had was in a I made sandwich a week or so ago and I miss bread. Haven't gone the lettuce leaf route yet, so I am very happy to have discovered your recipe.
    So: Thanks for this.
    Damn. I just had a slice for breakfast with butter and am perfectly satisfied. Good on so many levels.
    Plus knowing just how few carbs I ingested makes me very happy.

    Hi I have this in the oven and it seemed.to be done after 10 minutes?
    A tooth pick came out clean too.
    I was using the fan oven setting but have changed it now to normal oven.
    Have also covered with foil and left to bake for the remaining time.
    Can we use a stand mixer to knead the dough?

    Hi, I live in German and I can't find vital wheat gluten here. Even in amazon doesn't send the product you've shared here. Can I search this as Seitan vegan flour?

      Hello Kemal. Yes, the vwg and seitan flour are used interchangeably. They are technically the same as seitan is essentially just gluten. You make some wheat dough, to form the gluten, and then keep rinsing out the wheat starch until only the gluten is left. To make vital wheat gluten, you dry out the seitan, and grind it into powder.❤️

    My dough does not rise like you do. How do I fix it? I tried popping it in an oven with a cup of hot water beside it to create humidity in the oven. But still did not rise. :(

      Hello dear, what kind of yeast are you using? You can also add a tsp of honey or a tablespoon of sugar to feed the yeast for easy proofing. I didn’t have to use any but some people added some honey/sugar/inulin to make sure the yeast will proof. The sugar will feed the yeast so it will not affect the macros of your bread.❤️

    Tried this today but the bread didn't rise. I left out for 3 hours and it started almost the same. It's it possible that I over kneaded it?

      Hello George. Can I know what brand of vwg did you use? My brand is Anthony’s Vital Wheat Gluten. Also make sure you have the right liquid temperature , use fresh instant dry yeast (not active dry yeast) and also the right humidity and temperature of your place for the yeast to rise. You can proof it in the microwave with a cup of hot water for about 20mins. Remove your dough and microwave the water again til it boils then put your dough back to proof. Repeat the process til it’s size doubles. You can also proof it inside your oven with lights on. Hope it works.❤️
