Firstly; no problems. Secondly; computer problem buddies. Thirdly; My favorite aliens were always Heat Blast and Upgrade, those 2 have a lot of untapped potential.
My issue with some of the aliens is that they're only needed for very specific situations like Ripjaws so its hard to use him in episodes without water.
@@awsomedude23456 I feel like Ben loved using Ripjaws as much as the fans liked seeing him because literally anytime anything water related happens he immediately tries to turn into Ripjaws even if it doesnt make sense to
I mean, he was the alien Ben used to defeat the Techadon War robot when it first showed up, he can fit under incredibly small spaces, he can control his acidity he's hard to defeat due to his squishy one-celled nature and his regeneration is incredibly strong.
I honestly really like Ball Weevil just because of how different he is compared to most of the other aliens in the roster. Being an insectoid alien with a small size makes him feel unique compared to most other tall and powerful humanoid aliens.
The fact that wildmutt is legitimately not that useful pains me because I love his design so much, same with Stinkfly and Ripjaws. Also weirdly loving the impressions for each alien
I mean he can be used to track some one down. Or lets say you are fight in the dark and you dont want to go with an alien that can light up the place so the enemy can see you. Other then that yeh he isnt all that usefull
@@perapapic3683 then again if Ben was fighting in the dark i would think a huge green flash would alert anyone in a dark room plus Wildmutt is quite loud and tracking someone down you can technically just turn into Clockwork
I don't know, it's not like he's only a dog, he's able to swing around trees like a monkey, he's pretty strong, pretty agile, he has sharp claws and teeth, he could be pretty useful outside of tracking things, though he's most useful as probably the best tracker Ben has.
I get they wanted to do something for OV, but they kinda did Chromastone and Big Chill dirty. Swampfire however made out like a champ in OV even if he lost most of his fights

My favorite alien is the original Big Chill. The way his wings turned into like a cloak was so cool. Plus the intagibility felt really over powered 99% of the time. Second favorite spinturtle, cause i like the hover turtle.
Cant get over that overly buff Big Chill...i guess maybe because that a male Big Chill DNA as opposed to his original Big Chill DNA is female hence having those Small Chills And to better incorporate the DNA restructure transformation and not have any bug or glitch issues where the DNA will overwrite the Omnitrix user to do their own thing Its the whole premise in OG and AF that the Omnitrix was always a prototype and was simply an incomplete product Altho the recalibration did help alot since its internal AI basically taking past experience etc and Ben thoughts, current DNA etc and "perfected" for usage
The best aliens design-wise are usually the ones that aren’t just anthropomorphic or slightly modified versions of earth animals. The original 10 executed that idea pretty well imo.
Disliking and straight hating are different. I'm more irritated people think I have an actual emotional opinion on him beyond just thinking he's nonsensical.
according to the derrick his face taps into the primordial fears locked in all beings' subconscious(as well as just plain nasty) and how his eyes have a trait that makes his already bad eyesight even worse when looking at multidimensional or unknowable sights his face seems to lean into the unknowable because paradox can overcome his fear and can see the face clearly
Another first fact about Cannonbolt is that he was the first alien to have his species name clarified. You’d think Vilgax would’ve mentioned at least one in the season finale, but nope.

Big Chill is my absolute favorite alien. The powerset, the UAF design, and the voice are all great but two things set it above the rest for me. His children give huge potential for stories to be told and I love that. The biggest thing is that he is partially inspired by Mothman, a legendary creature from my home state of West Virginia. That just puts him to the top for me.
Same he's my favorite alien in the alien force, the episode when he was with he's children was beautiful, everytime ben choses him I get goosebumps , I think he's underrated he's the coolest alien + alien x

Wildvine introduced me to flytraps because we dont have such plants in my country. But his concept was overpowered when they released swampfire. He could do everything he can do, even better.

The episode of Omniverse where Brainstorm calculated The Vengers' defeat in the fight and had an entire plan for their downfall post-detransformation cemented him as one of my favorites. I'm also biased to the color red and lightning powers.

Thank you, someone finally said it, they nerfed him just so they can use his ultimate form(which is why l hate the ultimates & ultimate alien show) ,they never had him use his growing power since ben reactivated waybig in alien force.

Something I want to just point out about Jury Rigg is that he's strong enough to take apart pretty much nearly anything he gets his hands on. He's apparently broken stuff even Rath couldn't break. So he's more just situational than anything.
Yeah, but the design is basically: "Little devil thing". It's just so god damn bland and basic. Not to mention Upgrade does everything he can do, but even better.

@@danielsurvivor1372 It used to be in the original: An alien that is clearly alien; oozing originality. You can suspend disbelief and kinda see how the life-form evolved. It having a "superpower" was an add-on benefit. After the original series it became: *insert idea for a superpower* and try to shoe-horn an "alien" around it, which is really just a human but with a couple of tweaks. The main idea and originality of the show died. Jerry Rigg is just one of the end symptoms.
My boy Chamalien gets ignored in the show, and doesn’t even get a segment for this video, but lands in F. One day, you’ll recognize his excellence. Or I’ll admit that I’m biased for chameleons, whatever comes first.

