I was on my skiing holiday in Les Arcs when this was filmed! got my picture taken with hammond as well. It was just brilliant!

@@egg0534 English is more important because the americans have a lot of geopolitical influence, but before the beginning of the pax americana age, french was as important as english and it was used a lot more (still is) than it in treaty signings, french was the de facto diplomatic language of the world. Not used as much nowadays but still relevant since french is spoken fluently by 270 million people worldwide and is recognized as an official language in 29 countries making it the 5th most spoken language in the world.

We just watched Richard Hammond drive very fast down a mountain without crashing and I think we should appreciate that

Wow, sad . But hardly surprising i thought lucky they didnt break their necks doing this stunt,. Us humans tend to forget that we are made of soft tissue over bone.

+Hyper Horse If you're able to handle a paraglider and a pair of ski it's not that difficult or risky ... not more risky and dangerous than fumbling on your car's radio while driving at 120 km/h

OMG I was there when they filmed it I was only 10 and I got my photo taken with Richard Hammond!!! I was staying in 1950 and I was getting the bread in the morning when I saw the film crew!!!!!!
Been to Les Arc and Villaroger before, recognise all of the lifts and locations!
I cant walk in ski boots and these guys are climbing in them 😂😂😂

So that RS6 had more power than Audi's now 2017 R8 V10 Plus which makes 540 hp which is also Audi's flagship high end car.
nova495 Normal V10 makes 533. V10 Plus makes 600+ . Think it was 604 or 614 hp
nova495 R8 engine is n/a and this rs has turbos

The Engine is in the new Gallardo LP560-4. And the Press also says in a lot of test articles that the Engine IS a Lamborghini Engine. I think they used the V10 cause of the BMW M5 Saloon.

@jamie123gers - most of it I have memorised. I know the M5 is the least spacious, the Merc the most, but I had to look up boot space figures (except I remembered reading that the Merc is about 1900 litres with the rear seats down).

They have a new engine... It's a register-turbocharged 5l V10 Diesel!
That ebgine makes
about 540 hp (okay, a bit less than this one)
1000Nm of torque already at 1500 RPM!!
And this Diesel engine consumes way less than this one
or any other engine above 500hp or above 600Nm.
This new engine already drives the "Nanuk" prototype, shown on the IAA 2013.
I hope this engine will be used also for other AUDI cars.
