The obvious explanation for Bloxx is that in the Ben 10 universe, Ole Kirk Christiansen (the founder of LEGO) was a Plumber who met a Segmentasapien, and when he retired and and founded The Lego Group, that Segmantasapien was the inspiration for LEGO blocks.
My headcanon was that they are manufactured beings like the galvanic mechamorphs. Except that the segmentasapiens are so few that azmuth put their dna in the omnitrix cause they are basically an endangered species

the only good ones imo were Rath and Four Arms, Lodestar looks the same, XLR8, Upchuck and Cannonbolt don't look good at all and Big Chill looks the worst

Yeah, the Omnitrix positioning is the only problem I actually have with it. There are some aliens where putting the symbol on the shoulder works, but Cannonbolt just doesn’t.
7:13 Fun fact: UAF ghostfreak actually had TWO designs. The second design is seen in the episode where Ben heads inside the Ultimatrix. I personally prefer that one since he looks more creepy then the OG.
remember when old ghostfreak used to show whats inside offscreen to scare people? thats why i liked that design more. im a fan of horror genre and fear of the uknown is really up there. never knowing what he actually looked like was part of its scariness for me. the gray was just the fake skin he uses to hide the true self
Best Gwen design, og The ultimate alien force ones were just school uniform with different colors. The second one with the black vest and pants was a nice change but wish there was more to it. Plus her hair should have been bright orange like before Omniverse had a good new outfit that mixed the school uniform asthetics with the og colors. Bbbuuuttt not a fan of the haircut and glasses like.... why does she have them now?
I'm honestly surprised they didn't talk about any of the mid-blosom designs for Swampfire. I honestly think his first mid-blossom stage is the best he's ever looked.
@@pn2294 I always wondered what a Galvan transformation of Max would be like. Cause the Omnitrix calculates the ideal amount of years a Galvan can work for the users age. E.g. Ben is 16 years old but Grey Matter is a few hundred years old as a counterpart. So if Max turned into a Galvan, wouldn’t he be on the same level as Azmuth?
You have no idea how happy I was when Kellen brought up Reboot Humungousaur! Imo it's the only alien that was significantly improved by the reboot, going from just a humanoid dinosaur that grows bigger (before the writers forgot) to a humanoid dinosaur with an ankylosaur tail that unleashes sonic booms on impact. Plus the black spikes on his back add just enough detail and colour to break up his otherwise bland brown body.
About the Humongosaur being literally a man-shaped dinosaur: In the Italian dub, Humongosaur is known as "Omosauro". A combination of "Uomo" (man) and "Dinosauro" (dinosaur). HUMONGOSAUR IS LITERALLY CALLED "DINOSAUR MAN" IN ITALIAN.

29:00 I legitimately had NO idea Eatle was supposed to be a beetle before the Omniverse redesign. In UAF I thought he was some sort of robot shark/rhino creature and his name didn’t clue me in on what he was cause I thought it was a condensed version of “eat all”. It blew my mind when I finally realized he was supposed to be a beetle and I have the Omniverse design (my favorite Eatle design) to thank for that.
Honestly i love Ghostfreaks OV design and the implications: The Omnitrix is trying to constrain the Ectonurite DNA (since it has a tendency to become Z'Skayr) so the chains are literally preventing the DNA from escaping again. I understand why the green color isnt appealing, but if you consider the implications of the design then you start to appreciate it a lot more
Yeah! OV's design changes were the best when they had in story reasons. Just like with upchuck having subspecies, or bulfrags dna being from before uncerseans planet blew up and ship gravity made most of them wimpy.
the suits and belts on Omniverse never bothered me because i always saw it as an extension of Bens state of mind, Classic it was pure alien and the Omnitrix went to the most optimal spot as it always does, in UAF Ben saw himself as more of a plumber and always had the Omnitrix on his chest like a badge no matter what, and for Omniverse every alien felt like they had their own superhero costumes because Ben wasn't just a plumber he was also a full time superhero. P.S i like Omniverses ghost freak the best because the chains make it look like the Omnitrix is keeping him at bay and from taking control of Ben like he's done before.
I just felt like the clothes help add a bit more personality. Plus it IS odd that most of the aliens are just out in the nude. Like Rath. Just that a good chunk of aliens if they are civilized SHOULD have clothes to some degree.

