And to make matters worse, some mods were corrupting my game and breaking textures on my maps. overall beamng is a lot of fun when it acts right without issues @marshvif

You forgot one :) When you are on menu and go to a map to spawn, there's a very rare chance to not spawn on map but reentering the menu again. And when you try the second time, it repeats. To fix it, just close the game and open it again and it's fixed.

More than a few times I’ve joined the police in pursuing reckless AI (while I was in a police vehicle), and yet occasionally they will go after me with a prejudice. I’ve also had a few times where a cop car brake-checked me on the highway or merged into my lane while adjacent to me, then proceeded to flash their lights at me and ticket me for a police collision. “You can drive away now…”
Here’s a pain: I join BeamNG, but as soon as I do, my car bursts into flames. It happens every time I change something in the config, spawn a new car, load into the game-you name it! I have to restart the car a whole buncha times to make it stop. This is very annoying with all cars. Even mods. 😢
there is a lack of some original vehicle file and also the remastering of some car in the game as was the case with the ibishu BX. When a car is remastered the old version of it becomes completely outdated after the remaster, I do not recommend downloading a mod from an old version of a car that has been remastered unless you want to download the legacy versions.

If you use the AI UI app you can control their risk level

New pain: When you're making a new car build in the garage and you accidentally hit that new reset button and you have to start all over again
The biggest pain is when beamng has an update or your pc dies and removes all your mods n zips and you have to get them all back is painful
