This was the most simple tropeo taming trap I've ever seen

I used this trap and this method to easily tame my first Tropeo (a level 140) tonight on Fjordur. It still works just like it's shown here. I didn't punch mine - I just hit it a time or two with my sword to quickly get its hitpoints down so it would start converting food to health.
If anyone else is wondering, as soon as you get it trapped, and throw a regular bola on it, you'll then get to see a pop up info window showing its food levels. I was wondering how they were seeing that as I don't see that on wild dinos.

Very good video, i struggled taming one but with this trap i was able to easily tame a lvl 140!
I recommend to build the trap one higher though!

Trap doesn't work, tried it 2 times the thing glitches out of it and chases you again, might need to tweak it but other than that it's a good idea

Yes, many survivors have been using it on Fjordur but keep in mind, you must feed it at least once before you can use a Sanguine Elixir on it.

@@rykerthornbury7781 no, the trope can Only be tamed while chain Bola'd. It will say not ready to tame above it if Bola'd or net projectiled.
