Q&A:
1. Wasn’t Devlin Levin and everything about Osmosians Retconned?
Technically, yes, but it's IMPOSSIBLE to talk about Ultimate Alien and most of Kevin's past without it. To keep the timeline clear, I treat everything Osmosian that happens in the series as fact, until 35:11 when Ben recreates the universe, and things are different. The only way the timeline makes sense is if the Osmosian Retcon is only true after the Uni-Reboot, or else practically all of UA falls apart.
2. How did Ben receive Upgrade if he wasn’t created until 2007?
Mechamorphs were not created in 2007. The Malware-incident was in 2007.
3. How did the Omnitrix blow up in front of Vilgax but not destroy the universe?
The first time the SDM was activated, the charge built for four days, which gave it enough time to destroy the universe. When Ben purposefully activates it, he only lets the charge build 30 seconds, which was only enough to destroy the Omnitrix itself.
4. Ben 10k is supposed to be 46, not 36, at 39:56. I believe that is the only actual mistake in this version of the video. My bad.

With Osmosian retcon it makes more sense considering Max didnt know about Kevin in the Original Series and then when it came up in Alien Force people should have questioned why he didnt know him at the time and Hatchet in Ultimate Alien already married Kevin's mom before Kevin was even 11 years old and Kevin was kicked out by them for demolishing their house so in comparison it means Hatchet could have already been Kevin's dad but he and Max were forced to believe his real father was Devin Levin and it was confirmed Aggregor was a former test subject of the Rooters and Ragnarok is a former member lf the Rooters
To correct you on that one Azmuth created the Galvanic Mechamorphs alot earlier than the Malware incident because Ben 10 Destroy all Aliens is considered canon since Way Big vs Evil Way Big destroys lots of property and opens up an opportunity in which Undertown is created and Azmuth made a Galvanic Machamorph armor before and his father wears it to kill the Evil Way Big. And it takes place obviously after Secrets of the Omnitrix but before any of his 11 year old flashbacks

For those of you who don't know why "No Watch" Ben is being hunted: It's because he's an unknown variable. Not having an Omnitrix means that he is unlike any other Ben in the multiverse, so anything could happen. Plus, he's the only Ben unaffected by the Chronosapien Time Bomb
He's unaffected because the timebomb was set to destroy every universe outside of it, and No omnitrix means easy galactic domination according to Vilgax

Ben 10 will always be my favourite tv/movie universe. It carried me through primary school, middle school, high school and is now taking me through university. Such an amazing franchise, even the reboot is pretty damn good.

I love this story. The fact that Ben is technically responsible for the start of his Multiverse, the absolute arc Ben goes on: From a regular kid to the protector of earth to the saviour of the entire universe to creator of the universe each time Ben learning something important.

Even though they likely won't bring the original series back, I think it would be nice to have the reboot bring the original characters for an episode or two, as a crossover event. The reboot series seems to add a few new transformations in each season, so maybe Ben needs to work with his alternate dimension counterparts, and will gain one from each Ben(original, AF(before the Highbreed Invasion), UA, and Omniverse).

I grew up with the OG Series, and sometime during Ultimate Alien I lost interest slowly, and then Omniverse happened, and years later my interest got reignited.
I found this video randomly a few months ago and it totally re-started my Ben 10 kick. Having just finished rewatching the entirety of it, I came back to this video and am blown away by just how accurate, comprehensive, and well done it is. So much good in one video, such an incredible series and incredible job done making this

I have no idea why did the writers go so hard on Ben 10 story, but im glad that they did because i love this, ive never heard about the story of Ben 10, and like, this is way more complicated than i thought, and should be way more complicated, but somehow, even with time travel, different realities and differenet timelines, its actually very easy to understand whats going on, true i had to pause the video at some points (like George Washington being an important figure in the story of the series, it took me a good minute to process that), but its actually really understandable, dont know if its the video, or the writers just did an amazing job

this is one of the rare occasions where a kids show actually has a long and descriptive backstory behind the reasons why everything happens
The story in this is so complex but easy to understand its incredible writing I believe it to be the best story my opinion of course
There are many other examples, most people usually gloss over kids shows though

I was a fan of this show as a kid and recently rewatched the entire series from the original ben 10 to the omniverse. As a kid I didn't realize how awesome the omniverse series was. It has become my personal favourite followed by alien force.

it's hard to believe was was from all the way back in 2019. Been watching nearly every video since, love the breakdowns, And Beyonds etc, been keeping up with 5YL, such a great comic. Ben 10 was one of my faveourite shows growing up, despite the little i got to see of it (few episodes on repeat on CITV when i was young, and then RaT, a handful of classic S2 episodes, and UA episode 1 i end up rewatched frequently. I'm so glad that thanks to this Amazing communtiy, and all of you at the Ink Tank, the original Prime Tennyson ain't forgotten.
Also, thinking about it. Both the real end of Omniverse, as well as what was going to be the next season of Omniverse are both great ends to Ben Prime offically, as much as more was wanted, and perhaps needed (thanks 5YL), Having it end with the prime universe being made at the start of it all, or having it end with the end of a roadtrip with the Tennyson family, are both lovely full loops.

its a casual paradox where you have no idea how it truly started, because you can't jump start prime universe without ben 10 in the beginning
but ben 10 can't exist without the prime universe
Not really, the universe's loop ends in 2012, after that the timelines and can split and have different version with no problem, that's why there are multiple version of ben 10k
Technically only Maltruint is stuck in a time loop, we are led to believe that ben continues to fight him until adulthood where he sends his past self into the past to kill maltruint, who is at the end of the time loop, so the universe is freed after that and continues the flow of time, only the past is stuck for a while

My boyfriend recently got me into the 5 Years Later comic after finding and reading it - he initially got into it because Ben 10 is his favorite childhood show. After he told me about the comic, I got into it because it continues Danny Phantom's story and that was my favorite childhood show. After watching this I can understand why he sent me this video instead of explaining the storyline of Ben 10 himself 😂
But watching this does have me interested in the series myself, after I wasn't able to get into it as a kid(ironic, I know lol)

Thank you, I just thought the fact he outright attempted to kill people during the series and probably has a triple digit body count, I think that makes his friendship with Ben and relationship with Gwen like impossible. So I just felt like making his motives more based around stealing instead of hurting, and deliberately trying to impress Gwen as to not be so abrupt when it gets introduced, I felt that’s needed

Thanks again! I’m not confident in the way I said that though, I never was huge on writing so who knows I just fear that Ben, Kevin, and Gwen in UAF were all fairly static and all the lessons they learn often times go out the window in another episode, I think you need to direct a path right away with where to take them in my eyes. Gwen specifically I’m not sure how I’d feel about her having like an inferiority complex toward Ben but I think that would be most consistent with the original series so that’s why I said it

I understand. As a trope itself it works, I like the dynamic just think it ends up getting tiresome with how Ben will always run somewhere, transform, then magically appear when it’s over with, or he’ll transform in broad daylight and no bystanders say a word. If it were kept I’d just want it worked on, it’s not bad I just think it gives me a headache with how it was executed.

Make you hope Ben gets the job done before he times out, it’s not a bad idea I just think it can be simplified. I don’t have a major issue with it, it’s just something that I don’t personally enjoy a ton.

@@chadgunner4403 i stil wish Maltruant was Malware after possesing a Chronosapien (they even have similar color schemes and even similar sounding names). and the interaction wiht one of the pieces of his body caused the original malware to begin with. it still keeps the time loop shenanigans and makes an interesting return for one of omniverse's best villains.
and it would have been an awesome reveal that when maltruant sees the precursor contemelea, he sees himself across many periods of his life.
