Hi Sorin, I repair every day lot of dells. Keep in mind: After you take out the battery or better you reset the bios battery the Dell Systems Turms on and off 2 times. After je reboots 3rd time than you will See Dell Logo and he starts clean. Regards from Germany
It booted up at 19:45. Maybe it only has a veeeery slow first bootup after cmos reset. Btw I think this laptop is well built. You can change the keyboard without opening and I like how the display hinges are 3 way anchored, one screw moved inside giving more leverage strenght.
It is a good Repair dont worry! Whe al did see you clean the water damage and it starts up. Only you did not see it but it did . Thank you for the nice video.
maybe some wired mosfet problem, like mosfet not letting correct voltage out. i had this happen to me on Accer laptop. the DVD drive had a problem, sometime not working, sometime working. when I check the voltage on the mosfet near to the dvd drive, it not outputting 5volt, but on the input side of the mosfet is fine 5volt. so I remove those mosfet and solder the wire, and it working fine after that.
whenever i try to apply ampheres on a shortage either the chipset, cpu or the gpu are the ones gettin hot.. i have 2 board here that have a shortage on the ground both does the same thing.. i like watching your videos you make difficult job makes looks easier and simplier to repair :)
Hi i have a dead motherboard power adapters working,dc jack got power, power connector from motherboard got power too. Nothing got hot. How can i pin point if chip or transistor is the culprit? I only have a multimeter. But planning to get a dc power supply.pls help thank you very much.
Hello sorin ive got a hard one for you. My laptop motherboard has 19v ok 5v ok 3.3v all ok also 3.3v on power button. i have power led and charging led on. When try to turn on laptop nothing happens and my cpu is always hot when the charger is plugged in. Display and ram both checked working ok. Please any advise
So finally what was the problem? A bios reset by removing the battery or just cleaning the water fixed it?Cause it was not turning on and turned on suddenly! I dont get it....
Has anyone noticed, from 6:49 the machine blinks an error code? 2 short blinks followed by 3 short blinks, then repeat. I don't see very well, but they could be different color blinks also. Check the top right side of the laptop. I know, sometimes it means very generic problem, but sometimes helps to diagnose. I wish everyone successful repairs.
hi serl could you do video on power supplys the type for laptops i got stacks here from maplins there shorting out same just fade out on voltage , just small video on common parts to go ;-)
I think you were mentally too involved in fixing it and not enough explaining what u were doing so I did not get a lot out of this video like I do on your other videos...

E-Repair i think resitting the ram module made the trick.
had water dmg to the ram also so a reset may did the trick yeah!
