The tilt knob represents a two channel Plexi style normal and brite.. it works as it if you are jumping the channels example tilt all the way left = normal and all the way right = brite channel.. jumping would be guitar plugged into hi normal input and a jump cable plugged into low Normal channel over to Brite hi channel.. something we always did in the 70’s-80’s The Tile knob is a great addition to this single channel amp!! Hey man, I love the video, great sounds! I have a question though, I also have a Marshall Origin 50C and I'm experiencing quite a hiss and it gets louder when I turn up the gain. At first I thought it was the power supply of my pedalboard, but I also hear it when I plug my guitar in directly. I'm wondering if you remember experiencing something similar like that and if it's the Origins normal noise floor, because I don't seem to hear it on the video. Cheers!
Try it without anything connected. If it still hiss, it is a problem on your amp, if not, it’s something about your setting, pickups, pedals or cables.
I've got the head coming supposedly at 2 pm today. It's like Xmas morning. I've seen some really negative things said about this amp.the 20 more. I heard a used one and just don't understand the hate. That being said maybe it just took a few years for ppl to play with it? But it seems like an amp that can get you where you need to go.so what if you need an od. I love my sd1 with my 87 marshall solid state and without it. I'm just scared to try to dial it in because if it's anuthing like a hot rod deluxe its going to be loud! Anyway I'm glad to see ppl enjoying this amp. I've only heard it sound truly bad on one video and the guy was playing badly. Apparently the tilt make up for the high trebles on a plexi. My ss state blends clean and dirty I'm not sure if the tilt sorta works the same?
All bad comments are from people who hasn’t play this amp with a proper setting… it needs some time to find the right “sound” for each one. But believe me, once you got it, it’s something you want to hear forever in your tone…
Great video. Learned a lot about this amp. Wanting to get into tubes and it's between this and the dsl40cr from Marshall as well
Thanks mate! Just bought one and love it. Cheers to Papa.😊 Peace!

Thanks Luth, my dad looked it up and told me all about it after I published the video. What a cool idea!

That’s a good question. Do you have the problem on all three power settings?

Before you jump, NO reverb is no deal.
Ha! I feel you, but you can always use an off-board reverb.
