@@MonstarMk3 the mic on the amp is a Sennheiser e602 which is my current favorite for mic’ing bass cabs and kicks. I didn’t do the final mix on this and it sounds to me like there is some of the shotgun mic mixed in as well.
Amazon sent me this amp when I ordered the non limited model. I was not aware of these until it showed up at my door but I am totally stoked to have it. I'm a "bass guitar" beginner but damn what a great amp to begin my journey on. P.S. I grew up on Deep Purple. Storm Bringer is one of my favorite songs of all time.

I'm a bass player and have sang professionally . Bass I'm new to as of 13 months ago . This man can sing circles around men half his age with ease. Absolute freak of nature . He isn't good for his age . He's phenomenal period . As a singer in particular. As a bassist well he's just as good to be honest. Don't ask me how he does both simultaneously .....
Can attest, these amps are great! The clean bass path is very clear, weighty and present. The saturated gain can be blended in however you want and it can either take over or be a layer. I have a demo of the whole Crush Bass line on my channel if you want to hear a bit more.
I'm not really needing another amp but damn if this doesn't seem extremely cool. I wonder if there is going to be a Glenn Hughes AD200B edition head in the future? Hmmmm...
Orange has been slowing phasing out their high wattage tube amps. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see Orange coming out with any new tube amps that are 100+ watts.
Like Entwistle, Glenn is a bass guitarist and not a bassist. I’ve always appreciated his licks and playing. Support, yet stands out. Rocks but sets a groove.

My workaround is to put a D.I. box in the FX loop on the back. It's not quite as clean as having an XLR out on the amp, but works just as well! I've done it a lot with an MXR bass DI and a Sansamp, but just tried it over the weekend with a friend's "Connect by Whirlwind EDB1 Direct Box" coming out of a regular Orange Crush Bass 50, and we all agreed the cheap D.I. sounded the best. Play around with it :)
@@dm4728 I think it disables the speaker I’m gonna try either a di through the loop or miking the port that would sound cool I just don’t like putting mics in front of amps live
He doesn't get enough credit-Been doing it for awhile you know. Nothing sounds like an Orange - there's that lil something there that seperate's them from the pack I would also say that about ENGL aswell - The The Tribute Glenn Hughes Amp is a good value at a fair price. Although I would use a Fuzzier over the top pedal for High Gain Area- It's a win win situation
I am looking at one of these for my daughter... slightly, well more than slightly disappointed that there is no direct out. Even the Fender Rumble 40 has a direct out. Even more with this one being a signature model, you'd think there would be a direct out or even a line out. I am by far no pro, but every gig I play the sound engineer expects a direct out of the bass amp.... never once have they brought a mic to mic up my bass rig.
Can I ask why this is needed? Is that mostly for live or what? I cant see why it would matter much for studio stuff when I can just plug direct into my interface if I wanted to. Im getting this potentially so that I can capture the real amp sound and air etc

My mom was admitted in the hospital for two times (October 6, 2021 until October 21, 2021 and October 29, 2021 until November 18, 2021). I was the one who take care of her until now. We owe alot of money from other people just to pay my mom's hospital bill. I need to prioritize my mom's health than to my dream amplifier. My wish this coming Christmas is to have an Orange Rocker 32 Combo Amplifier or Supercrush 100 Combo. Either that two I would be forever grateful. Thank you for the giveaway. Godbless you! @@nathanielcava4128 "Better sounding" is subjective. Some players think tubes sound better while others prefer solid state amps, Fractal, or Kemper.

If the 50 had an XLR out then I would definitely be getting one.

DI it plug bass into the DI, plug that into amp then the mic cable to PA.
For some reason I hate it when the sound guy goes to the back of my amp & runs it through the board. Wish he would just mic it.

That's pretty close to what my cr120 head unit sounded like when I played bass through it, but mine was cleaner and better tone !😉
The Cr120 is 120w and this combo is 50w. More power = more clean headroom, it's a no brainer.
