I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

This takes place on PvE Crystal isles on official all the time: We always try to help the newbies around here (like fend off big dinos and/or give starter supplys and sometimes a rex or crystal wyvern as they are easily breedable and raisable) and when we ask for landmarks and they say "A crystal" instantly the entire chat can be heard groaning throughout the world as some of us say "We're on Crystal Isles lol"
it's hard to make friends on the server tho and finding players
you prolly dont care at all but does someone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account..?

I would argue that the area surrounding red ob could be a contender for the hardest region, defending on how lucky you get with dino spawns. Ran there to download some creatures, got my unicorn, an argent and a bary, got a small stone shack set up to get a foothold on the map. Then I had the unfortunate revelation that the red ob is one of the very few locations that gigas can spawn in. I still miss Gloryrider, she was a fantastic unicorn. . . set up a shrine in the shoals to honor her passing.

idk center kinda signifies difficulty with its obs
@@bigbrainbuck6295 not in the same way as other maps, rag and center change it to have blue=easy, green= medium red= hard as opposed to every other map doing it green blue red

Crystal Isles Pro Tip: While the boss is probably the easiest of them all to defeat, the alpha wyvern, needed for it's claws to access the boss, are extremely rare. Best chance to farm them up is at the wyvern scar. The catch is you'll need to kill crystal wyvern heirs for days to grind up enough alpha claws to do the fight. On my last grind, I killed over 200 heirs over a 72 hour period to force spawns before I got all of the claws needed. The volcano and White Shoals areas will also spawn alpha wyverns, but it will take much longer in those locations, as the wyvern spawn counts are lower and there's a greater area to cover to find the alphas.

@@Raasclark I am a single player so this helps alot
Tip on the crystal. Big ones are decorative, you have to harvest the smaller nodes and heres the top: nodes with an odd number of spikes are harvestable, but even numbers are not. Swing your pick at the 1 or 3 spike nodes but skip the 4 spike ones.
Or just look for the Tools icon above all your gauges.. honestly, it surprises me how many players forget that's a thing lol

One thing to also note on Apotheosis is the 'No Fly Zones' where there's invisible water bubbles in a certain area that dismount you from your flying dinos mid air and makes your dinos unable to be whistled and eventually drown.
They still haven't fixed this?

@@shatteredyoshi Not sure, I've flown through Apotheosis to get to Eldritch and had no problems but the complaints I've seen about the glitch have been recent.
I've seen a couple of reports of bubbles still existing but have been flying through there frequently lately (looting a couple of large raided bases) and haven't been dismounted. All along the northern area and a good chunk of the south and central areas I've flown through safely for the past couple of months.

I usually start on the island all the time wanting an authentic story experience.. but CI is making me rethink that, maybe i should start off here than dl to other maps and rule.
All new wyverns can also be tamed with regular crystals, with only about 0.5 to 1 percent less taming effectiveness.Even tho I’m in endgame in Crystal isles, I’m still watching this vid, great work :)
Yes I also have like 30 wyverns most of them are tropical tho but i have also like 6 tek rex and 20 normal rexes also 5 spino squad, 4 argentavis,2 bronto i think enough for boss lol

would be nice if more spawned underwater.. I've gone kilometers without seeing a single creature.. but it could be because the maps size.. maybe it can only spawn a certain amount or same amount as lets say Rag but with this maps size some parts feel so barren

@@chlorine7484 try to get to level 65 as soon as possible, that way you can passive tame crystal wyverns and get a flier with ease, though you might want a berry gatherer first for tranq ammo, this way you can knock a wyvern out to get primal crystal to tame them with, just make sure to get out of there before it wakes up, most creatures from scorched and aberration spawn here, including megalosaurs, but the best creatures to use for the boss is spinos since there is water in the arena, be sure to bring a good shotgun with a lot of ammo for when the boss is flying

@@Raasclark when you go up to a crystal wyvern, it says you need to be level 65 to feed it, and if you want eggs for a crystal wyvern, the desert wyvern hive is where you can find eggs at a max level of 225 on official and singleplayer, there are 3 crystal wyvern variants, blood, ember, and tropical, with the tropical being found in the white shoals, blood being found in bloodfalls hallow, and ember being found in emberfall, and the eggs can be found at the desert hive, and the best part is that crystal wyverns could breed before regular ones could
@@grievous6630 Thank you, I spent yesterday getting to level 65 and I tamed a crystal wyvern, but then it died to heirs in the desert, but i can go get some more since my taming rates are on x6, so it only takes about 5 crystal for a level 50. I know good spots for silica and I know where karkinos spawn, and I have noticed that spinos spawn there. I have a parasaur, and a pack of 3 raptors so far, do you know what I should tame next? Do trikes gather more narcoberiies than parasaurs because I'm considering taming one?
I went to the big ele shard cave with a karkinos and two ankys for my metal

I know this is Random but, I play on Xbox and I want to play on official servers, But the Dinos are always level 100 or higher and I’m new so I barely survive. I’ve just been playing on Boosted.

You need to be at least Lv65 to tame wild Wyverns on Crystal Isles.

Also farm you can farm rag rock golem with a 135+ velonosaur pumped 70 lvl into melee instead of doing the launcher method. Just so you can get easy flak and maybe a decent guns and bps. Basically if you do a little research eventually even playing solo is no longer hard in the sense of the game but in the sense of rival players. Especially with Tek helmet now easy to get (arguably easy) you can't really hide loot like you use to unless you look up some ancient methods of hiding loot that people tend to forget about
And the Crystal Isles is the only mod map had 1 boss in 1 arena.
I'd never build a base on the floating islands, on the only ones that seem good to build on the waterfalls are too damn loud for my sanity

As the serias comes to an "end" i write my "last" comment.
This map is ine of the best ones, the only thing holding it back is the same as valgueros, they removed drakes, and reapers oh and eldrige isles is kind of dissapointing. But ohh i love the crystal wyvers
The old explanation was that they didn't want to make a map irrelevant so they made sure they all had exclusive tames.
Coarse then they added griffins here and Rag no longer has any exclusives 🤷
if would have been the perfect place for some odd new creature that we'd never seen before
@@timvandusen8280 I think its because ragnarok is free so they don't care about making the griffin exclusive as much as the dinos from paid maps cause they want people to have more reasons to get the paid maps

I wish on ps4 they would allow decitated server support for this and genesis part one. I would love to play them easier with my friends

@@jordansunderman5348 that's my typical preference, though it does depend on how boosted. our server is crazy boosted to where it's on easy mode. I'd honestly welcome some kind of challenge

I really liked your video on Crystal Isles, and did finally manage to get to the first place you showed for a base. BUT you are completely wrong when you say it is a safe place to spawn. I use the mod that allows for the UP Tek Armour because I got fed up getting killed by level 18 - 26 Dilophosaur that frequent every start area on all the DLC's I have played. This time was no different.
I even tried running away and the beasties wouldn't give up. I managed to collect enough stone and after several tried hopped a ride on the back of a crystal wyvern so I could make my new armour and put it on. I stood on it's back as it flittered around the beach, once I had made all my pieces I put it on and went looking for those damn critters and they were no where to be found.
Thanks for the tip on the base location. I am having problems finding meltal, but I am going to keep looking. I play on a server that can host 20 people but all my old guildies moved on, so I play solo.
There is no reply, but I think I have figured it out. From a distance the Emerald Wyverns only show male female. Once you hit them you find out they are heir's. It finally clicked NONE of the females can be tamed. Now I am back to searching for nests and they are very few and far between.
