The Bible was kind of the book that made reading a thing for people in large cities, and yet nowadays the people that are so violently adherent to it openly admit that they haven't read most of it and actively condemn their already fairly vengeful and bloodthirsty God for any time he is being benevolent, literally disagreeing with the Messiah figure of their own religion on the fact that everyone should have food and water and a house.
(this unironically happened a bunch of churches literally condemned Jesus Christ himself for being a socialist because they're insane and have never read the book and just want a reason to do fascistic theocracy where no one questions the guy who says that the big guy talks to him)
With the admission that he's never played a sonic game, I'm suddenly not convinced that BDG has ever played any of the games he's done an unraveled on, and honestly, that probably makes it better.
There's a video on the Drawfee TH-cam channel feat. Brian where he reveals he hasn't actually played a Dark Souls game before. Makes it better because that collab was basically an excuse to promote the Dark Souls Bosses Unraveled lmao
I think he might have played some of the games he's doing an unraveled on, but when it comes to games like Mario where he was analyzing all the main game's enemies to put into Bowser's military hierarchy there's no way he could have played all of them just for one video.
plot twist: he's actually never played any video game ever. Any video or stream showing him playing a video game is actually footage created by someone else while BDG just says whatever comes to his mind without even looking at the video. This whole time, he's been talking about video games without actually knowing what an xbox or playstation controller even looks like.

@FinalGame James, Kintobor being Sonic's father-figure type is pretty much the early story of the British Fleetway Sonic the Comic series, where they were friends and working in a lab together to use the chaos emeralds to remove all of the planet's evil, that might be what you're thinking of?

When he said that I wouldn’t click off the video I was sort of insulted, so I went to click off. But, I just... couldn’t?? I just couldn’t bring myself to stop watching. Like, I wanted to see through with this absolutely monstrosity I have been hit with, even though I felt betrayed and disgusted. Overall, that was terrible. 10/10.
Well, to be honest, I've only played them a couple times over a decade ago.

what i love about this one is that there's no explanation of where the concept came from. like, with combining e-sports and traditional sports, that was trying to capitalize on the lapse of sports coverage due to *The Situation.* the crash bandicoot dimension was created to perfectly replicate the contemporary period for the purpose of immersion. there's usually a logical thought process, and often that thought process is explained. but here... it really just feels like this concept came to him in a vision from an angry god...

Polygon hit a fuckin' home run recruiting BDG. I rarely rewatch videos but I always find myself going back to this series (and his personal channel) because everything about it is rib-cracking funny to me. It's the sort of over-the-top pedantry that speaks to me as a human.
It's one of the few times I would say that the host didn't get lucky for landing the job, but the company. BDG is hilarious, and is the only reason I'm subscribed.

Sonic is not legally allowed to cry. There are multiple instances in the Sonic comics that he should be crying, but he isn't. Drafts show him crying, but the published peices are just him being mildly upset. So the whole Kentober thing won't work because Sonic legally can't be distressed or cry.
Isn't it because this one guy who used to work on Sonic comics works on his own comics based on Sonic ones and trademarked everything in his works so heavily that he made it so SEGA can barely go anywhere with Sonic end that he can't even cry? I forget how exactly he did all of it though