I actually love the chains on ghostfreak! To me it always felt like that was to represent that Z’skayr couldn’t come out that way, leaving it fully in ben’s control.
My personal headcanon is that for aliens like Jurryrig, the Omnitrix rearranges the molecules in Ben’s clothes to create new clothes (and goggles) for the alien. And that's why the belt thing is on most aliens 30:27
I mean that's always been the case since classic, is just that it was more subtle and the texture tried to fit the users clothes. But in this case is just a leap.
Honestly I would love a similar thing with what happened with upchuck to be applied to shocksquatch, it just makes sense for them to be subspecies with such different designs
What get's me conflicted about shocksquatch design is that in OV his proportions actually match up to fisks, the Sasquatch from the secret saturdays. Which might feed into the idea that they're actually related, an interesting concept if it was ever explored but I don't think it is. With heroes united shocksquatch being it's own unique thing is really cool though... The subpecies thing could be a solution, though I feel like it would beed more story explanations
Well a showcase episode of their planet similar to upchuck's would do a good job to explain it, maybe one lives in more colder regions and one more forested, so heroes united acts as a yeti reference on top of a sasquatch one. But since people were much more likely to only see the OV version I doubt they ever had ideas for it, although I would be interested in seeing the OV design in heroes United colours

I love Way Big's second set of eyes in his classic design. They make sense, when you're so much bigger than literally everything else in the universe you need to be able to see what's below you at all times.
IMO OV Waybig is best, theres barely competition! Classic one is still good, but slightly too messy & UAF one is WAY too simplistic, while OV one is best of both worlds, it looks INSANELY cool!!!
Humungousaur became just a big lizard when they stopped using his size changing power! All the extra details and everything with the scales forming was pretty unique, and they just acted like it didn't exist from UA forward.

I have the headcanon that the chains on Ghostfreak in omniverse were created by the omnitrix as a way to restrain the ectonurite dna or Zs'Skayr's personality from taking over Ben again.
6:36 I didn't like OV Ghostfreak until the after they visited Anur Transyl. The chains fit seeing how the other Ectonorites on Anur Transyl looked with chains, nooses, ropes, and those old fashion wooden head and hands trap thing. The only thing I might change on OV Ghostfreak is making the chains a bit more grey.
Chromastone's Omniverse redesign is apparently supposed to be a Gundam reference. And the reason he didn't appear much (and got a redesign) is because Cartoon Network told them not to use aliens that had low toy sales much (which is why Brainstorm and Chromastone only got two appearances, because their toys didn't sell during AF/UA).

Considering how for a lot of the designs each of you liked certain aspects of certain designs, would be cool if you made a video series where you all create designs of alien forms that includes the best of all designs across all series. Kind of like for each alien you come up with an overall ink tank approved design for each of the aliens, that includes the best or most liked of each alien design from each series.
Actually OV Jury Rigg’s attire is a reference to a legend originated from British ace pilots during WWII according to which gremlins messed with airplanes in the air and caused malfunctions and crashes, that’s the reason why he wears a flight suit

I'm not the biggest fan of the Chromastone "clothes" on him. & Neither am I the biggest fan of Chromastone being a Petrosapien god, pretty much, I'd rather him be a resident of Petropia, like Humonusuar & Astrodactyl are both inhabitants of Terradino (I think thats what its called)!
Just a slight thought, what if Albedo's ultimate's ended up different in omni because he put them through different simulations or maybe just made them "evolve" for a longer time.
nice theory, what if everytime Ben/Albedo use ultimate evolution feature it can cause constant changes of the designs, considering that with each simulation dna can adapt/ improve different ways to evolve. This may be used for ultimate humongosaur and spidermonkey. They have their own changes. Omniverse humongo adapts more into armor for tank way to survive making his muscles merge/change into metalic muscles and spidermonkey may evolve from having stilt spider legs into multiple gorrila legs for maximising potential streght.
There was an episode of UAF where we saw different coloured Necrofriggian/Big Chill and while I like Ben’s blue version, I like the natural white version as it makes sense for a species that exists in snow and cold.