I like the color his eyes had. I think his powers are cool for stealth but you can just use ghost freak or big chill without even worrying about being damaged
I feel like Diamondhead is the best alien. Not only because of his amazing skills and abilities, but because he is one of the most important aliens in the franchise. All the stories with Tetrax and Petropia, love it. And also Diamondhead is the only alien, other than Way Big, to actually defeat Vilgax. So yeah, he is a big deal
Grey Matter has always been my favorite. And I also think there’s a solid argument for him being the best overall (not strongest because…I mean…Alien X exists) because the Omnitrix was invented by his people and we see in “Ken 10” that if Ben had thought to, he could’ve actually used Grey Matter’s intelligence to master the Omnitrix right away. This means through Grey Matter, we would’ve had the right alien choice every time, no time limits on transformations, and access to every sample in the database.
Damn, I really like Gutrot, so seeing him placed in D hurts. I mean, he has an internal lab that mixes chemicals, his voice and mannerisms is a Columbo reference, and voiced by Rob Paulson. He’s really cool!
I kind of agree with Kuro on Atomix for the same reasons. I just feel like if Ben ever had to fight other powerhouses like Goku or Superman, Atomix would be the most entertaining. Way Big is too big for it to be interesting and Alien X is just a whole other can of worms. Atomix is powerful but his powers aren’t that vague and he’s small enough so that it wouldn’t look like Ben is just trying to fight a bird.
Diamondhead is the "best" alien. Of the OS, i'd say XLR8 and Heatblast were the most iconic, but Diamondhead is the most iconic alien in the franchise overall. He has abilities that's more unique to the show, he's one of the most versatile aliens, his species has an interesting backstory, and he defeated Vilgax in one of the most hype returns ever.
@Lloyd fundi yea waybig is cool to, but personally I really enjoyed seeing one of the original 10 actually defeat vilgax its really cool cause of how much the 10 used to struggle with him
@Lloyd fundi Diamondhead is the only one to give Vilgax a physical beatdown. Waybig always throws Vilgax into outer space. He's cool and all but i prefer what Diamondhead did.

Same. They’re kind of basic but all of their powers ticks the remaining missing boxes of Ben’s arsenal, other than electric powers. They have pretty decent designs as well, Water Hazard being my favorite. But NRG is probably one of the more unique one out of the 5.
Theyre my fave bunch :( Terraspin's fan concept is so cool for me as a kid. Especially when he fly like a fidget spinner and like on of those mario turtles.
I really like the unique versatility of their powers: Waterhazard - his exoskeleton is pretty durable Terraspin - he can't be harm by mana NRG - dude can literally become a nuclear bomb Armodrillo - the drill arms Ampfibian - can read minds
@@ardzzz1010 I like them too,, but the problem is those powers rarely have an effect in the show, poor ampfibian has it the worst with his mind reading being straight up forgotten. 99% of the time there powers are being a water gun, being a big fan, digging humongousour, and being yet another electric alien. I genuinely can't come up with one for NRG, because he is genuinely is unique... although his out of suit design is a major let down and is ugly as sin in UAF.

It’s just doesn’t look good in my opinion, like the art style is obviously a huge part of that, but even without that as a factor I simply dislike the head and the stupid shoulder crescents. I also feels there was too much contrast between the strong white and black of his character, and the lavalamp green going on in him
The only ones that I'd heavily want to defend is Amphibian & Echo-Echo. I believe its only used once, but Amphibian can see the electricity in peoples brain effectively making him a mind reader (at least in terms of species with electricity in their brain). Echo-Echo's Ultimate form was strong enough that (BY ITSELF) it was able to defeat an Ultimate Kevin that had absorbed multiple people's powers including Gwen's Mana & ALL of Ultimate Aggregor. But otherwise yeah, Ball Weevil should have been a B.
So feedback literally would’ve been the best alien if they actually introduced him in classic and had what happened happened, there would’ve been realll hype having him return

Bloxx is definitely not the least belieavable alien. Especially considering Echo Echo is a living soundwave in a robot suit who can, for some reason, breathe, speak and duplicate.

They should've made his colour scheme not so similar to the real things(maybe some purples, lime greens, aqua blues or greys) and he would've been more passable. My two favorite aliens in the franchise are in fact Alien X and Way Big. 1. Because I’m 12. But 2. Like you said, they’re really the two aliens where, every time they come out, it’s an event. On the flip side though, over time, they really did just become the litmus test for whether or not Ben was taking the fight seriously.
Chromastone being A tier is enough for me. But as someone who holds Omniverse pretty near and dear, Bloxx is B tier for me, just for how fun he was for me as a kid and in the game.
Usefulness in-universe wise Bloxx is almost S tier. Ppl will dislike his design understandably, but the show and even the Xtinction movie proved how versatile he is.

Honestly, if the OV writers just stated that Bloxx species aren't literally lego type aliens, just some kind of a rock type alien, then maybe OV would be less hated.

