@Supa Dupa Hilton, You're right it's not Glenn's 1st day for sure, but what's amazing is he still sounds like he first did. That is a rare breed in vocalist, which he also is besides playing bass guitar. Mr. Hughes is 70 years old and still sounds great. A little insight Glenn has been in Trapeze,Deep Purple,Black Sabbath,Gary Moore,Joe Satriani,etc... and currently in a band called Black Country Communion, with Joe Bonamassa & Jason Bonham. Now you've heard, go check him out if you dig Classic/Hard Rock! Simply one of the best!
Got the Crush Bass 50 a few months back. Got far more than I figured for. Fantastic tone. I just wanted a practice bass amp. I got somethinf that I'd never have to make excuses for tone-wise. I hope this eventually gets a much more powerful head. 300/500 formats like the OB1 and 4 Stroke.
Got my Glenn Hughes signature model about a week ago. Love the tones that are possible to dial in. Today, I plugged into a DI. Plugged the bass into the input, then to the Amp. Plugged the ( forgot the term) mic cable into a 60 watt PA and hit more power than needed for a small club. With a PA for a larger venue, it would work perfect. Loud enough to hear yourself and others through floor monitors ( old school). Will work perfectly.
Glenn!!!! My Glenn Hughes Limited Edition Orange Crush Bass Combo 50 just arrived today...I shall rock it with Deep Purple pride!!!
Everyone rightfully heaps praise on Glenn for his vocals, however, he's a brilliant bassist too.
Amen agree 💯
It still amazes me that he gets that tone with superlight strings. 😮
CLASS ACT !!!
BASS & VOCALS ARE KILLER !!
I'd never heard of this guy before, but I can tell it's not his first day on the instrument LOL. Beautiful clear punchy sound!!

Barry Clark - Good evening Barry. Ok the 50 is a 12" speaker. Tone is wonderful. Can you be loud enough to rehearse with a decent hitting drummer?
@@sixsentsoldiers I don't think it would be. The 100 is better which I use for gigging with the drummer

Cool video
9:29 Orange guy's eyes are like "oh god, where's he going with this?"
shit got deep!
Black Soul Communion! Long live Hughes!
Has the 100watt version enough power to gig with? Or practice with a drummer ?
My buddy is looking for a new bass amp
Can i recommend him this ?
I would think so but he may want to set it on something. I always said "my knees don't have ears"
Yeah if you can raise it higher on a cab flight case it's perfect
I want an amp that I can practice with a full metal band and do live gigs with, would the 100w be good for that?
Glenn, Ya have awesome technique Man! I have a Roland 120 Cube 2 way speaker! Is the Orange Crush better?? I want your professional opinion 🤔
Great video! Im curious how that squire bass VI at the beginning of the video sounds on these.
Very cool video >;-)
bass looks like a Celinder or possibly a custom Yamaha JJ..
I thought he was gonna play the Squier VI 😔
What foot switch for the crush 100w????
FS-1
I feel better now knowing his arms are skinny like mine.
That is definitely the main theme of the video.
Orange Amps ha. I played bass for many years with my skinny arms
@@OrangeAmplifiers That was the most British reply ever...! Also you guys wipe the floor with your price-to-tone ratio.
What kind of bass is Glenn playing?
looks like a p bass of some sort
Yamaha Glenn Hughes signature prototype. It should be debuting at NAMM this year I believe.
Anthony Simeone, It's his signature Yamaha Bass
Why would he want to play the smaller ones with less features and smaller speakers? The host looks so uncomfortable.
Glenn seems a bit strung out or something
Glenn has been sober for almost, if not 30 yrs
Glen is the guy every single wanna-be rocker boomer guitarist wish they were... but on bass
I like the sound of the amps. His playing is 🤮.
His albums would beg to differ.
