Fusiliers Arch Stephens Green Dublin War Memorial

The main entrance to Stephens Green you pass under Fusiliers Arch which is a war memorial to the fallen Irish soldiers in the Boer War. It is strange to find this monument here as so much history unfolded in this part of Dublin and the battles fought here contributed to Irish Independence and the Irish State. War memorials should not be devisive they should remind of the fallen of and the tragedy that is war and hopefully in the future we can avoid these wars. 20 Million (20'000000 people were killed in World War 1 and 100000 were killed in the Boer War.