It's understandable why Feedback didn't make S-Tier, but it still hurts. He's so cool, that I wouldn't mind it if he was the only alien Ben could turn into, but then he'd just be Static.
I mean, only he could really defeat Malware, and he could over all destroy anything that has any form of electricity, and fighting him in a normal house is more dangerous than fighting him on heat blasts planet

I kinda feel like Ditto does that more. Aside from duplicating and being voiced by Rob Paulsen, what's that special about him? He has average strength and speed and, yeah, he can duplicate but Echo Echo makes him redundant by having sound powers, and his clones can be killed with no repercussions unlike Ditto.
Im so sad goop got that low, he is one of my all time favorites. And it always pissed me off how little Ben used him, despite the fact that almost everytime he did, he kicked ass easily
22:15 I have a personal theory on Bloxx, basically the idea is that his species is made by the Galvans, much like the Mechamorphs, but they're a sort of prototype made by Galvan children. This would explain his building block aesthetic as well as his general shapeshifting powers and the fact he's...well...building blocks as an alien.
I had a similar idea, since galvans created the mechamorphs, why couldn't bloxx be artificially made too? Though it wouldn't necessarily have to be by the galvans too.
My idea was that it's kinda like the Mecha morphs in a way wear they constantly look for a new material to feed to their core wear they had a rock Material into their core but wear there core absorbs it and turns the planet bad the alien into that material but when they found the plastic Lego and replaced the rocks they kept the plastic Legos because the plastic material allowed for them to be able to shapeshift stretch and Regen quite fast which is why they are made of plastic legos

Feedback I feel even though he was designed to be an S tier alien he still is. He's not absolutely overpowered like Alien X. He has a great power set and he was Ben's favorite alien. His design is sick and he has a 2 season Arc. Plus he literally held the entire big bang in his hands. I think he deserves an S tier.
I had wondered why Atomix's design changed so much in 5YL; I guess now I know. Frankly I personally love all the robotic aliens, because alien robots are a time-honored tradition, and I really like how he's constantly yelling out attack names, it's dorky in a very endearing way imo. I think he's actually one of my favorite omniverse aliens.
I love the idea of ChamAlien being a stealth-based transformation bc I like more utility, non-combat forms, but then they go and do absolutely nothing with him and it sucks
@@vishwathayumanavan8777I don't see your point. Ben has used alien forms for stealth plenty of times before Chamalien, like Grey Matter or Ghostfreak, be it for personal gain or actual heroing. It gives Ben more layers to his character, knowing when to run in guns blazing or when to fight smarter, not harder. The problem wasn't the concept itself, but that it wasn't tapped into properly.
@MrWhatdafuBOOM I just meant that utility non combat aliens aren't really Ben's thing just based off of his personality. He always prefers the heavy hitters and very rarely uses strategies from the jump. You only see him use his brain on the spot when he really needs to.
After Omniverse, I kind of thought Stinkfly was weak but after your breakdowns of the original series, I think he is stronger than I gave him credit for.
He was one of the most useful and used in the classic series but I think the reason he fell off in usage is probably because other flyers had more abilities. Big chill especially
@@bastialonso8354 Doesn't Ghostfreak's exoskeleton thingy limit his power? I mean, Zskyr definitely looks stronger outside of it, and Ben always has to have on the exoskeleton, hence making it a weakness(but not in the way I described first).
@@talphazero1036 Yeah without the second skin Ghostfreak is stronger and has more powers like telekinesis and shooting laser beams from his chest. But that also makes him weak to sunlight. I think is smarter to keep the second skin.

Walkatrout is one of my favorite aliens from a design stand point. I say this because he shows that not all of the aliens are meant for combat, and are really there because they are a species that meet the intelligence requirements.
@@zyro7756 if I had to guess they would turn into a person with the body of Batman or Captain America, as they would turn into the peak of the species relative to their age. Also because humans are known for our mild intelligence they would probably have a decent IQ.

I really like the amfibian, armadrillo, water hazard, etc arc. Ben 10 keeps unlocking these new aliens and there is the bounty hunter that hunts them down to become a franken-fusion. Favorite arc. Terraspin is also one of my favorite aliens.
Sad to see a lot of my favorite aliens ranked so low. I came to this realization before, but further into the franchise a lot of the aliens introduced were kind of one-trick ponies; a lot of them have just a singular power with one or two applications, or they're just not fleshed out. Whereas in like, OS or UAF, when there were less aliens to choose from, every alien was treated like they were special, and all got to really show off a lot of versatility (just think of how many different things Heatblast can do vs. say, Crashhopper). I feel like even the gimmicky aliens (most of which I love btw I love the Outbreak aliens) weren't given time to shine past being used for gags or one use, they'd feel a lot more impressive and be a lot less popular to hate on.

