Depends on what you’re doing. Typically, lay and play like I’m doing, you don’t need to reinforce the lowers. But if you plan on hopping, I’d recommend it. Better safe than sorry
I’m new to this so I’ve never heard of someone extending lowers. But you extend uppers to help with camber issues when you’re lifted/lowered and to relieve stress on the ball joints. If you extend both, you’ll just be basically right back to stock specs
@@BNRCustoms so does that mean it's out of whack at stock heights and it's closer to where it should be lifted and lowered? I'd like to do a long travel suspension on my car
Man I remember extending my 64 Impala arms 32 years ago when all we did was cut the ball joint off and weld a solid block in
Exactly 💯
Thank you for sharing content! I hope I do your instructions justice! I'm following the videos and doing my 85 cutlass
You’re welcome! Let us know how it goes!
Can't wait to see that LS in the 240!
That video will be up Sunday!
How much do you think it moved the wheel out from the top of the rim? My truck has camber I’m trying to remove
Do you ever leave the bump stop slots?
Nice
Nice vid man. Did you get your parts from Hoppo's? What's the link to the unbreakable ball joints?
I got the pump kit from CCE and the reinforcements from Hoppo’s
Unbreakables are NAPA #260-1091
Months later I had to weld a 3/16" plate under ball joint holes cause my holes were turning into an egg shape from hopping.
I don’t plan on doing a bunch of hopping so I hope I don’t have that problem lol
Couldn't you use caprice a arms?
whats the purpose of extending the arms?
What’s the part number for the ball joints ? Are they moogs?
Uppers: 260-1091
Lowers: 260-1130
They’re NAPA brand
Good content and info . Thank you 👍🏼
Mmmmmmmm fuckkkkkk yeahhhhh
Do the lowers have to reinforced?
