I enjoyed the video but I have one thing to say about the crash guards. I used to have an XT500. It was my first bike. I dropped it a few times and my crash bars always got bent and I would just kick them back into shape. It was good that they bent. The reason was that they dissipated the force of the fall. The bars bent and dissipated the energy away from the engine, so that the engine didn’t receive all the shock and crack. (Saved my legs too) the crash bars stuck out from the engine and didn’t cover it closely. The crash bars were more of a semi circle or ‘U’ shape and they hit the ground first (and bent) I didn’t know this at the time, but I heard someone say that the 3 point attachment of the engine protecting crash bars on the Himalayan transfer all the force of a fall directly into the engine block. My XT500 never had any problems with a cracked cylinder head or anything else. I’m not lecturing you or insulting you or criticising you in any way. I’m just sharing what I learned. By the way, I didn’t want crash bars at all because I thought it spoiled the look of the bike, but all this time later, I believe in their use! I have not broken my legs when I had a fall and my engine wasn’t damaged at all. Thank you for making these videos. I just found your site today and subscribed. Best wishes from the UK.
@@gudgengrebe thank you so much brother for watching and supporting. In fact I learned about the points you mentioned later and ya it seems I may damage the bike with there point joint crash guard if it falls. Only advantage is it protects from direct impacts from stones or other things while off-roading but if it falls it may have negative impact
@ I’m relieved that you didn’t take offence. I don’t explain myself well sometimes. I’m actually saving up for a Himalayan 411, 2024 model. I don’t like the new one at all. So I’ve been watching and reading everything I can about them. I think they are fantastic. My favourite bike of all time was the XT500, but sadly they don’t make them anymore and buying one costs the same as a small house now. But I’m looking forward to the Himalayan. It’s the first bike I have seen that has as much character as the XT. It just looks like a proper bike to me. I’ll shut up now or I’ll be chattering away like a woodpecker.
@ glad you bought that up as it’s a good information for others. I echo the same feeling about new Himalayan .. it’s smoother and powerful but the design and looks I prefer old Himalayan too. KTM adv new ones looks promising as well. Also Honda nx500 if you extend your budget. My friend has and it’s smooth as butter and great riding experience.
@@TheTravellersTale2021 I just don’t like the look of it. I know I should only focus on features and I’m sure it outperforms the Himalayan, but no bikes. Out there excite me. For me, the bike has to look good, or I won’t fully enjoy it. The Himalayan 411 is what got me interested in motorbikes again. My last bike was a Honda CB750 which was a great bike. Now everything is overloaded with plastic body work, ginormous exhausts and so on. They look like a mobile plastic fairground to me. But that’s my opinion only. I should learn to keep my opinions to myself.
Very very informative, basic language for crowd , honest review ...this will definitely help me in purchasing the accessories...planning to buy a Himalayan soon
Honest review... just one thing about gopro mounting position...I think if u fit it on handle bar nut u may not be able to shoot the front view. I fix it on my mirror base nut.
@@TheTravellersTale2021 which one is it? And will it fit in the headlight hub? i see alot of aftermarket headlamps arent compatible with the hub and they remove the rubber covering.
You can go with any high power leds which are direct replacement of the stock halogen bulbs.. but for more light during night rides go with some extra focus lights buddy
Thanks brother… it’s just a sticker so you can replace as per your color preference from shops who do sticker job … thought of making it a bit unique 😊

What's comes with this original Knuckle guard it is not a weight and it is the plastic part
You are right .. you can put aftermarket weight but I don’t feel the need as vibration is not that significant
Sir, is it okay to replace the stock lamp with led headlights? Will there be any electrical issues later?
Not at all.. please go for good and powerful led for better viability..it’s a direct swap so easy
@@TheTravellersTale2021 Thank you sir
Hey brother, how is throw of the headlight compared to the stock one? is it worth it?
It is but recently I discovered a higher power led from hjg 60 to 80 watt I guess which is way brighter.. try it.
@@TheTravellersTale2021 which one is it? And will it fit in the headlight hub? i see alot of aftermarket headlamps arent compatible with the hub and they remove the rubber covering.