Aw man, Im kinda sad about N.R.G. He's always been one of my faves. The idea of this terrifyingly huge, destructive power barely being contained by a layer of steel is so fucking cool, imo
It's super-interesting that you two made this tierlist based on the aliens' iconic-ness in the show. Honestly, I'd love an alternate version where you rank them based on how fun you think they'd be to actually become if you had the Omnitrix!
If I had the Omnitrix I'd definitely try to make creepy legends, like using ghostfreak to haunt people or using blitzwolfer to make subtle appearances in photos.
i'd use Upgrade most of the time because i just love how he looks, the rest of the time using Diamondhead to build stuff and trying to convince Bellicus and Serena to let me erase the concept of gender out of existance

The number of Ben's aliens has changed over time. Some forms were official and were later removed and replaced and some are not even counted. Ben technically has one hundred transformations. That's if you count Ben's ten unused concept forms and the Ultimates.
I’m a big Alien X fan for the simple fact that he’s an OP character done right. I despise all powerful characters. They just suck. However the fact that Alien X has to have an agreement with the others makes him really cool IMO
In my head cannon, in universes where they aren't limited like that one of celestial sapiens simply destroys the matter of the universes. Cuz, you know, one would be enough, don't you think?

Ben outsmarting Vilgax and having him become Goop than stealing the Gravity projector was one of my favorite moments in the series as it shows Ben can solve these kinds of problems creatively. While I do agree that Alien X does make it realistically possible to save the universe , I think some of the threats were made just because Alien X exists. Like the annihilargh for example. If Ben didn't have alien X I don't think the writers would make those kinds of threats. Besides the constant "why doesn't Ben just use Alien X" you see in every other internet post when something happens. Thou I do agree that Ben choosing not to use Alien X is nice. Again, I like Celestial sapiens lore and powers. Just don't think Ben should have one.
@@trickystar4602 I see your point but i think you missed part of mine since i never said that all future conflict would be solved by "big strong alien" since i also loved how Ben did that (but partly hate it since the Omnitrix shouldn't be that easy to just steal) but think about how much a Cosmic being brings for future fans since some people like fights like that (DBZ is an example of battles between beings that can destroy a planet by flinching) but there is also the villains that allow for other aliens to be useful. PS: I liked the Recreation of the universe since Ben decided to keep it as close to the OG as possible instead of making stuff better for him
my head cannon for Bloxx is that one of his species came to earth and the one man who saw what it could do and based Legos off the creature he studied , but that's my head cannon ( helps me believe that Bloxx would be a real species)

I love Ball Weevil just because he’s one of Ben’s only aliens that doesn’t have some manner of humanoid form. You’d think the universe would have a few more sentient bugs or fish or something.
As Ben states in the show Jerry Rig is smart and mischievous. He posses enhanced intelligence his species is probably 3rd smartest after of course the Galvin who are first and the Cerebrocrustations who are second. I love Jerry Rig he's like in my top five favorite aliens
When CN asked the fans what they thought Alien X would look like I said like Space with little quills on his forehead and I cried when i saw I was spot on😭😭
For me I would have put the all the Transylvanian monster aliens in "B". Especially with their redesigns as well as playing bigger roles during the "spooky" half of Omniverse. Also Ballweevil should be in SSSS tier.