I respect the Classic series for going all out with the designs. Almost every single OG design knock their makeover out of the park, or atleast isn’t surpassed. I honestly think only UAF Diamondhead was a real improvement over the classic version but it’s only because Diamondhead is a pretty simple looking transformation to begin with, so unlike the other aliens, there weren’t any special touches to overlook

I had a discussion the other day when I was watching OV for the first time and saw heatblast. It is actually a strong possibility OV is an in-between of classic and 10k. Maybe as he gets older the shoulder pads morph into the volcanoes.
Could you guys do the design rating but for Ben 10's side characters?, It could be pretty fun to see you discuss all yhe different variants of characters like Kevin, Gwen, Ben and Max but also side characters like the Plymbers helpers, Azmuth, Argit, Etc. I for one would get a blast out of a video like that!
Tbh, Clockwork is the only alien I would say didn't change enought to be considered a different designe, just matched the artstyle. Both have their visually pleasing elements, but they are almost the same for me😅

The OV Four Arms doesn’t just feel like “big red guy”, the extra pecks and arms coming from the armpits feel more unique. Which is pretty difficult to do for an alien who’s pretty much just a big red guy with extra arms.
I personally like the idea of ov ghost freak having chains because it suggests that z’skayrs dna is still not completely separate even after asmuth changes that in UA, my head cannon is that although asmuth fixed personalities being generated in UAF, ghost freak or zkayr is still able to use his piece of dna inside the omnitrix and that the chains are there to prevent z’skayr from emerging and taking over again
I've always loved the OG Series designs, its the perfect representation of how Ben 10 should look, but l also have some appreciation for some of designs in AF/UA and OV.

Ben is 16 years old but Grey Matter is a few hundred years old as a counterpart. So if Max turned into a Galvan, wouldn’t he be on the same level as Azmuth?

You have no idea how happy I was when Kellen brought up Reboot Humungousaur! Imo it's the only alien that was significantly improved by the reboot, going from just a humanoid dinosaur that grows bigger (before the writers forgot) to a humanoid dinosaur with an ankylosaur tail that unleashes sonic booms on impact. Plus the black spikes on his back add just enough detail and colour to break up his otherwise bland brown body.

29:00 I legitimately had NO idea Eatle was supposed to be a beetle before the Omniverse redesign. In UAF I thought he was some sort of robot shark/rhino creature and his name didn’t clue me in on what he was cause I thought it was a condensed version of “eat all”. It blew my mind when I finally realized he was supposed to be a beetle and I have the Omniverse design (my favorite Eatle design) to thank for that.
Honestly i love Ghostfreaks OV design and the implications: The Omnitrix is trying to constrain the Ectonurite DNA (since it has a tendency to become Z'Skayr) so the chains are literally preventing the DNA from escaping again. I understand why the green color isnt appealing, but if you consider the implications of the design then you start to appreciate it a lot more
Yeah! OV's design changes were the best when they had in story reasons. Just like with upchuck having subspecies, or bulfrags dna being from before uncerseans planet blew up and ship gravity made most of them wimpy.
Also, Ghostfreak having chains is fitting because of how the other Ectonorites on Anur look. It matches the fashion.

the suits and belts on Omniverse never bothered me because i always saw it as an extension of Bens state of mind, Classic it was pure alien and the Omnitrix went to the most optimal spot as it always does, in UAF Ben saw himself as more of a plumber and always had the Omnitrix on his chest like a badge no matter what, and for Omniverse every alien felt like they had their own superhero costumes because Ben wasn't just a plumber he was also a full time superhero. P.S i like Omniverses ghost freak the best because the chains make it look like the Omnitrix is keeping him at bay and from taking control of Ben like he's done before.
I just felt like the clothes help add a bit more personality. Plus it IS odd that most of the aliens are just out in the nude. Like Rath. Just that a good chunk of aliens if they are civilized SHOULD have clothes to some degree.

My personal headcanon is that for aliens like Jurryrig, the Omnitrix rearranges the molecules in Ben’s clothes to create new clothes (and goggles) for the alien. And that's why the belt thing is on most aliens 30:27
I mean that's always been the case since classic, is just that it was more subtle and the texture tried to fit the users clothes. But in this case is just a leap.

