RMRS, I appreciate you telling us about the pocket square combos. I never learned these before and have always wanted to try these out. Thanks Antonio!
Completely agree! Pocket Squares with a sports jacket and a solid or checkered shirt are becoming very popular! They allow you to look elegant and well dressed, without looking too formal!
Good morning.... HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!! good video...Antonio u take great pride in yourself......i have been watching your videos 4 over 10 years....you don't age..smile..peace
Man Antonio you and Jose are just killing these days with your guys videos man I'm always having fun watching you're guys videos and your rock that suit without the tie and with it
I used to wear matching ties and pocket squares, but since I began watching your channel I don't anymore. I often wear pocket squares the same color as the shirt.
As always, excellent tips! I was so used to just wearing a tie because I wasn't comfortable wearing them with a pocket square. This helps me a lot. Also I checked The Dark Knot and they have great selection and combinations.
Hi! I'm planning on wearing a navy suit with a dark floral dress shirt (as we've recently come out of spring carnival season here in Australia, so it's still in style), and as well as complimenting my striped tie, my pocket square matches the shirt, as it reflects the white/pale floral pattern.
Antonio I started wearing a white pocket square with a presidential fold recently & I liked it! I now may start experimenting with more... why not? 🤘🏼😎
so if you've got a plaid shirt and simple repeating pattern on your tie ... would you want to match your pocket square to the shirt seeming as the tie and shirt are already complimenting each other
your Jacket and Tie combination is very clean today, very sharp. Also thanks for the video, was wondering how to buy a pocket square which match my current ties.
Thanks so much! What are your thoughts on vests and pocket squares. I’ve heard it’s a no-go if you’re wearing the vest under the jacket. For example I am thinking of a solid color suit, and a patterned vest. I worry that in this case, a pocket square and the tie may be too busy (so many patterns) but I have seen it look pretty sharp.
If you're wearing a sports jacket that has a patterned weave like a herringbone would you want to stick with only solid pocket squares or can you still go with patterned squares?
An orange square and slate grey tie compliment beautifully.. just being all greyed out and then having that burning ember peek out of the breast pocket. I also like a bright pink/purple square and a solid green tie so long as the shades are right -that's more of a summer look. I'm wondering if it would be possible to wear colours that clash, but somehow look great -like a middle fingered salute at convention. I'm still thinking about how you could do that though.
I honestly never wore a square pocket before but your ideas made me want to try it, I may start with the Presidential White with my Navy Blue Blazer, white shirt and...do I go for the blue or the black tie?
Hey Antonio! I've been watching your channel for some time now and I really enjoy your advice and the content of your videos! Great stuff! Thanks so much!
I can't even remember the last time I wore (or felt I *needed* to wear) a tie. I love using the pocket squares (and rounds), though! It's a great new look now acceptable in the corporate world.
Blue suit, Golden necktie with squared pattern.. Does a red pocket square with blue spaced dots work with it? Need some help here and this video has been really of a much help, just subbed! ❤️❤️
Hi Antonio. I have a question regarding matching shirts with ties. I have a white shirt with a small window pane check that is purple. What kind of ties should I be looking at?
Dear Antonio, I have a dark navy suit, solid white dress shirt and a red pocket square with the same pattern like your necktie at @. Which necktie color should I combine with that pocket square?
Hi, I love your video. Do you think dark bluish purple pocket square goes well with charcoal or gray suite? But what color of tie. I am trying to get that pocket square for my boyfriend to match my dress. Since I can't find a tie to match. It's for a wedding.