Diamond head will ALWAYS be my no. 1. The amount of creativity that can be applied to simple crystal manipulation and generation is staggering while having solid limitations. Way Big is a close number 2, blatantly overpowered but quite situational. My favorite ultimate is Ultimate Humongousaur (Well Ultimate Way Big is an excellent concept.) Alien X will always be one of my least favorites as holy fuck that alien breaks the stakes like college breaks my will to live. Like reality is now, in the words of Vilgax, in the hands of a mere child, without any real restrictions to the reality bending upside while Ben is literally fucking indestructible.
my thoughts with bloxx is he's a super advanced toy from a race in a higher dimension that was left to our dimension and slowly gained sentience to the point of being omnitrix worthy specimens
“The gastro gummy bear.” I mean I love upchuck, but what a way to describe him Ash. Lol. I also think it’s safe to say that Bloxx is to Kuro what jelly filled donuts are to Lost Pause. Aside from that, great vid guys.
As an alien, Greymatter is an A, since honestly, his brilliance is terrifying, since he seems to come preloaded with not just intelligence, but knowledge too. Unfortunately, the series seriously didn't use him.
I’m not really a fan of Nanomech either, but personally I think he deserves a higher rank. Maybe D or C tier instead of F. My reason being, and I could be wrong or the backstory might have changed, is that Nanomech is the first example of the Omnitrix literally CREATING a species. Just like how Kuro liked how Upchuck is a great example of Omnitrix adaptability, Nanomech is a creat example of Omnitrix creation.
If this were my personal list Wildvine and Goop would be in B tier at least. I just love both of their designs and their power sets, wish we could have gotten more of both of them.
Might aswell get my opinion out as i see some other people here have also shared theirs Heatblast - High-Mid A. Iconic and practically the Poster Alien of Ben 10. Wildmutt - Mid-Low C. He didn't deserve an Ultimate form he's still pretty ok though. Diamondhead - Low S - High A. Just plainly awesome. XLR8 - High A-Mid A. The OG Speedster and also just plainy cool. Grey Matter - Low C - High D. small nerd. Fourarms - Low A - High B. Iconic and practically the second Poster Alien of Ben 10 Ripjaws - High B-Mid B. I just hate the fact they hardly had any underwater battles. Upgrade - High A. I love Upgrade and his OG color scheme is something i loved and still do. Ghostfreak - Mid S. My old favorite the first actual episode of Ben 10 i actually watched aside from the Pilot had Ghostfreak in it and i've loved him ever since Stinkfly - Low A - Low B. Never thought highly of him is all Cannonbolt - Low A - High B. God i loved you but your Ultimate really ruined it for me. Wildvine - Mid B. He's ok i definitely like his OG Voice more then his new ones. Upchuck - Low A. Again pretty ok is all but i just like his powers. Blitzwolfer - Mid C. Just eh. Snare-Oh - Mid S. I fuckin love Snare-Oh and i hate how he just wasn't used. Frankenstrike - Low D. Never really like Frankenstein type monsters as i find them as glorified zombies. Ditto - Low C. Sure Heatblast can fly, but Swampfire can regenerate and also cause explosions, oh also his methane gas. And he isn't weak to water or has a natural predator. (atleast not for now.)
@@korallebrutalis6713 The crabdozer could probably also counter swampfire pretty well. We already know that his fire would be useless, and the crabdozer is also extremely powerful and wouldn't have any trouble ripping through his tendrils and mutated plants.
I'd love to see a follow-up version maybe even with more than 2 ink tank members where you all make your own tier lists (maybe recorded separately so we can get a nice montage) and then compare & contrast your lists and see if you can convince each other to change any positions
Diamondhead is the best alien. He's versatile, his design is amazing, and his species was the first one we've seen from another character that Ben also had in his Omnitrix, which was Tetrax. Diamondhead's been my favorite since the original show, and to this day he's still one of the best things to come out of the show. He also kicked Vilgax's ass.
Upgrade is probably one of the most underestimated aliens. And alien that can upgrade and mimic technology living in the digital age, is a hella dangerous combination

My issue with some of the aliens is that they're only needed for very specific situations like Ripjaws so its hard to use him in episodes without water.
Except Heatjaws but they only showed legimately how useless Ripjaws is without water
Plus a lot of the appeal was not knowing which aliens he would use, but if it’s a water episode ripjaws was pretty much always a contender

I mean, he was the alien Ben used to defeat the Techadon War robot when it first showed up, he can fit under incredibly small spaces, he can control his acidity he's hard to defeat due to his squishy one-celled nature and his regeneration is incredibly strong.
I honestly really like Ball Weevil just because of how different he is compared to most of the other aliens in the roster. Being an insectoid alien with a small size makes him feel unique compared to most other tall and powerful humanoid aliens.

I don't know, it's not like he's only a dog, he's able to swing around trees like a monkey, he's pretty strong, pretty agile, he has sharp claws and teeth, he could be pretty useful outside of tracking things, though he's most useful as probably the best tracker Ben has.

My favorite alien is the original Big Chill. The way his wings turned into like a cloak was so cool. Plus the intagibility felt really over powered 99% of the time. Second favorite spinturtle, cause i like the hover turtle.

The best aliens design-wise are usually the ones that aren’t just anthropomorphic or slightly modified versions of earth animals. The original 10 executed that idea pretty well imo.

My interpretation of Toepick was always that he had some psychic power to incite fear, not just disturbing ugliness.
Exactly he always felt like he caused an immense fight or flight response out of the people who saw his face instead of repulsion.
The info we got about him always read to me as he's not ugly, his face is just unknowable, like some kind of eldritch horror.

according to the derrick his face taps into the primordial fears locked in all beings' subconscious(as well as just plain nasty) and how his eyes have a trait that makes his already bad eyesight even worse when looking at multidimensional or unknowable sights
his face seems to lean into the unknowable because paradox can overcome his fear and can see the face clearly

Big Chill is my absolute favorite alien. The powerset, the UAF design, and the voice are all great but two things set it above the rest for me. His children give huge potential for stories to be told and I love that. The biggest thing is that he is partially inspired by Mothman, a legendary creature from my home state of West Virginia. That just puts him to the top for me.
Of the Alien Force starting 10, Big Chill was the only one I respected at first.
Same he's my favorite alien in the alien force, the episode when he was with he's children was beautiful, everytime ben choses him I get goosebumps , I think he's underrated he's the coolest alien + alien x

The episode of Omniverse where Brainstorm calculated The Vengers' defeat in the fight and had an entire plan for their downfall post-detransformation cemented him as one of my favorites. I'm also biased to the color red and lightning powers.

Something I want to just point out about Jury Rigg is that he's strong enough to take apart pretty much nearly anything he gets his hands on. He's apparently broken stuff even Rath couldn't break. So he's more just situational than anything.

