Honestly, I laughed when I heard this coming from a DIY Infitary 3D printer. That took me about 4-5 hours to build with loads of screws and cables to connect. Building the Kobra today was a breeze and I was printing in about 30 mins. Fantastic printer and great quality and features for the money. No need to even level the bed its a dream compared to my old one.

100% agree. Obviously, he's never had to assemble an Anet A8. The assembly I found extremely easy and I've been printing non-stop without having many issues. These are lame things to be upset about. Having the filament up top in my opinion can cause you some problems, like ghosting. This printer is less than 300 bucks, so to complain about materials is ridiculous. The amount of awesome stuff you get out of the box at this price point is ridiculous. Auto bed leveling, an awesome build plate, fast printing, good cooling and nice stability. I can't complain at all!

Your video doesn't make any sense , as your title says .
    "Why you should stay away"
I agree with your title but for one reason only ; why we should stay away from your videos !! Don't make a video with that kind of title unless you actually have genuine reasons for people to stay away from that printer ! You only just starting using it ! Also you must be hopeless with tools and putting things together as I own the same printer and had no problems putting it together.
The only thing I can agree on is the Neptune 4 pro is faster but It also runs klipper . Neptune 4 pro has had issues of its own ; one being the Computer board that's used is cheap and has caused some issues in some early machines. However that hopefully has been fixed since it was in the pre-release machines.
I haven't had any issues with my Kobra 2 which I have had for over 2 months now ! Printing fine !

So much wrong about the video.. The top bar is a standard piece from anycubic which is also on the kobra go, that's why there are those 2 screw holes uptop. It's not because they want u to have upgradability but because they are lazy and it is standard.
To not have bed leveling knobs means if the bed or gantry is tilted u can't adjust it and auto bed leveling can only do so much. The nozzle isn't perfectly perpendicular to the plane then and sometimes it will show.
What do you need a spatula for when the prints are self releasing when they cool? Plus if u don't want to wait on that u can just pick the pei springsteel plate up and flex it slightly and the print just pops off even when it's still at 60°C. With a spatula u would most likely damage the pei bed.. that's why they don't ship one with it.
If u really wanna use one then print urself one from pla which then can't scratch and permanently damage ur bed.
Also the firmware of the kobra 2 is indeed marlin.
Furthermore.. why would u want "more premium parts" to house the moatherboard..? It's plastic so it doesn't conduct electricity when something breaks on u.. plus it would make it more heavy if it was say.. aluminium and it would be way more expensive for nothing but ur piece of mind added that it's not made of plastic..?
And ur being happy about 36 point bed leveling.. as if it were some competition and better than a printer that just has 25 point.. when u can just go into the firmware and adjust to however many points per axis u like..
U said u were unhappy about assembly too.. one just has to put the z axis assembly into the bottom with 4 screws and then put on the printhead with another 4 screws which was not so easy as u said.. th-cam.com/video/WKkEUVa8OxI/w-d-xo.html timestamp: 0:38
Just tell me what's not easy about that..
But I have more.. u stated, that u don't understand why there is no tool drawer. While partially true, that maybe theres some space in the front left - not quite sure about the size of the moatherboard BUT the moatherboard is in the front right and not in the back like u said. In the back is the power supply which has to go somewhere too and unlike creality printers it's not behind the z axis towering over the printer.. :)
While I really appreciate getting news on newer printers I feel like u maybe should have done some research before boasting out mostly wrong stuff.. dunno.

What? the extrusion head was the easiest part to install? 10 screws total on the whole build i'm pretty sure. Had the test files printing in less than 30 minutes for two of them. Rating it 0 is harsh just because of user skill issue and no tool tray lol - considering it's printing just as intended.

I very much doubt it takes anywhere near 400W. I have the Kobra 2 Neo that comes with the same 400W PSU and NEVER takes more than 200W. Try actually measuring things instead of making assumptions. It makes you look a lot more credible.

