Brian Baker is one of the best guitar players around. Amazing tone, melodic sense and chord progressions in everything he's done, as well as ripping solos as good as anyone.
I discovered Gaslight Anthems two years ago. Their music got me through the best times and bad times. This new album was the highlight of this year for me.
Bad religion has always been my favorite band growing up but only in the last couple years has Brian become one of my favorite punk rock guitar players. I love when he gets loose during a BR show
Brian B - thanks for helping me & many others through those tough early years with all your punk contributions. For some reason, it’s Dag Nasty that spoke to me most. MT too. The best.
@@mitchellferre1652 That difference is pretty significant as far as Orange goes, because Orange amps are typically voiced pretty dark, which is great for certain applications, so having a presence and bright switch really makes this more flexible. Yes it's pretty pricey, and for that I would be happier if it was 50W with EL34s, but I do think this is a meaningful step forward. I love my Rockerverb MKii 100, but being that it's a pretty dark amp, the lack of a presence control/bright switch means that it's limited in terms of what mixes it can cut through. To compensate, I've explored all sorts of eq pedals and boosts, to boost some high mids, and have found a combination that works for me, but it would be nice to be able to dial that in on the amp without having to rely on peddles to get your amp to cut through the mix. I know Orange is all about the low mids and Marshall is all about the high mids, and Orange doesn't want to lose their unique identity, but including controls that add high mids is really going to make their amps so much more flexible.
100% Orange, but with some nice, contemporary features. Not really cheap for a single channel amp, on the other hand, if you buy yourself and play an Orange, you most probably know, why. Great amp!
In the last few days I'm going nuts, trying to figure which English made Orange amp might be the best for dooming with my 9-string. The Rockerverb has a wonderful clean channel, but the drive channel seems to be too well-mannered for my taste, not enough mids. The AD30HTC was a lot of fun when I tried it at a store, but it has this unsteady compression going on when notes ring out, sounds a tad cheap in some situations. This OR30 seems to be just the compromise of all worlds I needed. Class A design with tube sag, all of the mids with a nice focus on low mids, and the ability to go from trebly punk all the way to mellow doomy sounds with a nice low end to things. The improvement over the AD30HTC I didn't find until I learned about the OR30. It's pricey, yes, but I can also hear why it's pricey, it just is built that good. I guess matching it with Delta Pro 12A speakers in a big Zeck 2x12 cab will be a good idea?
Have you considered the OR50? Pretty much the same price as a brand new OR30 if you look on the used market. I'm seriously considering trading my Rockerverb mk3 for it. I've tried both the OR50 and the OR30 on the same day this week and I can't stop thinking about them, might end up just getting both !
The bright switch is nice but would love to just see a reissue OR50 with a push pull bright knob and built in foot switchable gain boost like the OR100 had. I set my gain at 11 o clock too with my P90 Gibson.
Any advice to help me choose between the OR30 and the OR50, besides the wattage and the OR30 bright switch and effect loop? Any subtle differences? Honestly I might just get both haha!
sounds so classic. Such a funny video. Thanks for that. OR30 sounds awesome. I will buy is. Bur I will use the fisting thing cause it it cool. Pure 70 sound.
Go Brian Baker - DC represent I love Orange amps but not digging this sound at all. Sounds really boxy. I think I will stick with my Rockerverb 100 mk III and CR120's

Always get a laugh out of demo’s where they just leave the EQ in the middle and you’re just dying for them to make it brighter and less boomy and they never touch the damn thing. Thank you Orange for having Punk Rock royalty on this video. More punk rock artist please.

Brian Baker you are the holy grail of punk rock. Thanks for being such an inspiration.
These guys should have a regular show.

Handwritten album hits me in the feels every time! Both these guys seem like an awesome hang
Holy shit. The fact that they opened up with Ain’t It Fun sells me on this amp even more. Dead Boys/Rocket From The Tombs forever.
Right!! That was fucking sick

The tone of that thing with the P90 is glorious. So bright and crunchy and rich. This is gonna be another classic from Orange
We need these two for commentary on everything! Dog show, auto races, horse races, soccer, political discourse….It all works.
this amp really does so much things with one thing
Thats the thing about Orange. Note separation and clarity. Top tier.
Best Brian's! Glad to know both of their incredible bands are coming out with new records!
I love both of these guys and have listened to both of their bands for a very long time. Thank you orange.

That junior slays through that amp. I run my 61 jr through my Rockerverb and it's glorious. Think I may need this OR30
Orange is really on the right track with this one. Great amp, great sound.
Love Brian Baker, love Brian Fallon, love Russo Music in Asbury Park, NJ. Don't have an Orange amp but would love to have one someday.
they're great together.
Brian Baker has a pretty kick ass classic rock blues rock tone for a punk guy. That tone is tasty!!
That blue sg is rad, saw Brian playing it in Baltimore and I want one for real
Brian F'ing Baker!!!! Plus this OR30 is amazing!! What everyone else said: More punk, please!!
Wow, this is rad. Two of my favorite bands right there

Great chemistry with these two.
Presence knob and a bright switch, what every Orange amp needs. This was a good move.
That's about all I see different from the other Orange amps. I don't know what all the fuss is about with OR30. It's almost $2000

It's interesting how the Vintage 30 works so well with Orange. It's not always my favourite.
That dude Brian Baker just does what he wants. Unfortunately he very rarely does it around me. Only when I go to the shows.
I’ve been in love with my AD30 for 14 years, but this has me really excited!
Oathhhhh 🍊
Nice jam at the start folks! Amp sounds bloody fantastic - certain it will be too loud for average home users though.
I’m not even very good at guitar but damnit, now I want to buy this amp. And a new guitar to go with it.
Ain’t it fun!
I typically don’t like SGs but that blue one is gorgeous.
Ad a punk rocker since forever i really appreciate this orange 🤟
Bad Religion/Gaslight Anthem tour please
Brian Bakers tone is perfection.
I love my OR 15 the clean has so much character, and the gain is out of control in a good way
Adore both of these dudes but I'm just gonna say it, Brian Fallon morphin into Vince Neil. Hope he's happy and healthy

Not the first Orange Amp to have a bright cap switch! The original Orange Matamp has it in the Drive (studio/stage) rotary control !
100% Orange, but with some nice, contemporary features.

Good to hear P90 through that amp..turn the master up full and use the pre as the volume to get a wicked "Green sound". Gtr on 4/5.
Here for Brian's punk tone 🔥🔥
When Brian introduced himself there was a split second where he thought should I list all the bands I play for or just say Bad Religion?
"I'm smiling!" (while the corners of his mouth had gone south for the winter already)
