After 50k miles, the electric car breaks even with an ICE equivalent assuming an ALL COAL electric grid, with a more efficient grid the break even point is going to be even lower. And that is only considering the manufacturing of the cars themselves. Like the other guy said, infrastructure is where making a realistic break even point is hard. But I do have to admit, for small cars making small trips (less than 10km at once) electric cars are more useful than ICE. But the king is still E-Fuels combined with ICE. Tho there is still the issue of pollution from brake dust.

Electric cars aren’t about saving the planet. Anyone who thinks that should do some research on how those batteries are made.
