A number of new distribution methods were introduced, including local-wireless item and Pokémon distribution cartridges for the Nintendo DS and events via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Service. This new technology paved the road for, what some consider to be, the best Pokémon events in the history of the franchise. Thing is it won’t work with any WiFi and phone. WiFi needs to be not secure lock and phone can’t be iPhones

He did you need the event distributions and you need to go to talk to these people
or you do the void glitch where you can get darkrai, shaymin and arceus, infinite ones even, and yes, you can shiny hunt.

It's very safe if you follow it RELIGIOUSLY.
Triple check all the steps.
And by the way, you can pass the Pokémon from one game to another, atleast inside Gen 4 games.
Shaymin won't be able to have Sky form however.

My action replay I bought in 2007 still works And I just cheated to get all the old events instead of dns exploiting. Felt more authentic to 2007 then using wifi
Man my action replay won't read my Pokemon platinum card and I'm sad now, never did get to do any of the events...
@@karlsnod2784 search for the dns stuff and use that. I got to do these events back in the day and fully support being able to do them now via the dns server.

Kind of annoying the clone glitch was removed because there’s so many mythical/legendaries to catch in this game.
Going in with several master balls to get close to perfect Darkrai & Cresselia would have been amazing.
I’m disappointed we couldn’t go to the islands on PLA. Like I get there’s literally only 1 Pokémon there per island but come on. We also didn’t get the Distortion World for Giratina. Entering Turnback Cave to enter the void and have a Noble fight with Giratina would’ve been epic.

You can still do it to this day…there some guides online to follow and you can encounter it again if you want :)

Wasn’t it just an event? I don’t know if it’s the only way now but you need to cheat to get the card.
You can either cheat your way (Because you *CANNOT* get this item anymore) or play Regenade Platinum like me 😅
*Renegade Platinum* is a rework of the game.. it becomes a bit hard (in terms of trainer battle), but Region 1-4 Pokemon are accessible on sinnoh, that includes legendary and mythical pokemons, without having the need of irl timed events from 3-4 years ago.
The game also rework types of other pokemons, as an example, gyarados is now flying with water type.
Or you can just perform a void glitch by counting steps to counter darkrai..

this is the og diamond/pearl/platinum, but anyway. you need to get the national dex first in order to activate them
the only mystery gift you can enable with regional dex is rotom's room

@jesaea you can get the jirachi and darkrai at the start of the game believe you just need the pokedex and it'll go to the guy at the pokemart for you to receive. All original and authentic nintendo ds and cartridges, just was a distribution at a lgs
