90% of the downforce was generated by the weight of Timo's balls.
270km/h at Flugplatz, 290km/h at Schwedenkreuz, 300km/h through the corner where Niki Lauda had his crash back in 1976, more than 250km/h at Mutkurve. The speed is just insane. The GT3 cars that usually race at this track top out at around 290km/h on the long straight.

I'm sorry, but you don't get it. Honestly, neither do I. I think, you'd have to be a professional racecar driver with experience on the Nordschleife to really understand what's going on. The top speed is the least interesting thing about this. The downforce and the grip in corners is mind-blowing. The fact that it is an all-wheel-drive hybrid with a tiny V4 engine is unbelievable. The car is absolutely ridiculous, but the real hero is Timo Bernhard. He mentioned in an interview, that the car could go even faster, but his brain can't. He must have a marvelous brain, if that's his limit. BTW the record still stands! The next time is by the fully electric Volkswagen ID.R at 6:05.633. The fastest street-legal car is the Mercedes-AMG One with 6:30.705.

And the fastest Ford Transit van (no tuning, no modification, just a blue Ford Transit) was driven by Sabine Schmitz at 10:08.
6:45 That 350km/h hillclimb at "Kesselchen" is insane. You wouldnt believe how steep it actually is until you saw it IRL. I dont know how to describe it, but its REALLY F ing STEEP.

This is what happens if you let german egeneers have fun with one of the fastest cars in one of the fastest racing series. The porsche 919 was originally an Lmp1 car and this chassis was allready build when Porsche decided to stop competing in the Lmp class. Everyone thought it would be sad to just put it away so they said: fuck it, let's see what will happen if we take an Lmp1 car and remove all the regulations. The driver has said in interviews that the car could go way faster and even he could be a second or so faster with a bit more of practice time. What's even more insane to know is that this was pretty much the first time for Timo in the real car. Befor that he did some time in a simulator but that can only get you so far. For the longest time he didn't even know what car he'll be driving since they pretty much only said: "hey, we're building a car to go around the nordschleife and we think you're the only one able to handle this. Would you be down to do it?". They had 1 or 2 other drivers in mind but decided on Timo because of his knowledge of the track
And is a V4 2.0 litres 😂
They took the Race car from the Les mans series and added a lot of the fun stuff that is banned from racing during the last decades.
By they way, can you imagine, that this car in only 6 times faster than the fastest cyclist?
This record has absolutely not been broken!
If someone want to visit the 911 Hybrid Evo; it is parked in the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. It is iconic with all of the signatures of the Porsche workers.
And if you are there, the Mercedes Museum is only few km away. The Porsche museum and the AUDI museum in Ingolstadt with the Audi Quattro Pikes Pike on the famous elevator with all the other iconic AUDI and NSU race cars are for me the highlights, but the BMW museum in Munich (together with the BMW campus/BMW world on the other street site) and the Mercedes museum in Stuttgart are not worse, all have to be visited.
For non-series/non-road-legal cars, this is unbroken lap record!

Ein Rimac Nevara braucht 7.05 Minuten.. Mit 2000 PS..... Formel 1 1976 7.06 Minuten und der ewige Rekord von 35 Jahren war 6.11 Minuten vor dem hier. Es war auch ein Porsche....

Some of those bends aren't really bends in a regular car.
They sent you the wrong video. If you just look up 919 Nurbirgring you'll find a vid that is just the lap.
Just watch the drivers head. You not only have to be a great driver but you also have to be super fit to withstand those forces at this speed. It´s insanity but in a good way.

He topped at 369 km/h, that’s 100 meters each second. The longest straight is 2.6 kilometers long so he needed 26 seconds for that 😂😂 holy shit

iit´s hard to find the words how disrespectful and ignorant zhis reactor is.
Rhe former lap record of Stefan Bellof was 35 years old and this record time was 51 seconds faster!
The physical limits of this rollercoaster track are reached, this record MAYBE gets broken in 50 years with a 2000 hp car and more downforce.
ButI I think this is a mark for the eternity.
