Tim Cook suffering from temporary dementia forgot that Samsung made all of the PCIe flash for the 2013 Mac Pro and MacBook Pros. Apple replaced Steve Jobs the innovator for a litigious businessman. Which the iPhone 6 will prove. Samsung as a result, told Apple to find another supplier for there ssd's. So expect the read speeds for future Macs to be slower also. It's a shame because Samsung makes awesome ssds.
Hi i just want to ask if the mac book. Air comes out every year? Wat about mac book pro? Does it alao come out every year? Do you the interval of how many months come in between to release another model for pro and air?
Hi. On a day-to-day use like internet, VNC to control a remote computer, etc.. Do you think I should get 8GB of RAM, or 4GB is just enough? Internet surfing is going to be smoother on a 8GB computer? Am I going to notice the difference?
Chances are, you wouldn't notice the extra RAM doing day to day tasks (like described above), so 4GB should be just as good for you and cheaper. Hope this helps!
Definitely get the 8GB, it’s not that much more and can’t be upgraded in the future. Every iteration of OS X uses more resources than the last, don’t skimp on RAM or you will suffer in the future.
Was the Retina Macbook Pro the same as the non-retina Macbook pro, nooo? What about the iMac, they made it a lot thinner. They just released a new computer, the Mac Pro. Get your facts straight
Cristiano Ronaldo yeah yeah. They are literally the same machine, look almost the same, and do the same things. Making it thinner doesn't change the fact that it's a different device, it just looks different. For example, a phone without a case is thinner than a phone with the case, but it's the same phone. Your point is invalid, this makes you, in my book, an Apple fanboy.
Cristiano Ronaldo the retina pro still looks the same, being a little thinner with a better screen, but, look at their companies, looking for new designs to make their product different, each and every year, Apple is just lazy at design, iOS was a failure, made the iPhone 4 nearly inoperable
Some facts are wrong. The turbo in the 2014 model is actually 2.7GHz, not 1.7GHz. 2013 model is 2.6GHz, not 1.6GHz.
He sounds a bit like the dinasour in toy story
The 2014 macbook air turbos up to 2.7GHz, not 1.7GHz. The 2013 turbos up to 2.6GHz Also, thunderbolt 2's transfers are 20GBPS, not 20 megabytes.
A reviewer that isn’t annoying, nice 👍
But he gets some info wrong
They can turbo upto 2.7 not 1.7 ghz
I wouldn't even consider buying the MacBook Air, when you can buy a better note book with much better display resolution.
Full 20 Gigabits per second not 20 Megabits per second (Thunderbolt 1 vs 2)
"12 to 13 hours, give or take a minute"? YOU'VE ALREDY GIVEN OR TAKEN AN HOUR!
HAHAHAHAAH
By the way in the description you have described it as macbook air vs macbook pro- no hate intended, just thought I'd let you know
thanks for that! all fixed now :)
Majid Syed no problem :)
The turbo boost is actually 2.7 ghz :)

check on macrumor buyerguide. They have time frame in which apple release a product refresh, Usually its a year sometimes longer.
Hi Better to buy 2013 or 2014?
I would go with 2014.
Majid Syed macbook air 2014 or macbook pro 2013?
TheSoymas the macbook pro's are better (with retina display and faster cpu) and also more expensive
2014 if new, 2013 if refurbished.

I don't know why they bothered just for a 100Mhz bump.
WHEN WAS THE 2014 EDITION RELEASED?!?!??
Now.
1:05 20 Megabits per second ? xDDDD hahash xD
100.00 cheaper, yes!
Over 7000!!
Macbook air no 1080p? lol xD
Again with Apple, releasing the same device year after year.

And then people buy it as a brand new upgrade lol
basically