What get's me conflicted about shocksquatch design is that in OV his proportions actually match up to fisks, the Sasquatch from the secret saturdays. Which might feed into the idea that they're actually related, an interesting concept if it was ever explored but I don't think it is. With heroes united shocksquatch being it's own unique thing is really cool though...
The subpecies thing could be a solution, though I feel like it would beed more story explanations
Well a showcase episode of their planet similar to upchuck's would do a good job to explain it, maybe one lives in more colder regions and one more forested, so heroes united acts as a yeti reference on top of a sasquatch one. But since people were much more likely to only see the OV version I doubt they ever had ideas for it, although I would be interested in seeing the OV design in heroes United colours

I love Way Big's second set of eyes in his classic design. They make sense, when you're so much bigger than literally everything else in the universe you need to be able to see what's below you at all times.
They brought them back in OV and the Reboot,but they look like metal tubes for some reason now.

Humungousaur became just a big lizard when they stopped using his size changing power! All the extra details and everything with the scales forming was pretty unique, and they just acted like it didn't exist from UA forward.
By that point, Ben had Way Big back, so there wasn't much use for Humungousaur's growing power.

The chains fit seeing how the other Ectonorites on Anur Transyl looked with chains, nooses, ropes, and those old fashion wooden head and hands trap thing. The only thing I might change on OV Ghostfreak is making the chains a bit more grey.

Chromastone's Omniverse redesign is apparently supposed to be a Gundam reference. And the reason he didn't appear much (and got a redesign) is because Cartoon Network told them not to use aliens that had low toy sales much (which is why Brainstorm and Chromastone only got two appearances, because their toys didn't sell during AF/UA).

Just a slight thought, what if Albedo's ultimate's ended up different in omni because he put them through different simulations or maybe just made them "evolve" for a longer time.
nice theory, what if everytime Ben/Albedo use ultimate evolution feature it can cause constant changes of the designs, considering that with each simulation dna can adapt/ improve different ways to evolve. This may be used for ultimate humongosaur and spidermonkey. They have their own changes. Omniverse humongo adapts more into armor for tank way to survive making his muscles merge/change into metalic muscles and spidermonkey may evolve from having stilt spider legs into multiple gorrila legs for maximising potential streght.
There was an episode of UAF where we saw different coloured Necrofriggian/Big Chill and while I like Ben’s blue version, I like the natural white version as it makes sense for a species that exists in snow and cold.
They weren’t transformations and the closest we got to them as transformations was freeze-ghost

Almost every single OG design knock their makeover out of the park, or atleast isn’t surpassed.
I honestly think only UAF Diamondhead was a real improvement over the classic version but it’s only because Diamondhead is a pretty simple looking transformation to begin with, so unlike the other aliens, there weren’t any special touches to overlook
would've been peak Diamondhead design if it also got Heroes United Diamondhead's arms and kept the ability to form/grow diamonds
Ultimate swamp fire is a downgrade to the original.

The OV Four Arms doesn’t just feel like “big red guy”, the extra pecks and arms coming from the armpits feel more unique. Which is pretty difficult to do for an alien who’s pretty much just a big red guy with extra arms.

I personally like the idea of ov ghost freak having chains because it suggests that z’skayrs dna is still not completely separate even after asmuth changes that in UA, my head cannon is that although asmuth fixed personalities being generated in UAF, ghost freak or zkayr is still able to use his piece of dna inside the omnitrix and that the chains are there to prevent z’skayr from emerging and taking over again
Zs'Skayr has his own separate body after regenerating in Legerdomain.
I’m pretty open to all the designs, and if I would ever design my own version of any of the aliens, I’d try and draw inspiration from all the versions

I've always been a fan of Derrick J Wyatt's stylized & simplistic artstyle, so my favorite designs are all from Omniverse 😂
I love DJW's art style especially in TFA & Ben 10 OV!!! It looks soo cool! Look at the majority of OV's alien & character designs, they look cool! & look at TFA Prowl, Bumblebee, Optimus, Bulkhead, Ratchet, & literally every TF character, they look so cool!!
I wouldn't say simplistic (some aliens have insane details) more like a comic book/cartoons style.
I think it would be a cool idea for y'all to draw the aliens and characters from memory and compare, it would show how different each of you see the show
the omniverse chromastone reminds me of that famous tf2 workshop cosmetic submission for scout that was immediately rejected for not fitting the art style

Chains on ghostfreak are awesome if you think of it as the omnitrix making sure Ben is in control of that transformation
Omniverse jury rigg is one of my favorite aliens I love his design his vibe and the fact that he's basically just another smart alien but doesn't act like one is cool
I always thought figured OVs big shoulders on heatblast was the start of his shoulder volcanos forming with age