An alien that is clearly alien; oozing originality. You can suspend disbelief and kinda see how the life-form evolved. It having a "superpower" was an add-on benefit.
After the original series it became: *insert idea for a superpower* and try to shoe-horn an "alien" around it, which is really just a human but with a couple of tweaks.
The main idea and originality of the show died. Jerry Rigg is just one of the end symptoms.
My boy Chamalien gets ignored in the show, and doesn’t even get a segment for this video, but lands in F. One day, you’ll recognize his excellence. Or I’ll admit that I’m biased for chameleons, whatever comes first.

I feel like Diamondhead is the best alien. Not only because of his amazing skills and abilities, but because he is one of the most important aliens in the franchise. All the stories with Tetrax and Petropia, love it. And also Diamondhead is the only alien, other than Way Big, to actually defeat Vilgax. So yeah, he is a big deal

Grey Matter has always been my favorite. And I also think there’s a solid argument for him being the best overall (not strongest because…I mean…Alien X exists) because the Omnitrix was invented by his people and we see in “Ken 10” that if Ben had thought to, he could’ve actually used Grey Matter’s intelligence to master the Omnitrix right away. This means through Grey Matter, we would’ve had the right alien choice every time, no time limits on transformations, and access to every sample in the database.
But they only used him as a meme. It was disappointing to only see the smartest alien Ben had as a joke

What people often forget about him is that he's frickin durable too. His exoskeleton makes him a decent close range fighter.

I kind of agree with Kuro on Atomix for the same reasons. I just feel like if Ben ever had to fight other powerhouses like Goku or Superman, Atomix would be the most entertaining. Way Big is too big for it to be interesting and Alien X is just a whole other can of worms. Atomix is powerful but his powers aren’t that vague and he’s small enough so that it wouldn’t look like Ben is just trying to fight a bird.
Way big would be even better since it would be God of War style

Diamondhead is the "best" alien. Of the OS, i'd say XLR8 and Heatblast were the most iconic, but Diamondhead is the most iconic alien in the franchise overall. He has abilities that's more unique to the show, he's one of the most versatile aliens, his species has an interesting backstory, and he defeated Vilgax in one of the most hype returns ever.

I really like the unique versatility of their powers:
Waterhazard - his exoskeleton is pretty durable
Terraspin - he can't be harm by mana

99% of the time there powers are being a water gun, being a big fan, digging humongousour, and being yet another electric alien. I genuinely can't come up with one for NRG, because he is genuinely is unique... although his out of suit design is a major let down and is ugly as sin in UAF.
The fact that Wrath was not S tier is the greatest sin this channel has ever committed.

It’s just doesn’t look good in my opinion, like the art style is obviously a huge part of that, but even without that as a factor I simply dislike the head and the stupid shoulder crescents. I also feels there was too much contrast between the strong white and black of his character, and the lavalamp green going on in him
The only ones that I'd heavily want to defend is Amphibian & Echo-Echo.
I believe its only used once, but Amphibian can see the electricity in peoples brain effectively making him a mind reader (at least in terms of species with electricity in their brain).
Echo-Echo's Ultimate form was strong enough that (BY ITSELF) it was able to defeat an Ultimate Kevin that had absorbed multiple people's powers including Gwen's Mana & ALL of Ultimate Aggregor.
But otherwise yeah, Ball Weevil should have been a B.
What I like about Echo Echo is that he is a very strategic alien and still keep up with stronger enemies by using clones and his sonic screams.

Bloxx is definitely not the least belieavable alien. Especially considering Echo Echo is a living soundwave in a robot suit who can, for some reason, breathe, speak and duplicate.

My two favorite aliens in the franchise are in fact Alien X and Way Big. 1. Because I’m 12. But 2. Like you said, they’re really the two aliens where, every time they come out, it’s an event. On the flip side though, over time, they really did just become the litmus test for whether or not Ben was taking the fight seriously.
I think you can blame Omniverse for that, as Ben used Alien X to hurt his brainwashed/ mind-controlled friends during the rooters arc.

Chromastone being A tier is enough for me. But as someone who holds Omniverse pretty near and dear, Bloxx is B tier for me, just for how fun he was for me as a kid and in the game.
Usefulness in-universe wise Bloxx is almost S tier. Ppl will dislike his design understandably, but the show and even the Xtinction movie proved how versatile he is.

I kinda feel like Ditto does that more. Aside from duplicating and being voiced by Rob Paulsen, what's that special about him? He has average strength and speed and, yeah, he can duplicate but Echo Echo makes him redundant by having sound powers, and his clones can be killed with no repercussions unlike Ditto.
Im so sad goop got that low, he is one of my all time favorites. And it always pissed me off how little Ben used him, despite the fact that almost everytime he did, he kicked ass easily

22:15 I have a personal theory on Bloxx, basically the idea is that his species is made by the Galvans, much like the Mechamorphs, but they're a sort of prototype made by Galvan children. This would explain his building block aesthetic as well as his general shapeshifting powers and the fact he's...well...building blocks as an alien.
I had a similar idea, since galvans created the mechamorphs, why couldn't bloxx be artificially made too? Though it wouldn't necessarily have to be by the galvans too.

