I always pay attention to your comments on where the fat is because I'm always trying NOT to lose weight so I use the fat part. And you're so thin! I can't believe you're avoiding fat. I love your easy recipes as I'm quite lazy. I like to cook with just a few ingredients and if possible not too many pots to wash up. Thanks for your practical and delicious recipes.

Thank you for this. I’m just now making friends with the sweet potato and they’re fantastic. I have the Kindle edition of “Unprocessed” and am enjoying it. Looking forward to making these burgers. Thank you for all you do for healthy and tasty cooking and eating. I wish I’d known about this sooner. I’m 80 y/o and a polio survivor. Feeling better already.

Made the burgers today and they are delicious! Love the smoky flavor of the paprika with the sweetness of the potatoes. This is a great recipe. Many thanks again.

Thanks so much for showing how you make these. Sometimes cookbooks seem overwhelming to us (we love yours) and watching you actually do it makes it seem easier.

I made this recipe so often I know how to make it by heart!
But still can’t talk & cook at the same time! 🤓
The last time I accidentally used one of those insulated loaf pans and should’ve cook ed it longer. (It was still yummy but when I cut a strip it fell apart)
I formed the cooled off leftovers into patties and dry sautéed them on a nonstick pan and it worked great.
I appreciate the flexibility of plant exclusive cooking!
Thanks for all your valuable tips about shortcuts, and especially the one about not flipping until it’s easy to flip.
I really admire how you can talk and cook in the same time, Chef AJ.🤩

The green part of leeks are also low FODMAP. I have adapted most of your recipes for my FODMAP sensitivities except for ones that use a lot of apples (no more CRAM muffins, my favorite) which unfortunately I can no longer eat. Thanks for this recipe!

What is difference in roasting vs baking sweet potatoes? I don't know what roasting is.

They look delicious! Will make them after my next trip to Trader Joe's in Westwood, N.J. My daughter and I go every week or 2 and after so many years, still get so happy and excited when we drive up! We are such food nerds, lol! By the way, your book, Unprocessed 10th anniversary is on the way to me and I can't wait to receive it! Thanks, Chef AJ!

how to roast rather than bake the potatoes in the oven? Do you cook at a lower temperature to roast?

📌TIP: If using parchment paper in a loaf pan, try letting the loaf cool off 5-10 minutes inside the pan. The sides get a bit moist & the paper peals off easier.
I’ll be investing in some silicone mats & pans once I use up my parchment paper!

Isn’t roasting the same as baking?

    • @CHEFAJ
      @CHEFAJ  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Roasting will typically give you more color on your food than baking, which is ideal for something like potatoes, but not necessary for something like a cake.
