  • The new TaylorMade Stealth driver represents a transition to a new age in TaylorMade Drivers, featuring an all-carbon construction for the first time. This new design, powered by TaylorMade's 60X Carbon Twist Face, helps create more ball speeds and higher forgiveness levels for golfers.
In this video, 2nd Swing master fitters Jackie Johnson and Skylar Kistler each test out the TaylorMade Stealth driver and compare it to the previous-generation TaylorMade SIM2 Max driver, and discuss the similarities and differences with Drew Mahowald.

Was at the range yesterday and the guy next to me had a new Stealth Max 10.5 head - I'm a current Callaway Epic Max LS 9.0, closed to 10.0 but with the weight fully in the toe player. We opened the Stealth Max head fully to play at 8.5. The stock Stiff Shaft was a little soft, but de-lofted/opened fully, it was still Draw biassed in my opinion - but it was long and repeatable with a high-flighted trajectory. My guess is that 10.5 Max head would fit a lot of golfers

how is it that with the face open it draws? i have a stealth that i close the face and i slice, i though it would be the opposite

@@iluv2rob2002 that's your swing, not the club. If you are slicing your driver with the club closed, then you need to learn to square your open face

You're really not going see a big difference between these two clubs. But if you're updating from an m4 from 2018 to the Stealth.... you will see a huge difference especially hitting with the correct shafts.

have a question for anyone that knows......i want to order the SIM 2 MAX but can only order it stock online.....once i get it can i take it into any golf shop and get 1.25 inches cut off so its 44 1/2 inches and a midsize grip put on.? .... my reason for going with the SIM 2 MAX instead of the STEALTH 2 is price and is it really that better....SIM 2 MAX ( 500 Canadian ) STEALTH 2 ( 800 Canadian )...is this the way to go do you think....welcome all thoughts ....cheers from Canada

Yeah, some shops can cut it down for a fee. Just call and ask.

      SIM 2 is better!

Ive had every TM driver from M1 and currently have the SIM2 max d. M4 was the worse "inconsistent" driver for me. M6 was good but SIM is further. My issue is quality. Like the spider putters, paint chips very easy plus the rubber "speed pocket" wears quickly, partic on fairway and rescues. I would never lend these clubs for that reason. Hopefully Stealth will be better for the $$$ asked, as I buy pre used last seasons.

Now they need to do a wedge head to head! Blade or cavity back style.

What I’ve learned about these simulators is that they’re to totally different from hitting outside. I’ll hit my old Adams Insight 3 wood 235-250 in real life but only 210-215 on the simulator. The same with my Taylormade r9 rescue vs the callaway 3 hybrid vs Ping 430 hybrid. On the simulator, I’ll hit the new stuff “better” but my old stuff is less than what I get in real life

They usually tell you that as the condition add extra distance, like roll, wind, heat/cold.
Think the simulator is there as a guide for ball flight more than anything

Depends on which launch monitor are they using. Not all launch monitors are made equal

Would be curious if Skylar gets better results from a 3 wood.

Nice to see instead of higher faster speeds. Ypu need to do the Callaway Rogue Rt v the original rogue.

I bought the Sim2 Max late last year. For me personally it’s the worst performing driver I’ve had in years and I had a fitting session. Performance on course nothin* like performance during fitting session......

The reality is there is absolutely no reason to,spend $500 for the next generation. Inconclusive results and certainly nothing worth the price. Buy whatever you want a year or two old when the next generation comes out. Save a few hundred bucks.

Both are great options from only one year in technology I wouldn't expect big differences - Thomas