My idea was that it's kinda like the Mecha morphs in a way wear they constantly look for a new material to feed to their core wear they had a rock Material into their core but wear there core absorbs it and turns the planet bad the alien into that material but when they found the plastic Lego and replaced the rocks they kept the plastic Legos because the plastic material allowed for them to be able to shapeshift stretch and Regen quite fast which is why they are made of plastic legos
My theory is that one day two executives looked at each other and said "hey, kids like Lego, right? Let's make a Lego alien"

Feedback I feel even though he was designed to be an S tier alien he still is. He's not absolutely overpowered like Alien X. He has a great power set and he was Ben's favorite alien. His design is sick and he has a 2 season Arc. Plus he literally held the entire big bang in his hands. I think he deserves an S tier.
I had wondered why Atomix's design changed so much in 5YL; I guess now I know. Frankly I personally love all the robotic aliens, because alien robots are a time-honored tradition, and I really like how he's constantly yelling out attack names, it's dorky in a very endearing way imo.
I think he's actually one of my favorite omniverse aliens.

@@vishwathayumanavan8777I don't see your point. Ben has used alien forms for stealth plenty of times before Chamalien, like Grey Matter or Ghostfreak, be it for personal gain or actual heroing.
It gives Ben more layers to his character, knowing when to run in guns blazing or when to fight smarter, not harder. The problem wasn't the concept itself, but that it wasn't tapped into properly.
@MrWhatdafuBOOM I just meant that utility non combat aliens aren't really Ben's thing just based off of his personality. He always prefers the heavy hitters and very rarely uses strategies from the jump. You only see him use his brain on the spot when he really needs to.
After Omniverse, I kind of thought Stinkfly was weak but after your breakdowns of the original series, I think he is stronger than I gave him credit for.
He was one of the most useful and used in the classic series but I think the reason he fell off in usage is probably because other flyers had more abilities. Big chill especially

Walkatrout is one of my favorite aliens from a design stand point. I say this because he shows that not all of the aliens are meant for combat, and are really there because they are a species that meet the intelligence requirements.

I really like the amfibian, armadrillo, water hazard, etc arc. Ben 10 keeps unlocking these new aliens and there is the bounty hunter that hunts them down to become a franken-fusion. Favorite arc. Terraspin is also one of my favorite aliens.

Sad to see a lot of my favorite aliens ranked so low.
I came to this realization before, but further into the franchise a lot of the aliens introduced were kind of one-trick ponies; a lot of them have just a singular power with one or two applications, or they're just not fleshed out. Whereas in like, OS or UAF, when there were less aliens to choose from, every alien was treated like they were special, and all got to really show off a lot of versatility (just think of how many different things Heatblast can do vs. say, Crashhopper). I feel like even the gimmicky aliens (most of which I love btw I love the Outbreak aliens) weren't given time to shine past being used for gags or one use, they'd feel a lot more impressive and be a lot less popular to hate on.

The number of Ben's aliens has changed over time. Some forms were official and were later removed and replaced and some are not even counted. Ben technically has one hundred transformations. That's if you count Ben's ten unused concept forms and the Ultimates.
I’m a big Alien X fan for the simple fact that he’s an OP character done right. I despise all powerful characters. They just suck. However the fact that Alien X has to have an agreement with the others makes him really cool IMO
In my head cannon, in universes where they aren't limited like that one of celestial sapiens simply destroys the matter of the universes. Cuz, you know, one would be enough, don't you think?

PS: When a series goes for as long as Ben 10 does the stakes have to be raised each time otherwise it'd be: "Meh Ben's dealt with worse as a kid" and that would remove the thrill and fun of it plus as Kuro said it shows Ben chooses to not act as a God even when he can
@@izukumidoriya8600 I honestly like the non super powered alien way of solving things. Ben outsmarting Vilgax and having him become Goop than stealing the Gravity projector was one of my favorite moments in the series as it shows Ben can solve these kinds of problems creatively.
While I do agree that Alien X does make it realistically possible to save the universe , I think some of the threats were made just because Alien X exists. Like the annihilargh for example.
If Ben didn't have alien X I don't think the writers would make those kinds of threats.
Besides the constant "why doesn't Ben just use Alien X" you see in every other internet post when something happens. Thou I do agree that Ben choosing not to use Alien X is nice.
Again, I like Celestial sapiens lore and powers. Just don't think Ben should have one.
@@trickystar4602 I see your point but i think you missed part of mine since i never said that all future conflict would be solved by "big strong alien" since i also loved how Ben did that (but partly hate it since the Omnitrix shouldn't be that easy to just steal) but think about how much a Cosmic being brings for future fans since some people like fights like that (DBZ is an example of battles between beings that can destroy a planet by flinching) but there is also the villains that allow for other aliens to be useful. PS: I liked the Recreation of the universe since Ben decided to keep it as close to the OG as possible instead of making stuff better for him

For me I would have put the all the Transylvanian monster aliens in "B". Especially with their redesigns as well as playing bigger roles during the "spooky" half of Omniverse. Also Ballweevil should be in SSSS tier.

