It makes perfect sense, they want to see you are actually planning on leaving.. They won't even let you on the plane from your home country without it. Welcome to travelling..

All great information. But I don't understand the benefit of the Multi Entry if you still have to leave every 90 days at the longest.
The only benefit I see is if you actually plan to keep going back to Thailand, and using it as a hub to travel SE Asia.
I have actually done that, only I didn't have the Multi Entry VISA. I would just leave Thailand before 30 days.

      Just a question...
If you belong to a tourist Visa exemption country and can stay for 30 days. If you enter into Thailand and after 2 or 3 days you leave for other country like Malaysia or Hong Kong and come back to Thailand again after 2 or 3 days, are we still allowed to enter into Thailand without a tourist visa because the of Visa exemption?

If I'm coming to Thailand on the 6 month multiple entry visa, I am actually planning on using Thailand as a tourist base, from there to hop over on a number of side trips to Indonesia, Vietnam, Camdodia, Singapore and Philippines at least every 60 days anyway. Maybe even as frequently as every three or four weeks. Sounds like I would not need to do the 30-day extensions at all. Except for maybe if I wanted to extend the last re-entry to stay the bonus 90ish. Am I thinking that through correctly?

  • @janerikkvarsten2273

Make shure that you don't stay more than 180 days per calender year in Thailand, so make shure that not more than 180 days of this visa is in a given calender year. so 90 + first year and less than 180 days the next year. Of less than 180 days the first year and rest next year. So you can stay for 270 days, but don't do i wrongly or it might give you a hazzle from next year on.

    • @tainanking
      @tainanking 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

yeah so essentially 9 months out of a 1 year span is possible but not within a calendar year. Like let's say I stay the last 3 months of the year and then stay 6 months the following year. That's 9 month straight out of the following 6 months calendar year.

    • @Digseys

Because they think you got something to return back home to. If self employed can show them tax accounts instead. You can leave Thailand as many times as you want within the 6 months you just get stamped in another 60 days.

@@SkyeSamuels hi..I posted earlier on about the conditions for a 6mnth METVisa when applying online to the London embassy,it was a lot easier than I expected, surely must be the same wherever people apply, got it within 3 days, tho had some problems at Suv.airport on arrival ,I put that down to a bored immigration official wanting to show who was in charge, anyway of course I got stamped in eventually.
I also mentioned Ranong when I tried to exit-because basically you will be coming back, unlikely to stay in Myan.for more than a day or so,its much stricter thanother crossings..might be useful info for you.
My METV will be finished on May 19 and I intend to leave as have no deire to bd here in the rainy season-this is why I dont get a retirement visa.
My question is do you think it will be possible to get another 6mnth METV in November this year,I dont wang to pay out 150GBP and then get turned down..any advice would be welcome.

Great vid, in regards to needing to show proof of an exit flight to get the visa. What if you're planning on doijg the 90 days ? Because surely if you show a return flight 90 days from arrival they can reject you ? Or do you book a flight 60 days then cancel that flight once you get the 30 day accepted?

Whats the best option for Australians to do this, we cant do the evisa for some reason so we have to send off our passport to the thai consulate for the 60 day visa, is there any better way so we don't have to head home
There are also a lot of youtubers in Thailand that say Thailand is now breaking balls when entering multiple times, telling them they wont be allowed in after this entry, thats even after 6 months