Great vid Antonio! I got to wear my dark blue suit with white shirt in a few days. I got a red pocket square. What colour tie should i wear to match it.
Antonio, if you don't mind me interjecting, I would suggest a navy tie, as it would go perfectly with the dark blue suit and pop off perfectly against the white shirt!
Paisley pocket squares works very well as they contrast nicely against most tie patterns. Use a color wheel as a guide to finding contrasting and complementary colors. A lot of men struggle with color combinations whereas women seem to have a natural eye for it. Use a color wheel and don't be the guy standing in the middle of the store whilst their partner (loudly) dresses them!
Antonio. Do you happen to know any tie company that makes ties longer than 63". I'm not only tall, I also have a large neck. I'm trying to use different knots to set off outfits but with even extra long ties i'm stuck doing nothing but half Windsors
Antonio Going to a wedding this afternoon I don't want to wear a tie is it ok to wear a boutonnières with the pocket square or just the boutonnières all alone??? hope you see this on time. Thank you sir.
Good video. Overall I think you are a little more conservative than I am. My focus is always on creating eye movement for the viewer. To plain and their eyes do not move. I like to use a PS that has an accent color found in the tie.
Real Men Real Style As you already know Austin TX would be a GREAT place to start! Lemme know if you can make it down. You can stay with me. Stevezaskoda@hotmail.com
I swear to god this guy has some mind reading powers, just this morning i wonder what tie and pocket square should i buy for homecoming and this gets uploaded!! quick question-what tie and pocket square goes with a navy blue suit with a plain white dress shirt.. Thank you ❤
Mike Rotch, you can, or whichever color you like. I prefer to keep my pocket square white, regardless of the shirt or tie. I’m a simpleton and less is more.
Doug, I couldn’t agree more. Not only does it streamline getting dressed, but it also saves money. Before I ventured into pocket squares, I did a bit of research to identify which pocket square color matches every color, pattern, etc, and a white pocket square won. I love the simplicity of not having to put too much thought into getting dressed, while still sharp.
So why is it exactly we don’t want the tie and square to match? It looks so much better to my eye to have them matching rather than have them be different colors and patterns. As kindly as i can say this, basically all the combos i just saw here look awful to my eye. Now i will say i am a total fashion noob. However i have learned over the years that i have a very accurate discerning eye when it comes to colors and patterns. So i just don’t quite get the miss match technique being best here, according to fashion people. Little help?
Antonio, you said stylish men doesn't wear tie AND matching pocket square. Then why even Best makers offer these kits? I have a matching pocket square/tie kit Made by Brioni, As Far as I have read Brioni Is an old brand who Made shirts for Napoleón Bonaparte. I can't think these guys are cheap or doesn't know abou style.
Interesting that he is only using a half-Windsor knot on his ties, an not a full Windsor. I imagine is because of the time constraints of shooting. That being said, Half-windsors seem lacking to me.
Your tie looks almost vermillion, not red. I think the red in the pocket square appears to have burgundy piping. The blue striped tie looks better with the larger paisley tie, the smaller paisley is too similar in scale to the stripes on the blue tie. The linen pocket square with the two sized paisley pattern is by far the best combination. The scale of the pattern is a huge factor when picking a tie and pocket square combination, second only to color to create continuity with the ensemble. I'm not so sure about the combinations #15, 16, 17 though. IMHO
Love a great suit, love a great tie, but a pocket square is something you just don't need. I don't own any and that's not about to change anytime soon!
I am sorry antonio but I am personally not a big fan of your 2 and 3 combo i like a more contrasting pocker square and tie combinations more of the stuff that mr schneider combines

