But as you say it's different these days, it's like there's a small but very vocal minority getting offended by everything and they get to dictate what the majority can enjoy. Jordan Peterson made a very interesting point in an interview, that you "can't say anything about anything important ever without offending" and continues to make the point that there's this idea today that you can't offend anyone. So what if you're speaking to one person, do you have the right to offend that person? What if you're speaking to 10 people? Do you get to offend 1 in 10? Or 1 in a 1000?

There is one fact about this show many have forgotten about (even though it has been only a few short years) and some other people try to bury because the trio is not woke: when the trio left, Top Gear was the biggest TV show (not just car show) on the planet and by far the biggest money earning program for the BBC. They were actually profitable. Just a shame it ended the way it did

I am absolutely amazed at how those three control their laughter, i absolutely cannot understand how they do it. Even in comedy films there are so many bloopers where they fall over laughing and they can only shoot it when they do it so many times it becomes boring. These guys are actually incredible

There is one fact about this show many have forgotten about (even though it has been only a few short years) and some other people try to bury because the trio is not woke: when the trio left, Top Gear was the biggest TV show (not just car show) on the planet and by far the biggest money earning program for the BBC. They were actually profitable.

Yes, it’s a reference to the fact that a number of American tv dramas and films, whenever they feature truck drivers, nearly always portray them as killers. A few episodes of CSI and Criminal Minds spring to mind as examples.
He was pertaining to the Yorkshire Ripper who was a lorry driver who murdered prostitutes in the 80s. He used the guy as inspiration for the lorry driver stereotype lol.

I adore how they deal with offended people. In Sweden, if someone gets offended, SVT (the Swedish equivalent of BBC), they would say they are ”deeply sorry for any mistake” and the whole show would probably be canceled.
That's pretty much how the BBC is now too. They used to have a spine and were a respectable organisation. Not any longer.
