  • Dublin is still a beautiful city with plenty of things to see and do. There are plenty of parks where you can sit down and relax. From Stephen Green to the Phoenix Park and may more parks around Dublin. There are 2 canals in Dublin the Royal Canal and the Grand Canal. These are great places to go for a walk and also see nature. Farmleigh and Ashton Castle are great places to visit and have beautiful gardens. Trinity College has nice grounds and is a pleasant place to walk through. The National Gallery is worth visiting and also the Natural History Museum (these did not feature in my video as I do not footage of them). Collins Barracks Museum is worth visiting as is the botanic gardens. All the above locations are free to visit. You do not need to book a tour to visit them.
There are still a great many trendy coffee shops and independent businesses in Dublin. While the public transport generally leaves something to be desired the locations that tourist visits are covered largely by Dart and Luas Lines. In particular the Dart Line covers the posher parts of Dublin lying along the coast. Locations in the Phoenix Park are more difficult to reach by public transport.
Dublin is an expensive city to visit, but this is normal for all capital cities and major cities. I have mainly included locations that can be visited free of charge and there are some other locations that are free to visit that I have not included. But there are also excellent places to visit that are well worth the charge. I would recommend the Tenement Tour in Henrietta Street this covers a lot of Irish History where the tenements came from, what they were like to live in and how tenement accommodation was ended. Dublin Zoo is worth visiting if you like zoos.

The Irish Times Article was far to critical of Dublin. Dublin has a lot to offer and is an interesting city to live in or visit. All cities particularly capital cities can be criticised. But they are worth visiting. Unusually a lot of places worth visiting in Dublin are free of charge, such as many of the museums, national gallery etc.
