I just worked on a Lawn boy with honda engine. Blades wouldn't engage. I was doing it for free. So I took the blade off 2 hex nuts. Then a blade type adapter. Then a metal plate. Then it was to I think the clutch plate. Well cleaned it a little. Told the lady. I can't the plastic cover off. Sorry I can't fix it . Put it back together. Miracle. Blade engagement worked. She is happy

I have a Honda mower HR215 when engaged it works cute but sometimes when I run it and cuts some time cut off on me I have to turn it on again when I look underneath there nothing blocking blades or anything

My mower had the same issue, but mine was caused by a rope (part of a dog toy) that got wrapped around the rear axel. This video gave me the hint I needed to find it.
