    They've meticulously carved out this motorcycle with the only intent of making it the best, in every aspect and it shows. It's pretty hard to make such motorcycles at such prices. What a roller-coaster of a turnkey year this has been. Of all the launches that got me excited, this is by far the best and most awaited and it didn't disappoint one bit. Prospective owners note, this is the bike that's gotten nothing but praises from the entire journo brethren of India unanimously with nothing left to nitpick, literally nothing. If you plan to go for this bike, your investment is going to the right place.
    What a bike! What a show KTM! Take a bow!

      even if this is my first bike? i dont like the idea of buying a 200-300cc and then upgrading after 5 years, i want to buy the 390 and just keep it as long as it lasts.

      I would buy it. But will be careful with how wide and fast I open the throttle in the beginning (will be soft and slow), until I am comfortable and confident and have gotten a feel for it (throttle position vs speed vs accelration at that speed vs suitable throttle control for current road conditions vs fun factor). Wouldn't worry much. Take care of others on the road, ones pillion (if), oneself and the bike.

    The banana swing arm and horizontal monoshock allows the bike to reduce seat height while increasing wheel travel and increasing ground clearance. The new 2025 Adventure is going to be much more comfortable than the current one.

      Thank you for the kind words. As you know, both are very different genres of bikes and it boils down to what body style you prefer. But I would choose the Duke over the Harley any day - looks better, better ergos daily commutes and a lot more fun in the twisties.

    Thanks for your review it really helps. Have a question, can this bike be used for touring purposes? say 300 + km ride in a day with both highway rides and say not so good road? I had RE 500 cc sold 4 years back and was out of touring and want to start again. Your suggestion would help me. Thank you.

    • @siddharthsharma8940
      @siddharthsharma8940 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It can be used for touring, as long as you keep it in the right gear.
      The moment you lose some speed, quickly downshift one and two gears, and then accelerate like a madman.
      You cannot ride this bike like a Bullet at high gears and low rpms.
      And the engine is such that you will not feel like being at a constant rpm for a long time. It begs you to rev hard and high, so your riding on the highway will be faster, with more acceleration and braking, instead of a constant stable speed done by bikes like the Enfield.
      So take a LONG test ride before you buy any bike, as the engine and chassis character varies alot in each bike

    Thanks Rohit for a very good summarisation. Speed 400 received all praises for the low and mid range and better suiting it for urban usage. As I'm not a fan of the retro style and shorter seat height of speed 400, when compared to the previous gens can this gen3 Duke fulfill my need for urban usage? Does it match or exceed speed 400 in low and mid?
    Would like to hear your opinion😊

    • @rohit_paradkar
      @rohit_paradkar 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you Deva, I’m glad you liked our video. The KTM is still a relatively peaky motor when compared to Speed 400. It’s got a strong midrange but the low end and tractability is still marginally better on the Speed. Will the difference be a deal breaker though for an urban runabout? No! The new KTM 390 Duke behaves much better as a runabout than it’s predecessors and doesn’t expect you to keep the engine on the boil.

    Hi Rohit, is it going to make sense, if this becomes my daily rider? and what are the best tyres i should go for? If i want to get the best out of the 390

    • @rohit_paradkar
      @rohit_paradkar 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Duke can easily be your daily rider. That’s the idea of the bike. You could upgrade to M7s if you want better grip on the track. For the road the M5s are good or you could look at Michelin Road 5 for better life.

    I absolutely love my duke 390 in swedish miniskirt design going by the name of Vitpilen 401. May be, I am too old but I could never make myself buy the original. Those mutant tusks growing out of the gastank totally trash the Design of the bike as does the insectoid headlight. Alarming paintscemes seem to be lesser problems but turn me off too - shrill and tasteless. I have no clue, what those people at Kiska have on their minds. They can do better.
