To answer the question at 20:16, game engines are very jittery things. Even if it doesnt appear like it, the car on screen is always moving. The movement is very small and takes place at the end of the position value's decimal places, but because the motion blur value is set so high it doesnt care that the movement is insignificant and instead blurs it out anyways. The same applies for the grass and trees, which have a moving animation that is picked up by the motion blur.
I think this is now my favorite "Let's break a game" video. Everything is clear and cleanly edited, and the content is super interesting. Absolutely love it!
I suspect the reason why the car didn't slide around at low speeds with negative friction, is because of Static Friction. When the tires have grip, they don't slide around on the ground at all, they are fixed or constrained. Friction wouldn't affect this. As soon as one of the tires slips, dynamic friction takes over. With a negative value, this increases the relative speed of the two objects (Tires and Ground), causing the vehicle and wheel speed to accelerate rapidly and violently.
One thing on the topic of beamng's limits is how far can you push the 1.5 pbr emissive values in the material editor in the f11 menu. I often put in negative values and they make cool neon colors that change and shift depending on the angle you look at them but I've never had the nerve to turn it all the way up or all the way down as I don't want my pc to explode or something. It's definitely cool and worth checking out tho.
Thank you for this very entertaining video. :D Some of the scenes made me laugh VERY hard. I did not ~exactly~ laugh my a$$ of... with the PROPER settings though, I recon this is entirely possible. o_0 Investigations in that regard are continuing. ^^
what did the sunsets look like with different Rayleigh scattering? i know that on mars the Rayleigh scattering makes the sky red, and the sunsets blue.

plus, the current pixel ammount wouldnt be enough for such high values.
its crazy how a lot of these aren't glitches, but instead what would actually happen if physics were changed in these ways. great vid

I can now imagine a horror mod for BeamNG that just randomizes the mie scattering and raleigh scattering values.
From 8:25 the Snail looking creature that is the engine and the transmission slowly crawling away onto it's own journey was my favourite 🤣
I now have much more respect for the fact that the game doesn't randomly do this...
little do we know that they simulated the entire earth formation and ecosystem to make their maps.
I feel like beamng is such an easy game to break. Modding the game really isnt that hard, and all it takes is a bad mod to break the game.
Yeah, but without using mods, Beamng is a fairly stable game, you have to poke around a bit to actually Break unmodded beamng
@@LXIShorts yeah that's very true
beam ng glitches always amaze me its like what if you seen them in real life. inspirational for a animation or movie somthing
17:09 that a fucking pov for a guy drinking every single alcohol and drug in one single time

Very good job with the explanations! My smooth brain was actually able to comprehend it all!
I am very happy I got this recommendation. I loved the bit at the end where it was just clips of you messing around and having fun.
6:19 Ayo brake boosting in BeamNG lol
Now make a world record by downloading 100k+ mods on beamng 💀💀💀
am i the only one who is disgusted and gets goosebumps/tingling when i see whatever satanic creation the “eldritch abomination” is
Very interesting idea, definitely gonna make the big valley map (forgot its name) into the moon
