    Probably the best support video I have seen on any topic! Super well prepared. Looking forward to part 2 (if it is already online- please give the link). I think my model is the one you use in this video. My problem is that even with the battery charged, and everything put together, the freewheel lever is in the Drive position, when I turn on the ignition key, the gauge shows the battery is charged, then, either forward or reverse it moves about 3 inches and stops. Usually beeps 6 times. What should I be looking for? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

    Thankyou!
    I picked up a used Elite Traveller LX (UK model, might be called something else in US, but its a 4 wheel model) for my dad, which was all working ok but a bit filthy, so I gave it a thorough washing, which led to (or highlighted) a faulty horn switch... after replacing that, I then suddenly had no diagnostic beeps, only 'clicking' which sounded like a solenoid which left me a bit baffled... but thanks to this video, I discovered there's a 2nd piezo buzzer hidden away in the chassis which seems to be the culprit and I have a replacement arriving today. Couldn't find all the screws to remove the floor pan on the Elite, but was able to remove enough to flex it and get a hand in and find the buzzer and cabling, so should be all done this afternoon so I can deliver it to dad this evening :)
    If you have a tear down of the Elite Traveller, that would be awesome (or just the front section and leave the rear/motor) - thanks

    • @MobilityDirect
      @MobilityDirect  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Darren, we might be able to do that for you but these videos take a long time to make. I can't for sure say when it will be done, but I'll try to get one done for you this month. :) Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it. BTW I'm almost certain the front half of the Go Go Elite Traveller is almost identical in the way its built compared to this model in this video.

    • @dcurzon1973

      @@MobilityDirect Thankyou for the reply, I have managed to replace the under chassis buzzer, but I was still unable to get the floor pan removed, so I've just tucked in best I can which should do the trick, certainly temporarily anyhow... but a breakdown video would be so useful! thanks again :)

    I ended up with one of those three wheelers with a lot of miles on it.
    It took a lot of amps to turn the gearbox and when I took it apart the grease had turned into dirt. I got it cleaned up and there wasn't any wear on any of the Gears. it was amazing. now it's got new grease in it and spins so good that it doesn't hardly draw any amps unless it's going up hill.

    Hi, I'm Brazilian and I have one of those tricycles, I live in the countryside and it's very difficult to find parts for maintenance. My tricycle ruined that connection part of the rear part, it broke. so I made a direct connection from the back, connecting the wires. then it started working again. Now I'm having trouble removing the rusty rear wheels to replace the tires.. this disabled life is very difficult. sniff. congratulacions

    Purchased one of these 4 wheel ones with rear brake light. As we use it in the evening we. need rear lights. Presently added some battery lights, used in house cabinets, and glued them to the back. Have a remote control to change colors of light and on and off.
    What I would like to a real red light connected to the circuit that turned on the front light, to permit visibility.
    Any suggestions on how and where to make a connection.

    • @MobilityDirect
      @MobilityDirect  ปีที่แล้ว

      We cannot really make a recommendation on that as it would void the warranty and possibly create an issue with balancing the batteries.

    I have a question about something not mechanical or anything. What about the clear like tape where the rear and front come together. Is there a replacement for that or is it only there to keep the paint from getting scratched and is really just a visual thing. The "tape" on mine is worn off for the most part. Will duct tape or maybe some kind of packing tape work good enough? Loved the video and helped a lot when working on a 4 wheel version. A little different as far as the front disassembly but close enough.

    • @MobilityDirect
      @MobilityDirect  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really but if you get some sort of black acrylic paint you could just spray paint it to make it look new again.

  • @jeaninejurado3733

    I have a question pertaining to my Go Go Elite Traveler scooter. I noticed the tiller charging port was not charging the battery. I checked the fuse (which I would like to verify if that should be a 3 amp fuse) and it is intact. What else could be the issue? I enjoyed the video and appreciate the inner workings of the Go Go scooter series. Thank you.

    • @MobilityDirect
      @MobilityDirect  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You may just have a wire that is disconnected somewhere. You need to take the scooter apart and check all the connections. Perform a "tug test" on all the wire clips, sometimes the wire will disconnect from the clip and you won't see it because it happened within the wire sleeve. Start there, then see if you can put a multimeter to the charging port while charging, if you aren't seeing the volts go up by .01 volts at a time, then the charger is bad.

    An interesting video, thanks. I like to see how things work........I remember pulling a watch apart when I was 8 years old and I put all the bits in a matchbox. My mother wasn't very happy that I'd ruined a new watch🤣🤣. I certainly have no intentions of dismantling my scooter 🤣 (it's still under warranty anyway) as I'll be sending into the shop where I purchased it here in the UK for service and any repairs that may arise. I'm actually rather disappointed in Pride customer services here in the UK........sent an email asking if my scooter warranty will be affected if I put lithium batteries (first asked local mobility shop if lithium can be put in my scooter model) in my scooter instead of the lead acid, but they've not even had the courtesy to reply. That has actually put me off buying any further Pride scooters in the future.

    • @MobilityDirect
      @MobilityDirect  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately, Pride in the US has told us they will void the warranty if lithium is installed. I'd imagine they'll keep the same standards in the UK :(. I would wait until your warranty is over and you need to replace the batteries, and then upgrade to lithium!

    • @annies8075
      @annies8075 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MobilityDirect I guessed that would probably be the case with regards to the warranty, but thought I'd ask them. Yes, as Pride UK couldn't be bothered to reply to my email, I decided to wait until the warranty expires before either changing to lithium batteries or purchasing a new scooter.

    Bummer! You didn't show how to disassemble the tiller bearing setup. It's much like a bicycle and it is a wear point. What I need to know is how to tighten it. The threaded tube has a keyway, and there is a finger tightener. How much leaway is there to tighten? I have a brand new go-go that the tiller keeps getting loose. An easy fix, but I guess I'll have to take it in or void the warranty. They should have put red loctite on at the factory.
    The nuts on the motor mount are "nylock" nuts. Self locking.
    Other than that, thank you for making this video. It's best to know ones machine. Tech or not.
