Lot of haters on this video, can’t you guys just appreciate how much of a master at his craft this guy is? As expert as they come. It’s honestly amazing watching him work.
Trot is a master of his craft, and it's a guarantee that ur clubs will be the absolute best quality a player can have!!! It's beautiful to watch how he builds and explains every dynamic of doing what he's doing.
Watching this reminds me of when I was a Junior and used to help out in the Pro Shop. It was all a lot simpler then. A vice, a pipe cutter, some araldite, A roll of double sided tape to spiral around the shaft and a container with petrol in, that was all you needed. This looks extremely Professional. I hope the Players appreciate the efforts gone into their Clubs.
I’m literally watching Rory hit this driver live whilst watching this. Fantastic insight. Well rehearsed sir you’ve done this before!! People have no idea the math in golf equipment. More of these videos, excellent.
Imagine the weekend warrior going into the clubhouse at his local course and saying, "It's windy today, make me another driver". It's rainy today, make me another driver". "It's very hot, make me another driver". It's good to be a pro.
it sure as shit is! especially at an "off the rack" pop of $700 CAD. Well before any custom shaft or grip potentially boosts it over a the cost of a decent set of perimeter weighted irons. Insane.
For me it'd be Monday : "I sliced this one, make me another driver.", Tuesday "I sliced this one, make me another driver.", Wednesday: "I sliced this one, make me another driver.", Thursday: my wife didn't let me play Thursday. Friday: "I sliced this one, make me another driver."....

@@apaulmcdonough2170 true. But he does say at the end, “ let’s finally clean of my fingerprints with this 3M spray and walk it out to the range.” I guess he could just tell Rory to wait to hit it until the grip drys. But as a player, that sucks. If you hand me my new club I’m going to want to hit it right then.

Two years late to the party but somehow I'd imagine that's more of a video presentation choice than good practice. Interesting as I thought when guys find a driver they like, they stick with it week after week. But depending on conditions they are now changing? Or was it he didn’t hit the Max well in Dubai so he’s switching at Torrey Pines?
To my knowledge it's more of the player trying to keep the feel of the club while optimizing flight characteristics based on conditions of the course and where they're playing at. Altitude, the thickness of the air, how wet or dry the course is playing are all conditions players take into account. That's why it's so important for the clubmakers on the truck to be able to dial in swing weight, loft, and lie to exactly what the player is comfortable playing. The club will feel exactly the same to the player but their launch and flight characteristics will differ. This allows the pros to play the "same" club at Club de Golf Chapultepec (like they did in 2017) at 7800 ft above sea level as they would anywhere else. Your ball's apex will be lower at higher altitudes than at sea level and will carry further (4-12% for us average guys and 8-15% for TOUR players), but these guys aren't just going for distance, they want accuracy to be able to put the ball in the most advantageous positions so increasing loft to increase apex, change carry distance, and effect run out are all things the players and their teams have to take into account.
I think they switch a lot depending on conditions of the course and the weather i know for wedges they will alter bounce and other things depending how the course is playing, its crazy how much goes into it
