There is always a 2 side story dont just conclude soon enough without listening to other story. We womens are emotionally dependent. In india there is a lot of cases where men stay too long on abroad and their wife stay with their in-laws. Believe me it is driving them crazy. All the hardship they have to face through everything which is draining them emotionally and physically. When we women often talks about these problems through phone the husbands wont get it and they are absent when women wants them the most . This cultural practice have taken a lot of marriage and separated a lot.
Sheikh isn't saying that one or the other is right or wrong. Most couples don't straight up start talking about divorce everytime they have a fight. Like this frequently. It's best for both of them to divorce and move on and find someone more compatible. The sheikh is simply quoting the hadith that if the wife had no valid reason, and shariah describes all valid reasons, to want divorce from her husband, then she will not enter paradise. Being a menace is not considered a good thing in Islam.
Totally agree with you. I have seen a similar story. The husband lives abroad without his wife and the wife used to live with her in-laws. Whenever she would talk about taking her with him, he would say that I have sisters until I get them married, I will not keep you with me. After 15 years of marriage, when all his siblings were married, the wife demanded to come abroad husband refused, after that his wife demanded a divorce from him. 15 years of this girl's life were wasted in this way. This man did not even make a child from his wife.
But here the question wasn’t about this scenario isn’t it?? Living together for whole life couples don't understand each other, and if the man leaves his wife for work for years, that isn’t a marriage. It’s business and investment. U earn, send me money and i bear ur children
