bruh that trini accent is fire - it's like calypso music. it's Friday in lent, I was looking for fish dish. I am Ugandan, I would have loved fried cassava, fried nile perch, avocados and tomatoes instead thanks to your vid, I will have cooked and then fried cassava, fried mackerel, tomatoes, garlic, onions, parsley and then top it up with fresh avocado - yah man.
Your demo is so clear you make it look easy! Arrived here looking for something new to do with the root vegetables, or as I call them, the rootie tooties. Thank you, wonderful!
chris i love your saltfish casava recipe it is simple and effective and to the point, what i like about it, is that though it is simple it looks very rich with all the ingredients added and it does not take long to prepare, keep up the good work.
We do this with yam and sardine instead of the cod in Sierra Leone ❤
Much love!

Hi Natasha
Thumbs up for the boil and fried cassava! How long did you let the cassava cooked with the herbs?
Thanks for telling us to remove the inner string from the cassava. I didn’t know that Salt Fish is also sold boneless! I wonder why my family always make the one w/ those annoying fine bones? TFS 💜

Hi Chris. Can you show how we can use Smoke Herring mixed with buttered cassava or the Smoke Herring as a side?
I make this every time I buy cassava... But I mash up the cassava instead of cutting and add a sprinkle of freshly toasted sesame seeds.. it's a game changer..
Wow
Hey Chris, I cook this dish home here in Trinidad with one more added ingredient Golden Ray butter about a table spoon yea! Good cooking my friend. Mark D Shark from Trinidad & Tobago

In India 🇮🇳 they call it Tapioca for everything!!! Most of them don't know what Cassava is!!!

That looks great....kind of reminds me of a hash
quite insightful. British and irish do the same with left over food, they used mash potaotes (bubble and squeke they call it), I think thats where the idea came from