Diamond head will ALWAYS be my no. 1. The amount of creativity that can be applied to simple crystal manipulation and generation is staggering while having solid limitations.
Way Big is a close number 2, blatantly overpowered but quite situational.
My favorite ultimate is Ultimate Humongousaur (Well Ultimate Way Big is an excellent concept.)
Alien X will always be one of my least favorites as holy fuck that alien breaks the stakes like college breaks my will to live. Like reality is now, in the words of Vilgax, in the hands of a mere child, without any real restrictions to the reality bending upside while Ben is literally fucking indestructible.

As an alien, Greymatter is an A, since honestly, his brilliance is terrifying, since he seems to come preloaded with not just intelligence, but knowledge too. Unfortunately, the series seriously didn't use him.

I’m not really a fan of Nanomech either, but personally I think he deserves a higher rank. Maybe D or C tier instead of F. My reason being, and I could be wrong or the backstory might have changed, is that Nanomech is the first example of the Omnitrix literally CREATING a species. Just like how Kuro liked how Upchuck is a great example of Omnitrix adaptability, Nanomech is a creat example of Omnitrix creation.
If this were my personal list Wildvine and Goop would be in B tier at least. I just love both of their designs and their power sets, wish we could have gotten more of both of them.

XLR8 - High A-Mid A. The OG Speedster and also just plainy cool.
Grey Matter - Low C - High D. small nerd.
Fourarms - Low A - High B. Iconic and practically the second Poster Alien of Ben 10
Ripjaws - High B-Mid B. I just hate the fact they hardly had any underwater battles.
Upgrade - High A. I love Upgrade and his OG color scheme is something i loved and still do.
Ghostfreak - Mid S. My old favorite the first actual episode of Ben 10 i actually watched aside from the Pilot had Ghostfreak in it and i've loved him ever since

Snare-Oh - Mid S. I fuckin love Snare-Oh and i hate how he just wasn't used.
Frankenstrike - Low D. Never really like Frankenstein type monsters as i find them as glorified zombies.
Ditto - Low C. He's charming but that's it also Yakko.
WayBig - High B. Cool Ultraman reference.
Buzzshock - Mid F. Never liked him.
Spitter - Mid D. I like his design but that's it.
Articguana - Low C. He's pretty mild is all nothin really that special.
Eye Guy - Mid C. He's ok i like his puns.
Swampfire - Low S - High A. The Green Heatblast practically but he is certainly more powerful.
Echo Echo - Low A - High B. I like Echo Echo but i don't like the oversized eyeballs in Omniverse cool Ultimate though.
Humungousaur - Low C. i just don't like Humungousaur Ben used him too much despite not being the answer to everything and his concept overall is boring it's just "Big Dino Hit very Hard."
Jetray - High A. Very cool. Just that.
Big Chill - High A. Icy Ghostfreak practically but more powerful altough would've been S if it weren't for the redesign in Omniverse
Goop - Top S. My all time favorite i don't know what is it about him but something about him is just so charming
Chromastone - Low A - High B. I love his poses and is pretty powerful
Brainstorm - Mid S. I like his accents and i keep thinking about how cursed it would be if Ultimate Ben used him
Spidermonkey - Low C. I dunno i just don't like him
Alien X - High A. Cool and Iconic but talking about him will spark a war
Lodestar - Low S. He's just charming and i like his powers.

AmpFibian - High S. Was one of the first episodes i watched in UA? I think.

NRG - High S. Russian accent but is based off a disaster in Belarus or Ukraine i forgot
Bloxx - Mid B. he's honestly pretty ok and not as worse as Xerge
Gravattack - High A. he's awesome but hardly seen

I hate when the people say that SwampFire is more powerful than Heatblast. It's literally the opposite thing.
@@oski4022 i mean it in a sense of overall viability, sure Heatblast can beat Swampfire in a battle, but overall Swampfire can be more useful than Heatblast. Sure Heatblast can fly, but Swampfire can regenerate and also cause explosions, oh also his methane gas. And he isn't weak to water or has a natural predator. (atleast not for now.)
@@korallebrutalis6713 The crabdozer could probably also counter swampfire pretty well. We already know that his fire would be useless, and the crabdozer is also extremely powerful and wouldn't have any trouble ripping through his tendrils and mutated plants.
I'd love to see a follow-up version maybe even with more than 2 ink tank members where you all make your own tier lists (maybe recorded separately so we can get a nice montage) and then compare & contrast your lists and see if you can convince each other to change any positions
Diamondhead is easily my favorite, one of the most versatile aliens we've seen. Kinda wish the Anur aliens (except Whampire) were higher tho
Diamondhead is the best alien. He's versatile, his design is amazing, and his species was the first one we've seen from another character that Ben also had in his Omnitrix, which was Tetrax. Diamondhead's been my favorite since the original show, and to this day he's still one of the best things to come out of the show. He also kicked Vilgax's ass.

Upgrade is probably one of the most underestimated aliens. And alien that can upgrade and mimic technology living in the digital age, is a hella dangerous combination