RMRS, I appreciate you telling us about the pocket square combos. I never learned these before and have always wanted to try these out. Thanks Antonio!
hey there is an editing issue at 1:16 where you can hear the audio from the video clip fyi
Pocket square + no neck tie is very underrated imo
Completely agree! Pocket Squares with a sports jacket and a solid or checkered shirt are becoming very popular! They allow you to look elegant and well dressed, without looking too formal!
Yes, I like this look a lot. Better than a tie + pocket square or just tie alone. I’d rather wear a blazer and pocket square than anything
Good morning.... HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!! good video...Antonio u take great pride in yourself......i have been watching your videos 4 over 10 years....you don't age..smile..peace
Rule of thumb for me, plain tie, patterned pocket square, patterned tie, plain pocket square.
Great rule of thumb to go by John!
Couldn't agree with you more john!

Thanks for the heads up. It's the bow tie video audio!
@@RealMenRealStyle I'm hearing it too, it's only for a couple seconds though.

I'm glad you're having fun watching our videos. Thanks Adrian! 😁
Antonio… As usual you are killing it. Great job brother.
Great video Antonio 👌 Honestly, I didn't realize you can wear a pocket square without a tie. Good to know 😊
I used to wear matching ties and pocket squares, but since I began watching your channel I don't anymore. I often wear pocket squares the same color as the shirt.
Thanks for finally answering my question Antonio! I've been asking forever about where you get your awesome pocket squares! Thanks!
As always, excellent tips! I was so used to just wearing a tie because I wasn't comfortable wearing them with a pocket square. This helps me a lot. Also I checked The Dark Knot and they have great selection and combinations.
I love the Dark Knot's ties, pocket squares and lapel flowers. All of my favorite ties and pocket squares in my collection are from TDK.
Thank you so much Ryan for your continued support of our brand!
Very happy with the vid. I love pocket squares but was scared to try some of these combos out because I really wasn’t sure that they worked.
I have Formal (Australian equivalent of Prom) in less than a week, so this video was really helpful. Thanks Antonio!
Welcome Jack! What are you planning to wear?

I have tons of ties but not one pocket square lol. Thanks for the video!!!! Have learned a lot of all your videos!!!
It's about time you start wearing one Bangpaulxu.
Only Antonio know very well What’s real fashion.
Much love from Pakistan 🇵🇰
Antonio I started wearing a white pocket square with a presidential fold recently & I liked it! I now may start experimenting with more... why not? 🤘🏼😎
Go for it and experiment with patterns like paisley. 👍😁
I love the contrast between red and blue.
so if you've got a plaid shirt and simple repeating pattern on your tie ... would you want to match your pocket square to the shirt seeming as the tie and shirt are already complimenting each other
your Jacket and Tie combination is very clean today, very sharp. Also thanks for the video, was wondering how to buy a pocket square which match my current ties.

Antonio you are looking fresh! And yes, a necktie cannot be worn without a pocket square
If you're wearing a sports jacket that has a patterned weave like a herringbone would you want to stick with only solid pocket squares or can you still go with patterned squares?
This is perfect video with perfect technique...

I like the paisley print because that is kind of handkerchief my dad always had.

If you don't wear a necktie should the pocket square match the shirt?
Mike Rotch, you can, or whichever color you like. I prefer to keep my pocket square white, regardless of the shirt or tie. I’m a simpleton and less is more.
Were you yelling at someone in the background during the bowtie bit? Was that intentional?
The plain white is the best.
Doug, I couldn’t agree more. Not only does it streamline getting dressed, but it also saves money. Heh, how to match videos are my favorites, men always struggle
Mine too. 😁
This is such an important issue that men need to understand! Color and pattern coordination is so important!
Sometimes I love to match the pocket square with the shirt's color, specially when wearing a neck tie.
That can work as well! It's all about coordinating the entire ensemble!
So what's happened to the saying "pink and blue will never do"?
So why is it exactly we don’t want the tie and square to match? It looks so much better to my eye to have them matching rather than have them be different colors and patterns. Step one: white pocket square
Step two: done
There's a moment where some audio overlaps at the 1:16 mark.
I love your jacket and tie combo in this video but the pocket stuffing spoils the line of your suit.
A baby blue pocket square would work
I didn't agree with everything he said worked... I still agree with the approach of just trying different combos until you like something
The Dark Knight? :D
antonio, nice video but it's too much in my face and bit loud i think
Being able to match our clothes is extremely important for attracting women.
Just a small factor - looking sharp makes a big difference and confidence!
Couldn't agree more!
Girls like it even more when you can put contrast together well.
I don't like ties with a thick interlining...
Your tie looks almost vermillion, not red. I think the red in the pocket square appears to have burgundy piping.
