  • We have been curious about all of the amazing exotic tropical fruits we have seen but have never tried. So all three of us have decided to try them together and see how we like thema nd compare notes. I also try Durin The King of Fruit for the First Time. Does it make me puke?? Watch and see.

      We did that on purpose. We both shared out footage with each other to see if the videos would be any different. I haven't seen theirs yet.

      That's basically what I did and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I can't wait to try some of the fruits I missed or were just not in season yet.

    The first black looking like cherry fruit is called Java plum.

      That was a very odd fruit. Because of the colour we were all expecting something very sweet and not the sour/bitter combination. I have since tried it with the chili concoction and it was way better. Good to know the name now. Thanks.

      I'm excited for you. I remember the feeling of when I left Canada. I can't believe how much my life has changed in six months.

    Great video as usual. Would like to see more vids with other expats

      Collaborations are fun for sure. I have a bunch more videos coming up with friends. Many of the expats I've met have not really shown any interest in the camera and I will never force my camera on them. If anyone shows interest and wants to chat on camera, I'll happily film it.

    There is one thing that you can try. You can boil the seed of the jack fruit for like 15 minutes. It's edible with texture like chestnut. There is a hint of sweetness in it. Give it a shot when you get large seeds.

    • @FrugalWanderer
      @FrugalWanderer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ooh. Now that sounds interesting. I do enjoy a chestnut every now and again and to have.a slight sweetness with that texture would be cool. Thanks for the tip.

    Msngosteen, Durian , Custard apple, Logan Soursap, and jack fruit are my favorites.,, Java plum is good with 🌶️ chili concoction…

      @FrugalWanderer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree with your list except I have not tried the custard apple or fresh soursop (I have had the juice though)

      @@FrugalWanderer custard/ sweet apple ( look similar to soursop or cherimoya) is not season now. Custard apple is difficult to find in my city, US but readily available during season in Cambodia. Soursop is expensive here in US… Mangosteen and soursop have great health benefits. Custard apple probably has good health benefits but too new in the west and less info…

      I remember seeing many of these fruits in Canada but the flavour here is so much better. Even the ones that were not quite as ripe as we would have liked were fun to eat.

      I could never afford it in Canada and now I have it all the time. I feel very fortunate to have so much fresh fruit available to me all the time here. It is overwhelming at times with how many great options there are

      First had snake fruit when I was in quarantine for five days in Jakarta before moving on to Bali. Very mild. I eat the mangosteen pits. Tastes like nuts.

    You also talked about where you get lots of chicken for a great price, what is the name of that place??