This PRINTER is crap. The whole printer is junk not just one part. It was a BETA printer for the KOBRA 2 PRO and PLUS which fixed MOST (not all) the issues of the Kobra 2. The ALPHA test model was the NEO and GO versions. Sad machine. Not Klipper compatible. Leveling senor is JUNK! Why do I say that? I OWN ONE and dealt with ALL OF THIS......
    1) Extruder Motor FAILED 1 MONTH IN REPLACEMENT HEAD SENT
    2) Z Offset NEVER stores FIRST LAYER FORGET ABOUT IT STILL HAVING ISSUES storing Z offset after CRAPPY leveling or regular leveling as Anycubic would call it
    3) Mainboard Fan FAILED GOT SENT A NEW ONE
    4) Power Supply FAILED GOT SENT A NEW POWER SUPPLY
    5) Z belt guide clips CAME MISALIGNED out the box FIXED MYSELF
    6) Heater block HEAT CREEPS on higher temp materials. WAS REPLACED with the NEW PRINTHEAD for the EXTRUDER
    7) Metal Wheels SQUONKING on the Y axis no mater how much or how little tension you put on the eccentric nut OR adjust acceleratios. STILL NO RESOLUTION
    8) Mainboard FAILED and replaced TWICE. REPLACED TWICE
    9) ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSE TIME (9 to 12 day response time in September and October 2023)
I get it. I haven’t paid MUCH into this printer due to parts being provided (almost a month later in one case) to me. Who wants to KEEP calibrating their printer. I love modding printer but this isn't modding it mahiem. 7 pin jst connectors on the motherboard using anywhere from 2 to 4 ports on THOSE 7pin connectors. WHY???? SO you have proprietary connections to your carp motherboard. So i can't just swap for an aftermarket (better) board without rewiring the entire machine.
I own 21 printers and I have ONLY ever given up on THIS printer. I have had some crappy printers before BUT you fix them and then they work. You don't keep having to replace the same parts over and over again. I have been TRYING to get my money back but ANYCUBIC has been giving me the run around with replacement parts that keep failing but not willing to accept the printer back. 5 months into a 12 month warranty.
This Printer COMBINED with Anycubics customer service and WAIT time on replacement parts is ridiculous. It is also the reason I have gone with EVERY other brand out there and STILL have had better experiences even if the printer was a piece of crap but could be fixed. I just want my money back so I can go buy a different REAL printer. Oh yeah and if your interested in the KOBRA 2 PRO, PLUS OR MAX you can't RUN standard klipper. Its locked down too. You have to use their APP to print WIRELESSLY or through thier PRUSA skined Slicer.
    Me and ANYCUBIC......done!
I received a Faulty Ankermake m5c and they OFFERED A REPLACEMENT or Money back. ANYCUBIC "...we will send you a replacement part when it becomes available."

Four Screws for the Print Head: Partially put in the upper two screws with the head in your hand, hang it on the crossmember since the screws are not "through hole", then put in the two "through hole" screws, since you still have wiggle room. Finally, tighten all four screws down.

I stumbled across this review because the Kobra 2 is currently going for $230, so $30 cheaper than a Neptune 4 (which is out of stock in my country anyway), $70 cheaper than a Neptune 4 Pro, and $30 more expensive than the new Ender 3 V3 SE. So given the new pricing arrangement, do you still think it's not worth it?
It does look like Anycubic are gearing up for a "v2" of the Kobra 2 alongside the Plus and Max variants and so are getting rid of stock of the existing Kobra 2. I'm tempted to jump on it largely because it's cheap and available now.

I got a Kobra 2 Pro and I'm sending it back. Yeah, they could have made the print head enclosure easy to put on, and it looked like that was the point, to put the two top screws in the enclosure and hang it on the base and then screw the bottom two screws in. But it doesn't work like that! You actually have to hold the enclosure on the base and then screw in the screws. Another thing that is screwed up is putting the print head cable right in front of the filament spool! WTF? And the two reasons I"m sending it back is because 1) it doesn't have a standard volcano print head and 2) changing the filament is a huge pain in the ass! Also I don't like the new menu. The old Anycubic menu was much better. I did two prints and they both failed. The filament just got stuck after a few minutes and quit extruding.

I have the Vyper and it has always had a lot of quirks and reliability issues. I'm also kinda erked that it's far cheaper than the Vyper ($330 when it was new) but basically the same except direct drive. The price makes this one tempting but I think I'm gonna pass and stick with Creality.

I have a Neptune 4 Pro on preorder. Ten days and so far nothing but an order confirmation. I chose that printer over the Kobra 2 partly because of a perception of better overall quality from Neptune but mostly because I'm not a fan of the side fed filament and the reverse Bowden tube on the Kobra 2 series. The filament reel on the left side doesn't work for me, and I print a LOT of TPU, which prints much better when fed vertically, directly into the extruder and not through a tube, although I could feed the filament directly from above without much hassle.
Those are largely the same reasons I'm waiting for Sovol or Elegoo to release a large format Klipper based 3D printer with all steel motion control components, probably in a month or two. Anycubic beat them to the market with the Kobra 2 Max, but I think I'll wait. I'm also put off by Anycubic neutering Klipper. I want the full implementation of Klipper.

    • @omegadeepblue1407
      @omegadeepblue1407 ปีที่แล้ว

Both Elegoo and Anycubic have the same level of quality, but you made the correct choice because elegoo is seen as a "cheat code" for TPU, their extruders are a custom version of Creality's sprite extruder and even can take the softest TPU like a champ.
And i don't recommend you a Sovol that is not on it's standard size, both Mingda and Sovol always manage to be flawed on it's bigger designs (just that in the case of Sovol they managed to be flawed before going max size with the SV07, no more "prusa killer" reputation for them).

@@omegadeepblue1407 - Elegoo announced the Neptune 4 Plus and Max a week ago, but I'm still waiting on the Pro versions with steel rails. I've printed thousands of trouble free hours with acetyl V rollers on an SV01 without even adjusting the rollers, but I think a larger format printer will produce more stress on the motion control components.

@@garylangford6755- I've only been using my new Neptune 4 Pro for a week or so, but it's seen a lot of use and I like it a lot. Klipper is a game changer. I can't see not having web based control and monitoring of a 3D printer again. The PEI build plate is very nice although I don't remove it after a print. The magnetic steel sheet just makes it easy to flip or replace when it eventually becomes damaged. I'm not printing a lot faster than before to ensure strong parts but I'm getting better quality prints.

It's so unfortunate that for every feature that is good, it has 2 more that set it back. Really thought that this printer would be a competitor for the Neptune 4, but it doesn't seem close.
